THE GENESIS OF IT ALL

Anika, Daniel and Isabella all woke up the next morning to prepare for their new school.

"Mom, do you really have to put us in the same school as Lisa and Edwin?" Anika whined while coming down the stairs.

"Well that's the only school that's close enough to the house and if I drop you guys off for school I won't be late for work, do you understand?" Mrs. Johnson explained as she walked towards Isabella's playroom.

Anika, Daniel and Isabella we're eating at the table with Jake eating out of his food bowl on the floor, when they heard the shout of their mother saying, "ISABELLA RACHAEL JOHNSON, COME OVER HERE RIGHT NOW YOUNG LADY."

Three of them glanced at each other wondering what could be the problem. They hurried to the playroom to meet their angry mother at the door.

"I told you to clean up your playroom especially your toys yesterday, ESPECIALLY your pointy toys. I have told you times without number you are never to Young to keep your room clean, if you couldn't do it why didn't you ask your nanny to help you. The next time this happens your going to get grounded."

"But I didnt -" Isabella protested.

"But nothing I'm going to tell Alicia to clean this up at least that's part of what I pay her for, Miss Alicia, Miss Alicia," she called out as she wandered off to look for the maid.

"But how could Isabella have done this I saw her pick up all her toys yesterday when I went to the library."

"I didn't do it, I picked up all my toys every single one I don't know how....I just..." Isabella said in tears.

"It's ok Isabella we believe you,"Daniel consoled.

They all went downstairs to continue breakfast and soon Isabella got over it telling herself nothing would ruin her perfect morning.

Mrs. Johnson drove them to their new school that morning, "Be good kids and remember Anika socialize," then she zoomed off to work.

"Bye Bella,"Anika said walking off with Daniel to the high school block.

"Bye Isy," Daniel said.

Daniel and Anika were in the same class, as they got into class their teacher Mrs. Smith, introduced them to the class and after that she asked who would like to sit with any of them.

Anika was horrified when she saw Lisa waving furiously at her with a big grin on her face.

Daniel had a smirk on his face knowing Edwin wasn't in the same class with them but watching Anika's face alone was entertaining him.

The teacher brought them back to reality with what she said next, "Anika, you'll go sit with Lisa and Daniel, sit over there with Tyler, he's the one putting on the orange shirt."

"Damn it," Anika muttered under her breath and sat on the desk next to Lisa's and gave her a smile.

Biology was very slow, followed by History which was simply boring then Geography.

'Could today get any worse,' Anika thought, Lisa was just whispering away beside her.

Meanwhile, Isabella was having lots of fun in all her subjects, during recess, she made lots of friends and played away.

'I can hold on, I can endure this, we can endure this Anika, I can't do this anymore.'

"Please stop talking, please I beg of you, you're driving me crazy out of my mind, dont you ever stop. I've been trying, trying, but I couldn't do it anymore, ha."

Lisa got the message because the whole class was looking at her.

'Rrrring,' the bell for lunch rang.

"Finally," Anika thought, two girls walked over to Anika.

"Hi, my name is Laura."

"And my name is Janet."

Would you like if we took you to the cafeteria for lunch?" Laura asked.

"No, I wouldn't mind at all." She and the girls went to the cafeteria while Lisa chattily followed.

Isabella sat beside her new friends Brenda, Lucy and Kaida during lunch. At the cafeteria, adjacent from where Anika was sitting she saw Daniel sitting with Tyler and Edwin, eating away happily and then he smiled sheepishly at Anika, she also smiled back the same way. She knew it was because she was sitting beside Lisa.

Anika was talking with Laura and Janet but then she saw Lisa sitting on another table looking sad.

"Excuse me for a second please," Anika asked. She walked over to where Lisa sat and sat beside her.

"I understand if you don't want to talk to me or if you don't like me but I want to let you know that it's been nice having you as a friend."

"No, don't get me wrong Lisa, I like having you as a friend but I would like it if you could stop talking a lot, ok, come join us at our table."

"Thank you, it's been long I had a friend." She said carrying her food tray.

At the end of school, the driver their mom got for them came to pick them up. Three of them got into the car and it went towards their house.

"So how was school today Bella?" Anika asked.

"Yeah, did you make new friends?" Daniel also asked.

"School was fun Mrs. Brooklyn is a really nice teacher and I also made new friends and we had lots of fun."

"That's nice, did they give you homework?" Anika asked.

"Yes they did but don't worry I can do it myself," Isabella said smiling, then turned her head towards the window.
