Chapter 21

When the courtroom was packed with people and reporters, Dr. Murphy walked up to the stand, and raised her hand to silence the crowd.

A moment later, the crowd became quiet, as Murphy was turning the pages.

"Good morning Mokland," She greeted with excitement, "We are all gathered here to witness the charges of those criminals that ruined our nation for the past two weeks."

"Also," Serena added, while standing up, "The leader of the police is fired from his job due to accusations."

"Yes, also that," Murphy nodded agreeingly.

"Anyways, I would like to give a special thanks to Penelope for exposing the criminals, and putting them in jail," Murphy announced.

The crowd immediately clapped loudly, as people were congratulating me. I felt a rush of joy and pride, as the crowd continued to clap.

"Okay, okay," Murphy nervously chuckled, "As a matter of fact, Penelope will be our first witness."

I immediately stood up from my seat, as the whole crowd was watching me. I walked to the stand, and set my papers down on the table.

"Thank you Murphy," I started, "Anyways, so in the past two weeks, as you guys have heard, I took a lot of evidence of the criminals invading our home. It all started when Micheal kidnapped Murphy and Phoebe."

"Yeah, and Micheal was a jerk," Phoebe interrupted.

Murphy gave her a serious look, as I started my speech.

"Anyways," I continued, "So a week ago, I decided to set traps in my house after I found out the criminals (especially the police leader) were robbing our house. After I caught them, I called the police, and... you know what happened next."

"How did you feel when Alex was shot?" One reporter asked.

"Well, I was devastated and heartbroken, as I thought Alex wasn't going to make it," I answered honestly.

"Penelope will now display her evidence of the crime," Murphy announced, interrupting the conversation.

I placed the CD in the tape, as Murphy was turning off the lights so the crowd could see better.

After Murphy pressed play, the video began to appear, and the crowd looked horrified and disgusted.

The video depicted the criminals going inside the study room, and messing up the room just to find the money.

"Ugh, there's no money here!" I heard Queen Mendoza complain in the video.

After the video ended, people started chattering and murmuring, as the lights started to turn on.

"Well, that gave the truth away," I mumbled, as I was heading back to my seat.

"Horrifying isn't it," Murphy shrugged, "Anyways, we would like to hear what the actual criminals would like to say."

I turned around to the back of the room, and to my suprise, 5 criminals, including the vocal teacher and Queen Mendoza, were entering the courtroom.

Camera's were flashing at the criminals, as the police were leading them to the criminal stand.

"Speak!" One lawyer demanded Queen Mendoza.

"Hello, it is Queen Mendoza, and from what I saw the video was clearly edited. I asked my good lawyer, Sally Danfield, to check if it was edited, and she said that it was fake." Queen Mendoza lied.

"Liar!" Queen Mendoza snapped, "Sally Danfield was fired from Mokfield associates three years ago."

"No, she's still a lawyer somewhere else," Queen Mendoza denied.

"She was not allowed to practice law anymore, remember" Murphy reminded

Queen Mendoza immediately became silent, as she was probably thinking of some more excuses to get her and the criminals out of jail.

"From what I saw, it is clear that Queen Mendoza and her gang is accused of theft, robbery, assault, and multiple charges," Murphy analyzed.

"Who finds the criminals guilty?" Murphy asked the entire crowd.

The entire crowd screamed Guilty, as camera lights were flashing.
