Chapter 5

Looking at the pale green panel and seeing what I got as a reward for escaping let's just say I'm intrigued. (What the hell does sticky pads do and why is it fully leveled up?) I thought and wanting to try it out I slap my hand down on the tree next to me. After a while of nothing happing, I try pulling my hand only to have it stick to the tree.

I started to pull harder but all I got was pieces of bark stuck to my hand. I decided that if I concentrate hard enough then I could unstick my hand. After trying for 5 minutes, it finally unstuck the bark from my hand. While I was contemplating on how to use this power in the future, I felt my connection to the soldiers that I left behind to cover my escape sever which means that they have been killed.

I need to go in deeper and build a home or at least something to call home. I also need something to use to replenish my numbers. As I walk deeper and deeper into this forest hoping for something to show. It was when I thought I was deep enough that I noticed something strange.

There were no animals like it was empty of all life in these woods. I noticed some huge spider webs in the trees with things that have been cocooned. It was then I heard a type of hissing noise above me. When I craned my neck up, I saw a huge brown furred spider with four big sharp legs. Reacting quickly, I throw my body to the left dodging the very sticky looking web heading to where I just was.

Getting back up I ran to hide behind a tree as the big arachnid decides to go for much easier prey namely my three creations. Waiting for it to turn around I think about how I am going to kill it. As I am thinking I hear a crunch and when I turn to look, I see a fur covered leg going through a head of one of my soldiers.

Taking this opportunity to strike while it is distracted. I active {Bone claws} and dart forward to plunge my claws into its abdomen. "SCREEEEE" hearing the screech of pain, I take a bit of pleasure in knowing it was hurt by that. My two remaining soldiers seeing me land a blow they also take swipes at it.

One of them cuts a leg clean off while the other stabs the arachnids head with its claws. Seeing that the spider is dead I stab my tongue into the stab wound in the abdomen. As I am sucking the nutrients from the spider's body it would appear that I forgot that it might be poisonous.

I start to feel a pain in my tongue but remembering that I have {Poison immunity} and I would be just fine I go back to sucking. Now that I am stocked up and ready to use {Biological Soldiers} I order my two remaining soldiers to guard me and start to active it. As I'm using {Biological Soldiers} and having my back grow heavy I get a quest notification.

[< Quest Received! >

Title: A place to call home!

Description: Make a shelter.

Timer: 3:60:60

Rewards: one random reward will be selected upon completion

1. Random skill

2. Uncommon item

3. +3 to two random stats

Failure: You sit out in the rain]

Seeing this and remembering the sharp legs of the spider I order my children to cut them off and start to cut down branches. While I sent four off to do that I and the remaining three got to work on making a clear spot to build a shelter. I also saw the webs and thought to use them to keep the shelter to gather. After about an hour and a half we were done.

It looked stable enough to sleep in we also had enough time to build smaller one for the others. The big one had enough room five of us while the other could hold three, so no one had to sleep in the rain.

[Mission: Completed

Reward: Uncommon spear]

Seeing what I got a spear magically materialized in front of me which I grabbed. The blade was sharp but did not look like it could pierce iron. The pole of it was a dark metal of a color and seeing that it was not that heavy. I felt extremely excited about my first weapon but then a problem arose.

I did not know how to use a spear hell I don't even know how to use any weapon for that matter, but I will figure it out eventually. Though I don't know it, but it would be my home for the next nine years. In those nine years I will learn more about myself and have some amazing battles for survival along the way.

Creation is hard, cheer me up!
