Chapter 17 Time Doesn't Wait For you

The sound of the sea breeze awakened Santichai. He opened his eyes slowly, only to feel a slight pain in the eyelid. He found himself sleeping on his stomach. He opened his eyes completely, staring at the white door a few feet away from where he slept. He tilted his head to the left, and saw the white curtains fluttering in the wind, and the sound of the waves crashing on the shore was clearly identifiable.

Santichai sat up and found that his buttocks were a little sore, but not painful. He was always afraid of having sex because every time he had sex with Asnee it was so painful and sometimes, he had to wake up in the middle of the night and take a hot bath to get rid of some of the pain. Sitting on the bed for a moment, he tried to process all the moments of last night, and he realized that last night's person was KK.

Santichai's face became extremely hot, and his cheeks burned from embarrassment. He was so emotionally hurt last night, his thoughts were unclear, and he didn't care who he went home with, so there were gaps in the wall he built around him over the years.

Santichai murmured, "Mr. KK, how am I going to face you now...what have I done?" He heard footsteps walking towards the door. Before he was ready to face KK, he lay back on the bed and closed his eyes.

KK walked into the bedroom and saw that Santichai was still sleeping. He walked to the screen door and slowly closed it. He picked up the controller and lowered the blinds. He walked over to the bed and kissed Santichai on the forehead.

KK said softly, "Have a good dream." He walked out of the room.

After KK left the room, Santichai didn't know what to think. He lay there for at least an hour or two before finally deciding to get up. He found his clothes neatly submerged on the bed. He gets dressed. Walked out of the room and walked into the living room to face KK but did not see KK. He went to the kitchen and found a plate of food on the table covered with a note. KK wrote 'eat before you go'.

Santichai sighed and murmured, "Mr. KK... why did you treat me so well?"

Santichai did not the eat food. When he came out of the house and looked back to see if the door was locked, it seemed to be automatic. He walked into the busy street and found a taxi. It took twenty minutes to get from KK's house to his house.

After paying the taxi fare, his phone rang. He picked it up, it was Fon. He answered, "Pi Fon."

Fon said, "Santichai, ah... Are you feeling better?"

Santichai took a big breath and blew out all the negative emotions in his lungs. "I feel better," he said.

Fon hesitated for a moment and said, "Then... do you think you can work today?" She paused for a few seconds. "But if you're not feeling well, that's okay."

Santichai asked, "What happened?"

Fon said, "Aisoon's mother is hospitalized. This time is real. She fell and hit her head."

Santichai said, "Okay, depending on the traffic situation, I'll be there in half an hour."

Fon said, "Thank you, but hurry up because time don't wait for you."

KK and his parents arrived at Star Hotel at the same time, Mr. and Mrs. MeeChai went to the front door to greet KK and Mr. and Mrs. Suwannarat. Mr. and Mrs. Meechai brought KK and his parents to the private booth at the back of the hotel. When they got there, Dussadi and Laddawan were already seated at the table.

Mrs. MeeChai smiled and said, "Klaew Kla, you've grown up. The last time I saw you was when you graduated from Oxford University. I haven't seen you since that day."

KK said, "Nice to see you again, auntie and uncle."

The back of the hotel had an excellent sea view. From a moment, KK thought that Santichai might like it here. They sat around the table where Laddawan and Dussadi had already sat. Dussadi worked hard to be KK's matchmaker to switch seats so he could sit next to Laddawan.

The conversation between the people sitting at the table is just about business profitability and expansion. KK made an excuse to call Santichai.

Mr. MeeChai said, "Mr. Suwannarat, we have known each other for many years, and I would like to ask you something very personal."

Mr. Suwannarat said, "Please continue, Mr. MeeChai."

Mr. MeeChai said, "You have three sons. One is married, one is young and the other is Klaew Kla. Klaew Kla is not young anymore; he is of age to consider marriage. You think my daughter will have a chance to be your daughter-in-law?"

Dussadi said, "Uncle, you think exactly like me. I'm old friends with Lada, and I completely accept her as my sister-in-law."

Mrs. Suwannarat said, "Mr. MeeChai, I am very happy and thank you very much for your thoughtfulness, but our Klaew Kla has his own ideas. We assure him that we will not force him to get married." She smiled Look at Lada. "If Lada can win Klaew Kla's heart, then I will have no problem accepting her as my daughter-in-law."

Dussadi looked at Laddawan and said, "Don't worry, I will force my brother to marry you."

The four parents on the table laughed.

Mr. Suwannarat said, "Mr. MeeChai, my wife is right. I believe that marriage depends on two people. If we force them to marry, they may not be happy, and their marriage will not last long." He sighed. "I learned this from my second marriage to my second wife."

Mr. Meechai smiled and said, "Mr. Suwannarat, you and Mrs. Suwannarat are very open-minded. I agree with that. That being said, there will be no change in our partnership."

"Of course not, our business partnership will continue whether the two children like each other or not. Even if they end up divorced, our business partnership will not change," Mr. Suwannarat said.

Mrs. MeeChai looked at Laddawan and said, "Lada, you have heard of Mrs Suwannarat. If you want to achieve your dreams, you have to work harder. You have to hurry up and make him fall in love with you because time won't wait for you."

Laddawan's face brightened, "Ma..."

KK took out his phone and called Santichai, but it went to voicemail. Then he called the clinic and asked them to transfer his phone to the kitchenette.

Fon said, "Hello, which room are you calling from?"

KK said, "Is Santichai there?"

Fon said, "Santichai and your room number please."

KK shook his head. He said, "Mrs. Pricha, this is Doctor Suwannarat."

Fon cleared her throat, "Oh, Doctor Suwannarat, I'm so sorry. What do you want tonight?"

KK said, "Is Santichai there?"

Fon said, "Yes, he came to work today."

"I thought he was on vacation," KK said.

Fon said, "He is, but one of the workers has to leave due to a family emergency, so he's filling in."

KK said, "Thank you, Mrs. Pricha." He hung up. He looked at the table where his parents sat. He texted his stepmother that he had something at the clinic, so he left first.

When KK walked to the door, he met Mrs. Siriporn and Ratana. KK greeted, "Good afternoon, Auntie Siriporn."

Mrs. Siriporn said, "Good afternoon." She pulled Ratana forward. "Mr. Suwannarat, this is my daughter Ratana Siriporn."

KK hurriedly said, "Nice to meet you, sorry I have to leave for an emergency case." He walked out the door before Mrs. Siriporn stopped him for a conversation.

Mrs. Siriporn said, "Tana, his name is Klaew Kla Suwannarat, he is the chairman and CEO of HappyCare Clinic. He is one of the best surgeons among those his age. Also looked over there." She pointed across to the other side of the sea. "Those hotels over there."

Ratana asked, "What about those hotels over there?"

Mrs. Siriporn smiled and said, "Those hotels are his. Also, he's the biggest shareholder in his grandfather's company. I've heard that as long as he gets married before his grandfather's death, half of his grandfather's property is his. The big mall we just came from is also his."

Ratana smiled at Mrs. Siriporn, "Ma, are you telling the truth?"

Mrs. Siriporn said, "I'm telling the truth. I also heard from others that Mr. MeeChai wants his daughter to marry Mr. Suwannarat." She turned to her daughter. "Tana, you look much prettier than Mr. MeeChai's daughter Laddawan. Laddawan's only advantage is that she is a friend of Mr. Suwannarat's sister."

Ratana smiled and said, "Ma, if there is a man in my eyes, don't worry, he can't escape my palm." She smirked at Mrs. Siriporn.

Mrs. Siriporn said, "Tana, hurry up, I know time won't wait for you."
