Unfolding

Gnell and his army of 500 looked at the young man with revere and fear. There was no doubt in their minds that, if this young man was in a mood to end their existence, they would not be able to put up any sort of resistance.

So, they did the only thing any sane person in such a situation would.

All of them dropped to their knees as they bowed their heads, none dared to look at this powerful young devil's face.

Raizel saw this scene and soon, his mouth reveal an amused smile.

He was born just a month ago, and wasn't even a year old, undoubtedly, he found different things he had yet to see intersting.

He slowly walked towards Gnell's army, his steps were calm and collected.

The soldiers in the army were visibly sweating. They could only stay in that position, and leave their fates in the hands of the man before them.

"It's all right, get up. I won't kill you." Raizel spoke in his calm voice. It was noteworthy that he was currently speaking in the divine tongue of gods, this language had the magical ability to automatically translate to any other language and vice verca.

Hence, Raizel wasn't worried of any language barrier. Gods had a lot of magical abilities that made such mundane matters trivial.

The soldiers and their general Gnell obviously did not believe his words, not after watching an entire army being slaughtered like nothing.

However, their doubts were nothing infront of their apprehension towards the man, so, they did what they were told like puppets.

One by one, they stood up, the first one to stand was general Gnell. As the general of the army, he had to take responsibility and test the waters before any one of his men could.

He flashed a gaze at the young man and then quickly lowered it. He was afraid the other party would take an offense.

"Don't be so tense, I promise, I won't kill you." The young man repeated.

Only after these words were heard did general Gnell and his soldiers dare to look at the young man fully.

Contrary to the display he had put up, his face was extremely pleasing to look at.

"Introductions please..." Raizel said with a smile, he appeared extremely playful.

However, none of the soldiers on the battlefield were deceived by this fake 'font'. They could still see the river of blood flowing down the ground behind the young man.

Gnell without any hesitation started to talk with absolute respect, "My lord, my name is Gnell. I am the general of the Verdian army."

Raizel nodded his head, signalling for Gnell to continue.

"W-we were stationed to fend off any enemies that might try to infiltrate the kingdom. After we discovered the presence of the Leonese army, we called for reinforcements, however they have yet to arrive and would reach here only after 2 or more hours." Gnell narrated.

Raizel quickly got the gist of the situation. He could see that a war was going on between two powerful nations. He had helped one side wipe out the other, this put him in a rather favourable position with the Verdian Kingdom.

"How big are these two kingdoms?" Raizel asked.

'He doesn't know?' A little taken aback by this question, Gnell truthfully answered, "The two kingdoms of Verdia and Leon span over the entire continent. They have been at odds for an extended period of history, now after some conflicts, they have gone to war and are trying their best to destroy each other."

"Hmm..." Raizel rubbed his chin, he was like a little kid who had found a toy to play with. This entire conflict had sparked his curiosity.

"I wish to go to the capital city of your kingdom." He said in a leisure manner.

Gnell respectfully nodded his head. 'What does this monster want with our kingdom now?'

He kept his thoughts to himself, acting completely docile.

Some soldiers looked at each other, unsure if this was a good decision. They were after all soldiers and had a certain degree of patriotism towards their respective nation. So naturally, if their actions could harm their birthplace, they would not want to commit such a mistake. However, fear kept all of them in check, none dared to voice any opinions.

"Let's wait for your reinforcements. We can go back together." Raizel said with his signature smile.

"As you wish my lord!" Gnell agreed without question.

With the work done, Raizel swiftly went to a nearby big rock and took a seat on it, however to everyone else present, it appeared as if he had teleported from his original place directly to the rock.

Ignoring their bewildered faces, Raizel called up his information sheet, which he had decided to name 'status' because of a certain mortal world story.
