"Not my fault you wanted to know." The dryad's voice became serious "You asked, and it's what you are."

"Dryad, tell me something..." Zakai said to the mark on his back "Why do you protect something as evil as elfes?"

Cold laughing was heard from his back and he felt silent

"Elfes are the evil ones now? I watched them get slaughtered, elf blood belonging to children and adults stained on my tree never to wash up, and YOU HAVE THE AUDACITY TO CALL THEM EVIL ONES?" The dryad's voice raised and was higher than ever "The humans came with magic tools to harvest the power of the elves, before killing them one by one, the noble family of the clover kingdom and nothing more than frauds with magic that doesn't belong to them."

Zakai was silent before his memory jumped towards a man he thought about

"Was there ever an elf, with blonde hair and purple eyes?" Zakai asked the dryad

"Yes. his name was vetto." The dryad said, "One of the kindest men I've ever met. he was an uncle to a small elf community and loved by all, even the harshest of animals."

"Vetto?" Zakai thought, his expression dodging to the man he thought about when solid and nembra was harassing Noelle

"When did they die?"

"......" The dryad was silent "That's enough."

the mark on his back deactivated, but the dryad's screaming remained in Zakai's head

the wolf that was next to him came and whimpered to him, trying to give him the most hope a dog could

Zakai was unsure if he wanted to go back to the place where his ancestors were apparently murdered in cold blood

"Dryad."

"Do I have any siblings?"

"She's older than you." The dryad said

"How is that supposed to work?" Zakai asked with a snicker

Zakai started shouting

"WHY DOES EVERYONE GIVE ME A MYSTIC ANSWER THEN FUCK OFF! I WANT THE TRUTH!"

The dryad was silent before the mark became deactivated.

His wolf which he named Fenrir due to the spells he gained in his grimoire came out and tried to comfort him, which made him calm down

feeling something rumble in his pocket, Zakai quickly put his hands in his pocket and digging something out it was the token Zakai was given by Veronica. it was rumbling, almost like a cry out help

"Did anything happen?" Zakai wondered, opening several portals to the capital

"Shit..." Zakai muttered, looking at the capital that was swarmed by Diamond kingdom army members

"What happened?" Zakai muttered, before scanning the capital for veronica's mana signal

he found it, she was fighting with 5 of the diamond kingdom grunts, who seemed to be ready to kill her

Zakai opened a portal and looked towards the 5, face to face

"Thank god, it worked..."Veronica muttered, before collapsing, a large stab wound displayed on her chest

"Spatial mage!" One of the mages cried out, causing more diamond kingdom troops to storm in

Zakai cracked his knuckles, remembering he had something to test

"Fenrir!"

the dog ran into his grimoire, with him chanting

Zakai could feel his mana reserves grow as he became one with Fenrir. a blood sword was made

the blood sword had the properties of consuming the blood of those its kills and growing stronger and bigger. it can also siphon the life force of mana it kills, making it easier for him to restore both

Spirit drive also makes a crown made out of blood on Zakai's head, which amplifies his power

a bolt of lightning was displayed, and the heads of all 10 members of the diamond kingdom rolled off their heads

Fenrir turned back into a dog and consumed the body, while Zakai went and tended to Veronica's wounds

there was a large stab wound and a slash wound

Zakai got a sword from creation magic and cut a small bit out of her chest clothing, revealing the slash wound

"[Blessed Gem magic]" Zakai muttered, causing a large amount of pristine water to flow out and into the wound as Zakai watched it heal at rapid speed

Zakai watched as Veronica gained conscious as she looked around the street and watched Zakai consume grimoires

"Your awake?" Zakai asked, looking back

Veronica looked down at the place her former wound was and sighed

"You didn't do anything to me, did you?"

"No."

Veronica nodded

"What is going on?"

"It's a full invasion by the Diamond kingdom" Veronica muttered "Come on, we got some people to kill."

She summoned Nomu, who ran to Zakai and requested head pats, of which Zakai easily replied with some

Fenrir came out of the grimoire, feeling a bit jealous that his master was giving head pats to another animal

"SOO CUTE!" Veronica threw away her war face and jumped to Fenrir, stroking his fur of which Nomu became jealous

with a sigh, Zakai said, "Come on, we need to go provide support."

while running, Zakai looked at the 2 magics he got from consuming the grimoires. most of them had wind magic and water

and boy, there were weird magic

Flora magic , not to be confused with plant magic , is magic where the user can create elixirs from flowers with different effects, and it's not a fighting type magic, even when its support is strong

Fruit magic could create fruits with various effects, such as Power coconut which could let the user have a higher mana amount for 5 seconds and Clarity plums that could clear the consumer from mental mind control and defects

although weird magic, it seemed like they used compound magic to make a good support team

"Brothers maybe?" Zakai wondered, not caring

Zakai ran with Veronica, before locating an old man riding a snail made of mucus magic

"Distaugang!" Veronica squealed

The old man was Yagos, one of the 8 shining generals of the diamond kingdom

slowly approaching, Zakai asked

"Do you have enough mana ?"

"Im ok," Veronica said

Yagos had seen both of us and gave a dry smile

"Fresh meat, and a pretty lady!" He gave a loud ear wrecking laugh

tentacles shot out, causing Zakai to summon a scythe and throw it to Veronica

"The scythe adjusts to your height," Zakai said

if he gives permission, other people can use his weapons

the scythe shrunk down from "10 to around 6" but still didn't lose its shine

Veronica didn't know how to use the scythe, but she kept swiping the tentacles away while Zakai shot Paper blade at Yagos, who summoned more Mucus to block the paper

Zakai created a bomb, lit the fuse and sent it into the snail and watched it explode

the snail was still intact, causing Zakai to frown

"That didn't work." Zakai thought

"It's impossible" Yagos laughed in scorn before looking at veronica and laughing "What a lovely little lady.." He licked his lips

"Veronica" Zakai shouted, causing Veronica to throw the scythe over

Zakai swiped the scythe 5 times, causing the "Spacial mines" he can make with them

now he waited for the snail to come closer, before detonating them, watching as they cut through space, creating suction and absorbing the Snail, causing it to scream as it was absorbed. the cuts in space were deactivated as veronica watched Yagos fall and screamed

"Nomu!"

Veronica's shadow burst and kept the man in mid-air, causing Zakai to approach the man in mid-air

"Should we kill them?" Veronica said

"Yes, Im sure a motive has being made, one less general means one less powerful tool for the diamond kingdom," Zakai said,
