Gideon Moore wiped the cold sweat from his forehead, and said awkwardly, "Sorry, I apologize."
Dallyn shot him a glance, "Didn't you say you weren't coming in?"
"It's too dangerous in here, I won't feel at ease. If anything happens to Mistress, I won't be able to handle the responsibility."
"Then you follow, with your old arms and legs, don't be a drag when it counts."
Aubree Groove walked straight in. Before her was a bottomless darkness; the ground beneath her feet was bumpy and uneven. The sound of dripping water from the stone walls on either side was exceptionally clear in this windless and silent place.
Dallyn was only tugging at the hem of Aubree's skirt, stepping in sync as she followed her.
"Mistress, what kind of place is this?"
It's really scary.
Aubree's ears pricked up, she swiftly turned off her phone, and suddenly pulled Dallyn, pinning her against the stone wall. She hooked one leg around Gideon, tripping him, and he fell to the ground with a cry of pain.
