Chu You's dark eyes grew increasingly inscrutable, flashing with emotions that Nian Yuyu couldn't understand.
After a while, he unbuckled his seatbelt.
"I'll take you home."
"Oh," Nian Yuyu obediently responded.
It wasn't until she got out of the car that she remembered the two ceramic dolls they had painted at the amusement park that afternoon.
"We haven't picked up the ceramic dolls yet."
"Leave them at my place," Chu You said, taking her hand.
Nian Yuyu thought about the almost decoration-free house in Taian New City and compromised.
"Alright, then."
The two walked out of the elevator, and the corridor's sound-activated lights turned on at their approach.
As Nian Yuyu opened the door, Chu You, uncharacteristically, did not enter.
"Get some rest early."
He said that and then prepared to leave.
"Chu You." Nian Yuyu hugged his arm, her clear, round eyes staring at him.
"What's really wrong with you?"
He had been acting strangely ever since they were in the car.
