The 5 stars academy.

The year was 13498 E.C. the birth of Wind God Huracan set off a chain reaction through all of Verdant continent. Feeling the potential threat that this new addition could cause to the already chaotic picture, forced all of the five races to stop their wars, in an unprecedent display, all the leaders of the different kingdoms from all the races reunited in neutral grounds under the 3 way mountain range, in the city of Merci. There, the first ever cease of hostility treaty was jointly signed by all of the attendees, bringing an end to the long lasting conflict of almost a 1000 years.

In the same fashion, to prevent future conflicts that could potentialy scalate into all out wars that threatens the new peace among all races, it was decided to stablish the great academy of magic, for all the talented members for all the races coming from every corner of verdant, in there they could learn from the best mages of all the continent, allowing them to interact and compete with each other, further improving the relations amongst the 5 power.

The academy was eventually know as the 5 stars Academy, becoming the pillar of support for the new alliance betweend the 5 races.

This dracmstic change, of course, wasn't motivated by a sudden change of heart coming from the leaders of the 5 races. Something like "turning a new page and start from zero" after being in the leading position of their own factions for so many years, and having fought in so many wars, experiencing the cruelty and the amount of death of the battlefield, all to end up eventually growing numb from it. Kindness, pity and empathy, are emotions that they as leadership figures have learnt to dispose of, instead, using pure cold, and calculated logic, by weighting the pros and cons of a move, they see life and death as numbers, a mere statistic.

But of course, not all individuals, no matter how composed and calm, can avoid their own irrational fear of the things they cannot comprehend, when presented with the unknown, the most primal instict of survival within the hearts of creatures will naturally blossom.

Initially the war among the five races was reaching a stalemate, and all the powers involved could barely mantain a semblance of equilibrium as they supressed one another. But all of it changed with Huracan's appearance, like a sudden flash of lightning, completely unpredictable, adding new variables to the already messy equation.

The new God of Wind, was like a cold bucket of water, pouring over the hearts of the learders of the five powers, ruining their plans. Now that an unstable factor of unknown power and purpose was mixed in, the foreseable future of the continent in the next years became difficult to grasp.

What really alarmed the 5 power though, was the descriptions of the physical appearance of this new God. When hearing the reports coming from the mouths of those who've withnessed the ascension of Huracan, described his as an elf, meaning, now elves who have remained supressed by the jointly might of all the other races since the fall of Lefheim almost 1000 years ago, had gained a powerful backing.

With the inevitable rise of the elves in the horizon, thanks to Huracan, the five powers weren't going to allow the creation of a second Lefheim and repeat the history of their ancestors by becoming slaves once more.

The survivors elves from the former empire had remained uninvolved in the affairs of the continent for almost 1 millenia, only thanks to being supressed by the 5 races, this was because, in their plans for the domination of the continent, elves, with their advanced magic knowledge and deep heritage, still represented a threat. The only reason the elves were never exterminated was because the 5 powers allowed their existence as a mean of leverage betweend themselvesq, so as to none of them grow to be more powerful than the others.

The remaining elves were very well aware of how their existence was a delicate matter, and they have made use of the wariness that each of the other races felt towards one another to mantain their livehood.

Given their long lifespans(1000-1500) many of the current older generation of the elves, were once proud citizens of the empire, having experienced a life of privilege and power, only for it to be taken all away by the hands of the inferior beings they once lorded over, this was a pretty huge grudge to live with, and although the new younger generations grew up un a world vastly different from that of their parents, having learned of their former glory as masters of verdant had ingrained a deep sense of superiority and scorn towards the other races in the hearts of elves.

This complex game, were the 5 powers nade use of their political influence and their military might to constraint each other through the last 9 centuries is waht has shaped the history of verdant, the potential of an individual being restricted by their talent and magic powers was a thing of the past elven empire, or so everyone thought.

Huracan's ascension reignited the hopes within mortals, for the divine was no longer an unattainable dream, now it was a race against time, and it's all vs all, for now every mage is a rival.

With the looming threats of the elven kingdoms and the Holy Empire, the creation of the Magic Academy(5 stars academy) tye continent of Verdant entered a new golden era for magic.

The fall of Lefheim's empire marked the end of an era that lasted 13 millenia. As a recognition of the changes going through the continent, the 5 powers, in the year 13500 E.C declared officially the end of the elven calendar, and thus at the same time, announced the creation of a brand new calendar, which was going to enter into use in the first day of the next year.

So in the 31th of the 12th month of the year 13500 E.C was the last time the elven calendar was ever used, and from that day onwards, the 5 stars calendar was put into use or S.C for short.

The 1st day of january of the year 1 S.C. The 5 stars academy officially opened its doors thus marking the begining of a new era for magic and the rise of new Gods.
