Starting school and dealing with issues

Beep! Beep! Beep! Beep! Crash!

I stirred as someone else rolled over, then popped up. I checked my phone, and my eyes widened.

/"Shit!/" I said, running out of bed.

Maverick sat up and rubbed his eyes.

/"What’s going on?/"

/"We’re late!/"

He glanced at his phone. His eyes widened as he scrambled out of bed. We raced around, getting dressed before flying out of my room and almost crashing into Lex.

/"Sorry, Lex!/"

We took off for class.

There’s nothing like being late on the first day of class. Our professors didn’t find it funny or cute when we interrupted our classes. It’s excellent that we only had two classes today. Note to self, never let Maverick sleep next to the alarm clock.

After my second class, I met Maverick. He came walking out, and I kissed him as he took my hand.
