Mia looked at Elijah with disgust in her eyes. She couldn't believe she had actually fallen in love with such a monster. She cried her heart out as she thought of all the negative things that had happened to her since she met him. How she had lost her friends one after the other, and the death of her mother.
Though she was partly to blame for all that had happened to her, she blamed it all on him. Mia decided she couldn't continue her life this way; she couldn't spend the rest of her life in a coven.
One day when she was sure no one was watching, Mia took packed all her belongings and made her way out of the coven to the surface. She had planned to ditch her new family to start her life all anew. She would have loved to take her child with her but she knew that would make them come after her.
With the little she had stolen from Miss Thalma's house, Mia fled to Apolline far away from Elijah and his reach.
The following day, Elijah realized that Mia was nowhere to be found in the coven. He searched every nook and cranny but all she found of hers was a piece of paper she had left for him. It was a goodbye letter she had written for him. She had written to let him know her intentions of starting a new life without him. Elijah grunted with pain in his heart. He loved her so much and couldn't bear to live without her by his side.
He ripped through to the surface. He wondered where she could have gone but no matter how hard he tried he couldn't find an answer. Elijah thinking she had returned to her house in Grotlik jumped into one of the jeeps that had been left by the dead military men and headed for Grotlik. He ransacked the house and searched as hard but there was no sign of Mia or any clue as to where she had gone to.
With no one else to kill and feast on, Elijah's army fought and feasted on each other. The strongest among them attacked the weakest among them until the last of them had died. One after the other, the rest of the pack died till they were wiped out of existence.
With Mia gone, Elijah returned to Oakwood where it all started. His house had been burnt down to ashes. He had no one and nowhere to go; Elijah returned to his grave never to wake again.
In Apolline Mia landed herself a job as an attendant in a cruise ship where she spent the rest of her days. Though she still felt the urge for blood, Mia tried her best to control her urge and only attacked a few men who tried to take advantage of her during their stay on the ship. Up till her death, Mia killed a total of five men during her stay in Apolline.
