A couple of soldiers wearing an odd kind of armor made of flat sheets of metal attached together by a bunch of stings stepped forward. They unsheathed their sword and attempted to use it to split the projectile I shot their way.
Then time stopped, and I refused to either waste a coin or cancel the damage done to acquire a new token. I watched as the flaming spears exploded, sending small fragments all over the army, and then proceeded to freeze anyone unfortunate enough to stand near the many scattered fragments.
"That trick isn't going to work more than once, you know?" I warned Forren.
"Once is all we need; we need to get as much of their attention as possible so that they won't interfere as much in Diego's battle. We need all the attention on us, but be careful; this one doesn't seem like an army that's made out of weaklings." He warned, and as he began to head towards the army, I decided to go along with him.
