The following day at work, Brad did his best to avoid Enzo, which wasn’t easy since for a good part of the day, they had to work in the same space.
At lunchtime, Brad walked into the staff lunch room to find Enzo already there, sitting at the table eating a salad roll. Before Enzo had time to look up, Brad turned.
“Hey, Brad. What’s up?”
Brad winced. He’d been seen, and now things were reallyawkward.
“You avoiding me, bro?”
Brad turned around. “‘Course not,” he replied, a little too quickly. “Decided it’d be better if I went to the toilet before I sat down.”
Enzo nodded.
