/"So, I take it you’ve been to jail a few times?/" I asked Nixon.

/"A few? Pft, try about a dozen./" He laughed.

I did a double-take.

/"Let me give you a piece of advice. When you get involved with a Gray, two things happen. One, you end up in jail. Two, there’s always an issue with your significant other and yourself. Three, you deal with Grammy./"

/"That is reassuring./"

/"Well, we’re Grays. What do you expect?/" Nixon shrugged.

Then we saw a cop walk into the back, along with a guy.

/"Hey, Dad./" Nixon waved.

/"Don’t hi Dad me,/" he said.

/"Would Daddy-O be better?/"

/"No./"

/"Tough crowd./" He shrugged.

The officer opened the cell door. We sat there as Nate walked into the cell.

/"Now explain to me how you two ended up together here,/" Nate said.
