Poison Frog

"What is that thing? Young Master?" Su Qing poked at Yuan Si's back as she asked him.

Yuan Si finally sat up as he said, "This is the guardian beast of the Frozen Lily, Nine tier Poison Frog."

"It's already in the ninth tier? Then, won't it be hard to take it down before we take the flower?" Su Qing fell into trouble for this after she heard the information from Yuan Si. 

"It's alright. All we need to do is just sit here and wait," Yuan Si smiled faintly as he observed the girl's troubled face.

'It's cute when she looks like that!'

 "Wait! You mean that–" Su Qing finally got the clue that Yuan Si was giving her till now.

That means, he wants to use the people over there as a bait to lure that frog out of here.

Then they will take the flower and vanish!

'This was indeed a good idea for now,especially when she was at a weak state like this. This was the best solution for them.' 

'He is indeed a considerate person,' Su Qing felt grateful to him for all this.

When Su Qing was day dreaming about Yuan Si's gentleness, the fight on the other side turned into a race of who can run away fast than the other.

"Ahh! My leg! My leg… somebody help!" Liu Hong started to scream in panic and pain that came from his legs.

"Shit! That idiot made this beast angry! Run!" Dan Yuan also saw the situation and started to retreat without any second thought. 

Jin Mei couldn't fight with this beast because of his lower cultivation level, but he can make others turn into its food, right?

He jumped away from the pond and stood far away from the shore, with the same idea as Yuan Si in mind.

Liu Hong was hanging in the air upside down by the Poison frog's tongue before he was thrown in the tree branches five meters away from the pond. 

Ribbit! Ribbit!

The Poison frog started to make loud noise as it came out of the pond and started to attack everyone at once.

It was really giant to be true, Su Qing felt disgusted when she thought of the frogs she used in the lab before.

The skin of frogs are so rough, she didn't even wish to touch this one!

Yuan Si seemed to get what she was thinking, so he explained to her again, "Don't even think about touching this beast with your bare hand. The skin of this poisonous frog is also poisonous."

"The entire body of this beast is poisonous, the guy that got attacked by it at first, I'm afraid he will turn into a cripple very soon." he said it without any emotion as if he didn't have anything to do with this world. 

Anyway, Su Qing wasn't planning to touch it either. So she only nodded her head to show him that she understood the matter.

The frog made all of them run away with it chasing after them, Su Qing and Yuan Si also came down from the tree.

"You can go collect the flower, I'll wait for you in the shore," Yuan Si said as he sat down on a tree root.

"Is there something more in the pond?" Su Qing asked him cautiously. 

"Nothing for now, if you don't wish to introduce yourself with that beast, then that's it," Yuan Si replied with a lazy voice as he closed his eyes again.

'Hmph! Such a petty guy!' Su Qing ditched this lazy tiger in her mind as she put down the bag from her back and prepared to go down in the water.

"Come back after your meridian is healed. Else, I'll smack your butt!"

The voice made Su Qing feel a shiver run down her spine.

'What?'

She looked back at the man behind her with suspicious eyes.

'Did she hear it right?'

This habit…

'No, it can't be. Maybe they just have the same habit, right?'

"How can I heal my meridian there? Isn't it can be devoured only after turning it into a medicine?" Su Qing asked him while avoiding half of his words without any hesitation. 

"You can just absorb it directly without turning it into medicine. The essence of this flower works better in this form," Yuan Si answered as he looked at her puzzled and confused face with a smile from inside the veils.

'She already has her doubts, still not revealing, I see.' he smiled in his mind as he saw the girl preparing for the next stage.

He said to come back after absorbing the flower, that means he will wait for her.

Su Qing felt a hint of assurance in her heart when she thought about it. Even if he was following her and helping her because of his grandfather's words, she felt assured that within the time she heals her meridian, no one will disturb her.

Su Qing dived in the pond right away as she bid farewell to Yuan Si, and reached the stage where the flower was situated. 

"Wow!" Su Qing felt like it was her first time experiencing such a beautiful flower.

The flower looked very beautiful, like a snowflake from a closer look.

Su Qing picked up the flower with both her hands, and in an instant, the flower started to glow with a refreshing aura that made a person feel calm.

Su Qing closed her eyes as she sat down on the stage crossing her legs and closed her eyes, and started to absorb the essence within a few seconds. 

The aura around her body changed drastically as a cloud formed around her body that hid her body in mist.

Su Qing opened her eyes as she saw the purple core inside her has started to form back into round shape.

It was broken into pieces previously, after her cultivation was destroyed.
