Opponents

The next one month was going to be a very tough one for krystal Fc. one of the toughest matches they were going to play in the entire tournament happened to be in the group stage, worse more, it was their first match ofthe group stage.

The had a total of three matches to play in a month. it was arranged that all the teams that were in a group would play one home match, one away match, and the last match was going to be in location that was neither your home nor your opponents home.

The first match was against marbles, and that wasn't such a good news. Neo did a quick study of the teams that were in his group, they weren't so strong. The only real opponents they had there was Marbles, with that being said, even if they lost to marbles, they just had to beat the other two for a sure qualification. After all, it was obvious that marbles was going to beat the other teams easily.

After looking at the teams in his group, he turned to look at the teams in the tournament. From his research, he could see that only about six teams in total would prove to be a very tough match.

And these teams were; Marbles, mavericks, Imelda, Galaxy stars, heroes and brookside. Neo didn't bother to check on Marbles and Mavericks, as those two teams were already familiar. Imelda was particularly scary because of their high attack and quick tempo. Their ability to change the speed of the game with their high and overly accurate passes, made them annoying opponents. They go even more annoying when they had their superstar midfielder, Tyson Creed

Tyson was dominated the midfield with overly quick and long passes, his passes always came with a touch of extra speed and they usually carried a backspin, that was his trademark pass.

It was a well proven fact that at the end of every fifth backspin pass that Tyson performed in a match, there was surely going to be a goal.

Neo couldn't help but feel a little goose bumps suddenly spreadout on his skin. He chuckled silently to himself as he scrolled on to the next team.

And the next team was Galaxy Stars. Galaxy stars was the team that harbored the superhuman striker, Destiny Xavi. Galaxy was the infamous team that ended the unbeaten era of the soccer bloodline. The match had been a very tough one and it ended with six goals to five, Galaxy just managing to take the lead at the last minute. It was very ironical that The soccer bloodline, who had never conceded a single goal conceded in their last match, and when they did, they conceded six whole goals in one match. The boy that scored the winning goal for Galaxy was Patrick Xavi, Destiny Xavi's elder brother.

Destiny had proven to be even more monstrous than his brother, he hada record of only ever missing two goal chances, and that was in middle school. Funny enough, the two goal chances he had ever missed were both missed in the same match, and it was the hand of god that stopped him, his two ever misses were both against Harry, the crazy Gk of the marbles team.

The next team was heroes. heroes was a team that consisted of many average Joes, they didn't have any outstanding talent, rather their players all made a swap of talent for brains. The chemistry and synergy that the team showed was something that could only be achieved when a team had played together for a hundred years. But stunningly, these little team of teenagers was able to do it within two years.

The last was Brookside, and honestly, for Neo, this wa the team that he feared the most. Brookside was a team that managed to secure a member of the soccer's bloodline. Not only had they secured a member, they even secured their best member. This was none other than Adam Paige. All the members of soccer's bloodline had graduated, but Adam was left behind. He was too dumb to pass his exams, as a result, he had been in his senior final year for about two years. Feeling very disatisfied with the new set of players that replaced his old teamates in Marbles, Adam decided to transfer to another school and join their soccer team there.

Since his arrival in the school two years ago, Brookside had won the soccer wars championship a total of two times. They had beaten marbles once in the finals, and again in the semi-finals, that was last year. That same year, they beat Galaxy stars in the finals to lift the cup for the second time in two years. Despite helping the team to win, he couldn't go for the trials in Uk which he so desprately wished to go for, because he hadn't yet graduated. He was too dumb, so he was stuck in high school.

Adam Paige had changed that though. This year, he ha put in extra efforts and he barely managed to pass the exams. He had cleared one hurdle an all that remained was winning the championship. Neo sighed. The boy's story was almost a sad one, but all that was really left for Adam was the new and better Krystal Fc.

Krystal Fc assembled in the school by 9'O' clock AM. Fortunately for them, their first match was in their home.

When Neo got to school, the field was already crowded and everywhere had a hapy energy and a sweet vibes that went through the air. Neo sighed, he wished Charlotte was here, even if it was for the last time, he would love to tell her the rhapsody of his heart.

But their opponent had not yet arrived, so Neo decided to do a last minute training, warm-up, sort of.

Neo was now a bit steady with Duplicity, at least with the help of the balance he earned with Flash steps, he was fairly profficient with the skill.

Shortly after, Marbles Team arrived. it was an exciting sight to behold as the players walked into the pitch.
