Fleeing the Evil Troll 1

Tumbling down the side, Mors closed his eyes as he found himself rolling into some stiff full bushes. Feeling the branches snap beneath him as his body dove into the bushes before coming to a stop. Pain flared around his body as the injuries registered themselves to his old battered brain.

Opening his eyes and trying to ignore the new bruises he had obtained, he listened and heard the thumping of the monster's steps. It seemed to get faster and faster before a scream rang out into the air, followed by a loud thud that shook the very ground itself. No more screams were heard, but mild chewing noises permeated the air as the hill troll ate… something.

Noticing that he couldn't see anything noteworthy, Mors decided that it would be best to move to get away. But before he could move, he heard a swift wind breeze before he felt something enter inside of him again. Confusion and curiosity at whatever was entering and exiting him again rained over his mind.

But as he lay there confused, he heard Genn's voice explaining, "Mors, you are going to have to listen to me. You need to survive for about 27 minutes. That is about the time it will take for the reinforcements to arrive. That last flare was a location updating flare. I am currently getting some help, but sit still for now."

Sitting up to a more comfortable position, Mors decided to listen for anything new, and before long, he felt a lot of things leaving his body. What looked like five wind blades swiftly exited the bush heading in five different directions. Seeing that was most likely his five ghostly friends, Mors decided to listen to Genn and check on his condition.

Looking around his body, he found himself without many scratches at all. Only a few pokes from some sticks and the initial fall hurt him. But as he checked himself, he noticed that his bag was missing from his side. That bag was super important since it held all of his coins and a few of his own memorabilia.

Poking his head out of the bush, he quickly located the bag a short distance up. It seemed to have fallen off from the initial push as it was up near the top of the path. Deciding that it would be fine, Mors quickly crawled out of his bush up the trail. But the sight that greeted him was a nasty one after obtaining his bag.

In the distance, he found the troll crawling over a giant blood-covered gravel area, stuffing the blood-covered gravel into its mouth swiftly. Watching for a bit, Mors decided that it was a bit too gross for him as he slid back down the hill to his lovely bush, where he found someone already in it. Looking at him with a mildly annoyed expression.

Exasperated, Genn looked at Mors as he spoke, "Old man, Why did you have to go back up? The monster might have seen you."

Mors deciding to switch topics so he could keep some of his dignity, quietly asked, "Never mind that. Are monsters always like that? I always thought they were much… weaker? Is that the right word?"

Sighing, Genn exclaimed, "Yes, they are pretty strong. Now move with me. It might have smelled you after coming up."

With his vibrant red hair, Genn lead the way out of the bush, diving deeper into the forest. As the progressed, it quickly became darker and darker as the tall thin trees started to block out more and more of the moonlight. Swiftly progressing, Mors heard the hill troll begin to move again as it stopped chomping on the gravel.

Thinking to himself, 'Seems like Genn was right,' they moved into a new thicker bush. Looking around his new bush, Mors felt a wind blade enter him before exiting him as a visible reddish-purple blob. Sticking his head out of the bush, he found that purple blob towards a large green tree.

Feeling the wind cross his face, Mors began to hear something strange in the distance. Like a mix of a snore and a pig's snort as Mors heard more thumps. Looking over to the right, Mors found a large mass moving toward his side of the trail.

Realizing that the monster had caught the smell of Mors, Genn quickly looked at explained, "Ok, Mors. Remember when I said you were going to have to listen to whatever I say. Listen carefully. See that bush across the way…."

Popping their heads out of the bushes, found that across a short sprint, there was another bush. But it would take at least a few seconds to reach the others side. But Mors wasn't really worried until Genn continued, "... You need to get there as quickly as you can."

Diving his head back into the bushes, Mors quietly screamed, "But the troll will totally see me… I would usually follow you… but, like, what are we going to do if it sees us."

Sighing, Genn responded, "Just listen to what I said. This is the best strategy since it will eventually reach you since it has already caught your scent. Now go!"

Feeling the adrenaline rush starting to bloom, Mors peeped his head out to prepare himself to run. But, to his surprise, his head was met by the pressure of a demonic gaze. Turning to his right, Mors found a terrifying scene as a darkened face was looking at him. With demonic purple skin and a darkened wide smile, the troll looked like it was a child that found a new shiny toy.

While they were staring at each other, the troll began to move its body down into a runner pose. Realizing that it was preparing to run, Mors immediately sprinted forward with all of his strength. As he pushed his very existence to run faster, he heard a great *thump* *thump-thump* *THUMP-THUMP* behind him that began to sound closer and closer.

Ignoring everything around him, Mors focused on the bush he had to reach. He needed to reach it. He was going to get to it. Concentrate on only reaching the bush, his body seemed to push farther than it could before. He felt lighter than before as he swiftly stepped on the ground, feeling some of his old strength returning.

Watching as the bush began to become closer and closer, he ignored the increasing thuds of the giant hill troll behind him. Sprinting through the deep emerald grass, hot blood started to flow through his veins again. Watching, sprinting, breathing, he almost felt the monster's breath breathing down his spine.

But that was for a brief moment before Mors heard a large crash behind him as he slid into his amazing new bush. Looking back behind him, He found a large mass seemingly sitting there, silently watching him. Freaking out about how close it was, Mors popped out of the short small bush to run towards the trail. Mors needed to get away from that evil being so close to him.

But before he could even be halfway to the trail, a red blob appeared in front of him before transforming into Genn again. Standing before the sacred Mors, and tried his best to calm him down, "Don't worry. CALM DOWN. Look again at the troll."

Trying to listen, Mors felt his blood boil even more, but he tried to put a lid on it for a moment before looking back. Looking at the scene again, he found a tree with a nasty indentation with an ugly face on it. Coming out of the ugly print, deep green sap started to pour out in a quick stream onto another large mass.

Looking at the vast mass of something, he found it covered by the same sap. Mors couldn't ultimately make out what it was in the darkness; maybe a large boulder… but he would have hit it since it was in his direct path. Becoming confused, he walked closer to the mass of something to get a better look.

As he stepped closer, he found the mass moving under the darkness of night. Eventually, he gasped because it was the troll knocked out and covered in that weird green sap. Shocked, Mors asked, "What are we going to do now? Like, can we just leave, or can we slay this beast?"

Looking at the troll for a second, Genn responded, "You should hide first since the monster will probably get up soon. Also, even though your body has awoken somehow, you are nowhere near strong enough to even puncture the troll's skin. Now head towards the path and run to the other side."

Whenever he heard you should hide, Mors was already moving. But the awoken bit stumbled him for a moment, but he decided to first hide before the monster got up.

Apperently... I am bad at scheduling... I will release when I can... Sorry!

Have a wonderful day!
