"Corrupt magic." Zakai thought, something on the lines of that

people were deployed to combat the monsters, so that wasn't his main concern

sensing a battle up ahead, Zakai flew to it, seeing asta and leopard fighting a man with countless different monsters of patches and string

flying down, Zakai asked

"What's going on?"

Asta was blasted by balls of purple energy, obviously curse magic, which he defectled and absorbed with the sword from the dungeon

"Overpowered." Zakai smiled, before looking over to Leopold, who was fighting with a beast that used muddy water magic, magic used to slow down the opponent

a man was in a corner, with a hostage as he mentally tortured her

"Ah , my rival!" Leopold said, blocking and dodging the blows off the large monster "Go help asta, I'm fine!"

"Are you sure you're fine, you look like your doing worse than asta?" Zakai laughed at the boy who was getting suppressed. after all, water magic isn't a good match for fire magic, that's basic.

Zakai intensified his look onto the man with the girl

the man was of average height with long, messy, light purple hair and a blue eye. He was wearing dark red bandages that cover his forehead and left eye with a light green eye ornament on top of the latter. Similar bandages are also tightly wrapped around his neck with the tattered end dangles in front of him

A spatial portal appeared underneath the girl he was keeping hostage and appeared behind Zakai, who looked towards Noelle, that just watched up "Protect her."

Zakai drew his scythe, looking at the man

"Why do you do these things?"

he needs a motive

the man gave a maniacal laugh

"Quite an interesting magic you've got there," Zakai said , looking at the man that had stopped laughing the moment he said that

"Interesting my ass! I got banished for it! I was seen as corrupt even when I wanted to help the clover kingdom!" He laughed once again, a hysterical rage to give himself some pity "I only wanted to help! and now that's where it got me! the clover citizens must pay!"

Zakai listened, before saying "I hope you will find happiness in the afterlife."

he was a terrorist, nothing more nothing less. Zakai was sympathetic towards his story , but he has already killed 1000 people with his magic

you cant forgive a murderer for murdering even if he has a sob story, and the clover kingdom did, most of the criminals would be on the street doing the same shit

"Interesting" Zakai thought, retreating

A corpse appeared, crackling with electricity

"Attack!"

the corpse used lightning magic to shoot towards me at a speed only lightning magic could match. quick and destructive, it what made lightning magic hard to counter

that is unless you have a dozen kinds of magic

Zakai swerved his scythe and moved it in a circle, ensuring that the corpse couldn't get close

"[Blessed gem magic: Power gem]"

a range of Amethsyts appeared in the sky, following Zakai's every command

shooting them at the corpse, Zakai came up with a plan

as expected, due to the speed, he couldn't hit anything, causing him to give a smile

"I haven't used this magic for a long time." Zakai's eye fell upon the corpse

"[Tracking magic: Temporary track]"

the movements of the monster were tracked and could be predicted in his brain, causing Zakai to shoot the remaining powerful gems at the location he predicted

he wasn't a god, so most of them didn't hit but some managed to land solid blows

"What is this feeling?" The man laughed once more. watching his creation sustain damage

"[Paper magic: the blades of the demon]"

Mana enforced paper shot out, one managing to cut through the torso, killing the corpse

"Alfred!"

Zakai went up to it at a walking pace and made his grimoire absorb the magic energy that was leaking out of the corpse of the monster

The man couldn't stop laughing, causing Zakai to look at his grimoire

Zakai managed to magic out of it, so it was useful. The conditions for getting the magic needed to be examined

Zakai bent down, almost like he was about to run in a sprint

"[Demonic thunderclap]"

A strand of lightning shot out as Zakai teleported, 0nly appearing as the barrier magic corpses fell

"The power." Zakai thought. although the power was strong, the mana consumption was large

"Carl!" The man screamed

Zakai was about to kill the man , when a figure suddenly appeared before him

"Fuegelon!" Zakai said , causing the man to look back

"Hold, we need him alive for interrogation" He said , looking at the man "What was your motive?"

the man started laughing again while Zakai went and absorbed the corpses magic

the muddy water magic was absorbed and fused with the rock armor , while the curse magic stood alone

"What a useful magic" Zakai thought , getting 2 spells out of it

Demons curse seemed to be that with a sacrifice of his mana pool 3x over , he can curse someone else with minor alliments like there mana pool to be reduced by so much and to be never to be pretty again. pretty useful , but still

the man stopped laughing , looking towards a necklace the captain had

Felt a thread of mana , and he screamed

"Captain!" Zakai screamed "[Lightning magic : Thunderclap]"

He rushed to the person hidden in the corpses on the left side , but there too many

Seeing a portal erupt from beneath Fugeleon , Zakai tried to rush and tackle him , but he dissepeared before he could reach him

"Fugeleon!" Zakai screamed , watching the man disspear

"Brother!" Leopard shouted , looking towards the man "What did you do?"

"YOU IDIOTS." The man laughed "you really think you can talk down on me and not get punished for it?"

making a scythe , Zakai cut through the bodies , seeing a man pop up and run away

"How distugang , i have to put this disguise on to hide my mana" He peeled away a mask that made him look like a corpse

Zakai didn't answer , only looking at the two men

"You will die." Zakai said , looking at the two

"Oh , and who decides tha-"

A chunk of flesh was ripped out

"Me."

The space mage teleported to a high point

"Rades , I'm not saving you."

"I don't need saving , you bastard!" The man screamed "[Soul corpse magic : No.0 - Michael Caesar]"

a man with a mask came out , magical energy swarmed

Zakai decided to something special to kill this guys best monster to return the favour for fugeleon

a arrow that consisted of a fire arrow , a wind arrow and a lightning arrow was produced as he merged them together with mana , resulting a large rainbow arrow to be produced

"Michael , dodge it!" Rades screamed , causing Michael to hurry out of the way

"Idiot." Zakai said , twisting the aim of the arrow towards the spacial mage that was on the building

"Impossibl-"

the arrow that was shot on his bow peirced through the sky partly due to the lightning magic , causing it to reach the man in a second

the moment the arrow hit , screams of pure agony could be heard as the man was burned , eletructuted and frozen

Zakai clasped his knuckle , causing the arrow to kill the spacial mage that was hit by the arrow

"Valtos!" Rades screamed

Zakai stumbled about , lacking mana due to the contact thunderclaps and that move

Worth it , you fucker." Zakai muttered , before losing conscious

but before blacking out , he could see Fugeleon's body fall out of a portal , half dead
