Drama abroad: Take off
A day before the trip
Alex's POV
It's a Sunday afternoon a day before the LA trip. I'm so excited. Although my room is a mess. I wasn't too worried I have done everything I need for the trip. Oh, wait hold on. I HAVEN'T PACKED. I have no idea how I had managed to have forgotten the most important task.
I quickly picked up my phone and texted Kylie, Mason and Levi.
Alex: Guys come quick it's URGENT!!
Kylie: Oh gosh, why what's wrong.
Mason: Yeah, r u ok
Alex: No more texting just come!
Levi: Ok ok cool your jets I'm coming
I relaxed after the texts. It was approximately 18:38. We had to be at the airport by 3:00 am so I had 2hours and 22minutes to pack before I go to bed.
Mason's POV
I walked into Alex's room with the rest of the gang. Her room was quite messy, but so is mine. 'So what's the emergency?' I asked. 'Can't you see!' She yelled
We all gave her a confused look.
'I HAVEN'T PACKED!'
'Wha-Alex, we leave TOMORROW, as in less than 24 hours.' Kylie said
'I know, but I completely forgot.' She said walking around the room.
'Okay okay, nothing to worry about,' Kylie started 'Let's split up into pairs, someone can go with me to get snacks downstairs and someone can stay here and help Alex start packing.'
'I call Alex's partner!' Levi said.
'Hey, but what if I want to be Alex's partner.' I confronted.
'Well, you should've called it first.' He said back to me.
I really wanted to stay with Alex and have some one on one time with her.
'Uh, Mason I think you should help me downstairs.' Kylie said motioning her hand for me to follow. I just gave up and followed.
When we got down to the kitchen she turned to me and crossed her arms. 'Come on, spill.' She said
'Spill what?' I questioned.
'I know you like Alex.' She said.
'Whaaaaaaaat, tha-that's not true.' I answered in a high pitched voice. She raised an eyebrow forcing me to tell her the truth.
'Fi-fine I do.' I said putting my hands in my pocket and looking down at the floor. Then, she started squealing and jumping around the kitchen. 'I knew it, I knew it, I knew it!'
'Ok, calm down it's not a big deal.' I said. 'Not a big deal? Not a big deal!' She yelled 'Of course it's a big deal! You like Alex!!'
'Shhhhh.' I said. 'Not so loud.'
' I'm going to make sure you're together, I'll help you.' She said excitedly. 'Oh, thanks Kylie but you don't have to...' I got cut off. 'Um, of course, I have to help you, what are friends for.' She said nudging me.
I quickly thanked her and we got the snacks and headed upstairs. To help pack.
2 hours later
Alex's POV
Yes! We did it and 22 minutes to spare.' I said. We all high fived.
Guys thank you so much, you should get going,' I started 'What time are we meeting tomorrow at the bus stop to go to the airport?
'Uhh 2:00?' Kylie stated. 'Yh, sure, cool.' We all agreed.
After they left to go home I put on my pyjamas and got to sleep.
1:30 am
BEEP BEEP
I got out of bed so quickly that I almost fell down. I got showered, dressed and ran to everyone's rooms to say goodbye, obviously waking them up in the process.
I went downstairs quietly, opened the door and out I was. I closed the door and made my way to the bus stop with excitement bubbling in me. When I got there I saw all of my friends there already. I'm not late everyone is just early.
'Hi, guys.' I said excitement in my voice. They all greeted me back and we waited in anticipation for the bus to the airport.
The bus was pretty empty considering it was really early in the morning. The ride was smooth too.
We got to the airport just in time to see all our classmates there. Including the one and only, Veronica Baxter. I just ignored her so I could avoid any drama. We all went to check in which took about an hour for everyone.
'Flight 247 will be taking off in 25 minutes. Can all passengers please board the plane now.' The announcer said. That was our cue to board the plane. And about 10 minutes later we took off for an 11-hour journey.
We were finally leaving.
