Lyric

Homecoming was coming up, and we all went shopping. I wanted to find something beautiful to wear. During our excursion, I found an ice blue knee-length dress to wear, along with matching shoes. I also had to wear a smaller size because I still wasn’t back to my healthy weight. Jordan said it would take time.

I stood in front of the mirror and sighed.

/"What’s wrong?/" Larkin asked.

/"I’m afraid Michael will find me unattractive because I lost so much weight./"

/"Lyric, Michael doesn’t care about your appearance. He cares about you. If he didn’t, he wouldn’t have had Maverick call Jordan about you./"

/"I know, but I wanted him to be proud of me./"

/"He is,/" Mia said.

I turned to her.

/"Michael is so proud of you, Lyric. He doesn’t care about your appearance. Michael cares about you. When you were in the hospital, all he thought about was you,/" Mia said.
