THE GUY WHO KILLED MY BOYFRIEND

CHAPTER TWELVE

Dayne Jamila's POV

"You look so perfect baby!" said CJ as they are all staring at me, talking about my three brothers.

Well, I am not ready for the party that I've just known yesterday.... it is just that, Chelsea and Roxette prepared everything for me so it is such a shame if I will not come, right?

By the way, how come I was the last one who was informed about the party? Is this another plan of Chelsea? Arghhh! Never mind! Maybe it is my fault because I am not paying attention to the announcement our school is posting.

CJ fetched me to the venue at around seven in the evening. The event was about to start when I arrived.

I immediately looked for Chelsea and Roxette. I easily found them because Chelsea is shouting while waving at me. Another embarrassing moment to start the evening with.

We have caught the attention of many.

I hurriedly walked towards Chelsea and Roxette.

"A princess from another castle! Whoooaaaaa!"

I rolled my eyes as a response to Chelsea's comment and reaction.

I sat beside Roxette. They are both having their escort and so I guess I don't belong here.

"Dylan is on his way," said Chelsea. Yeah, speaking of escort.

"Dylan will surely drop his mouth the moment he sees you, Jamila. Haahahhahahha. What a lucky guy!"

I just nodded. Chelsea is so talkative. How come she can still talk a lot even if we are surrounded by these two new guys?

"Oh! The wait is over! Dylan is over there!"

And just like what she did earlier when she called me out, she also waved her hands and shouted for Dylan's name in the middle of the crowd.

All I can do now is to put my palm on my face. Oh, soil! Eat me now!

"What was the last meal you have eaten?" Dylan asked Chelsea. Then he occupied the vacant seat on my right side.

"Uhmmm... burger. Why?"

"I thought it's a microphone. Your voice makes me sick." Indeed Dylan. Very well said.

Well I guess, Chelsea will be offended but she just laughed at what Dylan said.

"Hahahahah! As usual!"

I looked at my watch. It's eight in the evening and the emcee has just ended his speech.

The party now officially began!

I was about to stand up to get some food but Chelsea pulled me back to my seat.

"What?" I asked her.

"Where are you going?"

"Get some food. I am hungry."

"Dylan will do that for you. You have to remain on your seat."

I narrowed my eyes. Like seriously? I can do that by myself.

Without words, Dylan stands up then walks towards the buffet area.

"What's with you, Chelsea?" I asked the moment Dylan left.

"Beauty and honor. Hahahhahha."

I rolled my eyes. I think I will not be able to get a nice answer from her.

Minutes later, Dylan brought a plate full of different kinds of cuisines.

"Eat all of it." He said then put the plate in front of me.

"Ooooooooooooohhhhhhh! How sweet!" Chelsea reacted.

I just remained silent then started to eat. As I've said, I am hungry.

Chelsea and Roxette get their food as well, together with their escorts.

"You don't want to eat?" I asked Dylan. He is just observing everything. He didn't get some food to eat.

"I am not hungry," he answered.

I just shrugged.

After dinner, some of the students started to dance.

Roxette and her escort were the first pair who danced in our group. Honestly, I have no plan to dance, especially if it is with Dylan the escort.

I was about to check my phone when someone approached me.

He is asking if I may dance with him.

I take a glimpse to Chelsea then later on to Dylan. They are just staring at me as if waiting for my response.

In the end, I just said yes. I am just trying to be nice, yes- to everyone.

So now, I have my first dance with a stranger.

"Thank you for saying yes," he said while smiling at me.

I smiled back then just nodded.

Oh, come on! I never thought that this party will just end up like a JS Prom!

"By the way, my name is James. Can I have your name please?"

Oh, a total stranger indeed!

"I'm Dayne Jamila."

"How old are you? How are you related to Dylan?"

I smiled before answering him.

"Can we just dance?" I am not in the mood to answer all of his questions.

We both remained silent. When the song ended, I just made an excuse that my feet feel a little numb.

I returned to our seats. Dylan is the only one who's left here.

"Where are they?" I asked.

"Isn't it obvious? They are all dancing."

I raised my brow. Seems like he's not in a good mood.

Another song just started. The pair who is sweetly dancing is now increasing.

A few seconds later, someone approached me again. Asking if I can have a dance with him.

I looked at Dylan. He looks so busy tapping his phone.

I just said yes again. Maybe it is better to dance than sitting here.

Why did I have an escort anyway? Argh! Never mind.

The night is getting deeper and deeper. I am dancing with lots of strangers, even though they are my schoolmate, I don't know their names.

After several hours of dancing, I choose to take my seat again.

I'm tired. Such a long night but I may say, one of a kind. I haven't experienced this before.

The host announced that the final dance is about to start so we should begin choosing our last partner.

This time, I choose to take a rest.

I can see Chelsea and Roxette from afar, they are enjoying the night.

I yawned. This is the problem with me most of the time when I am really tired, I just wish that bed will eat me up.

I leaned my head on the table.

I can hear in the background that the final song just began.

I almost bumped my head on the table when someone grabbed my hand.

Its Dylan.

"What's your problem?" I asked.

"Let's dance," he answered.

Then he leads me in the middle of the crowd.

It left my mouth wide open.

Did he want to dance? But, is it necessary to drag me out just to ask for a dance?

Argh! Dylan!! You are something!

I looked around us. Everybody is watching how we danced while having a common smile on their faces.

"Don't mind them. Keep your eyes on me." Dylan said.

I was trying to meet his eyes but I just can't.

I put my chin on his shoulder to avoid his gaze. But I thought, it was a wrong move. The next thing that happened was, Dylan, hugged me.
