Chapter 2

I left before the sun came up. The woman left, the cave was empty. She left her blankets with me. As I get out of the cave the cool summer breeze hit my face, everything that happened yesterday resurfaced. I pulled my coat close to my body, not that it did anything to warm me up.  The birds are chipping, the sun is coming up and the forest is as beautiful as ever. "Are you kidding me, where is the way?" as I look up from the map then back on to the map  that I carried, It was hopeless. My mother packed me my backpack. I needed this, for myself but mostly for my sister.

Do I regret coming out here?, No I don't regret it. The first time I found out I was a goddess, it was from my now dead father. I never hated my father not up until the day I found out who I was and he died shortly five years after that.

Flashback 15 years ago 

"Bring it back Kai, I want it and I was the one who got it first"  I said as anger and rage came through me "NO, WE FOUND IT TOGETHER AND PLUS I CAN TAKE CARE OF HIM MUCH MORE BETTER THAN YOU" the puppy that was in between our fight continued to whimper at us like it is trying to figure out was is actually going on. 

Tears poured out of my face as I scream "DADDY, DADDY" I ran towards my fathers magic room. My father was a good witch who I truly adored . Sometimes I would go in the magic room to help him. As I was about to push the door, I hear voice. My father never let anyone in the magic room except for me. 

"You are taking my time Zipsar, you promised to give me the girl the moment she was born before she becomes a full goddess"  the strange man said 

"I know but she is still a child, she could be no harm to the universe and plus it is still early days to say that she is full goddess" the tone of my father made my skin shiver and I want to run but I stayed and listened  " You know me and you we are gonna rule the 7 universes right, she is what we need, and pushing her away will make us lose everything we have been working on for the past 10 years"  My father said

I never bothered to stay and listen the conversation. I understood what my father meant but I refused to except it . But that day was not the end of me finding out more about what they talked about in that magic room.

Flashback  ended

I never found the right way, but I decided to use my instinct for this one. I will need to find shelter but I will worry about that when the day is over. For now I have a  day of walking and reading. What am I looking for? Or Who am I looking for? I don't know. The books I have read says that Goddess are split into 7 categories, The creators they create and love and nurture, The destroyers they are considered to be the evil one, those are the only ones the books told me about. It is said that each goddess has there own world which are spit into 7 worlds/universes. I wonder which one am I?.

I reached a field of flowers  The sun is beaming on my face. The field seems endless like I never stop walking or the field does not end. I don't see any road tracks near by, all I saw were flowers. I came across  endless amount of a river that looked so good, I can jump in and cool my body in it. It was like in books. My throat was dry, my body wanted to slump down and the sun made everything worse for me.  If I continued this way I will not find a place to stay that is safe enough for me to sleep through the night.

The river was on my left, the field of flowers were as colorful plus the green grass. Not far away from the river There where trees that seemed like oak trees and they provided shade. They stood in a circle. It was odd that all those trees were 6 on the sides those that made the circle and there was one in the middle. To me they looked like ordinary trees to me, okay maybe a little bit odd. But I shall settle for a place with odd looking trees and a river supply than a cave that require me to walk endlessly in the sun and arrive there tired and thirsty with sweat tripping down my body.

I walked up to the trees, placed my backpack next to the tree in the middle. I looked around me, not that anyone would come around here anyway. I took out extra clothing and some soap made from some kind of a flower, it smelled good. I made my way  to the river where I striped down my smelly clothes and placed them aside and placed my extra clothing aside. I dipped my foot in the  water testing it, slowly lowered my foot in along with my entire body. The water feels so good against my skin, very much cooling. Just what I needed.

The way time goes in this universe is different. The sun is setting and I have been bathing and washing my dirty clothes also waiting for them to dry and reading more books about the past more specifically goddess's. The rest of the day I ate my limited supplies of Shipner, it's a bar of meat that is dried up  with a little food that is also dried up. It is a meal but make it a bar. The sun was now gone and in the setting of the sun came a cool breeze.

I used the blankets that I had.  And laid on my back with my hands behind my head. The hat that was on my head was  worn out and needed to be toss out but I never have the heart to do so. 

As my eyes stated to drop a little, there was a glowing blue light that had glitters and a shine that is very much noticeable. I opened my eyes in a shock to see where the light is coming from because around where I was the stars shined bright enough to make light but not that bright. The trees around me had different colors that glowed on them and the light that I saw came from the tree in the middle. The three trees on my left glowed more lighter colors and the other three on my right glowed dark colors but they all seemed beautiful and fascinating. Each tree had it's own shape of leaves and color.

  I was so drawn at the beautiful trees that I did not see the glass like watery feature on the tree in the middle. I was already on my feet, looking around. I reached out to touch it but  a play came on.

"her eyes changed based on the weather she was slim and had black skin that sparkled and her hair was in braids she looked like a goddess because she was one" The lady from yesterday was talking to a group of children sitting comfortably around each other and they were all paying attention to the lady. 

"WHO DARES TO COME INSIDE MY MOUNTAINS" the goddess was angry at how much humans had the nerve to disturb her peace " The ki..ng of Es...mond dares.. to do so" stammering the king answered  "So what do I owe the pleasure ?" she wore a white dress that falls to the ground it's like there was also glitter on her dress "Well I have been searching for you for months and I have wish that I want you to fulfill for me" The disrespect the goddess felt was one she has not felt in years " You are a human right and you come to my mountains and MAKE DEMANDS, how pathetic " she was furious and mad at how much the people she protects disrespected her " I ask for your forgiveness but I am asking for you to give me a long life of prosperity" She was skeptical "And why would I do that?" she asked "Because I want to live longer and I love my life". The king's request came with consequences but he did not care about them, all he cared for was for was his wish.

"Fine then but on some conditions" The goddess  knew that the king was selfish enough to not care about what happens with the people of Esmond, then she continued saying "When I turn you into an immortal you will become my servant and there will be a moment that a child is born to take my place, when the time comes you will be mine. Do you still wish to be immortal?"  The goddess asked  "Yes I still wish so" the king responded .

Play end

I can't  breath. Wait I am a half goddess well for now , Where is the child? Am I the child that they are talking about? What  I can't be the child can I? Who is the Goddess that is was talking here? Why are the trees glowing?. I paged through the pages of the books I have been reading trying to find the goddess that was shown on the tree whatever you call it. She is not here, I don't see her.

I must be going crazy. I need to find her, the goddess. I need to find her, she knows the truth. But what if I don't find her. All I know is that she can't be dead and based on the book, goddess's don't die unless they are killed by a greater power that is the power greater than of a goddess.
