Do you like me?

Today Baili Yifei invited Gu Muyan over so they can get to know each other more. But now he regrets inviting Gu Muyan over.

The whole table is filled with Baili Xue's favorite dishes. Whenever Baili Xue eats dinner with Baili Yifei, they dropped the palace rules and eat dinner as a regular family does. So, Baili Xue doesn't care how she looks while eating. But today is different. Today Gu Muyan is here. So, Bailii Xue tries to eat like a lady.

Baili Yifei noticed her abnormalities and couldn't help but find it funny.

'Has she grown up?' he thought inside. Baili Yifei has been thinking if he has made the right decision for her. He knows that the longer Baili Xue stays in the palace, the more dangerous will bring to her. Baili Yiifei trusted Gu Muyan and knows that he'll protect her as he does.

Baili Yifei looks at his sister. He just wants her to be happy and live a normal life.

Baili Xue noticed Baili Yifei looking at her.

"Huang Xiong, what's the matter?" Baili Xue asks with concern. She noticed he didn't move his chopstick and just looks at her.

Baili Yifei got back to his senses and shakes his head. "It's nothing. Where did you go today?" he asks her.

Baili Xue places a piece of meat on his plate, "I went to see my grandma."

Both Baili Yifei and Gu Muyan know that her grandma is Fu Yao. One of the top martial arts masters in J Country.

"How is she?" he asks.

"She's like always. She's leaving again soon." Baili Xue said and puts her head down.

Baili Xue doesn't want Fu Yao to leave. But she knows that this is what her grandma wants.

"What's wrong? It's not like she won't come back. If you don't eat now, I bet Gu Muyan will finish the whole plate of braised pork," Baili Yifei said.

Gu Muyan looks at Baili Yifei.

"General Gu wouldn't eat all of it. Huang Xiong, you are the only one that would eat it all!"

Gu Muyan smirks at Baili Yifei and continues to eat.

Baili Yifei feels like his head hurts more now. He is her brother and the other is her fiance. And can't believe she's helping Gu Muyan over her brother. Baili Yifei felt a pain inside his heart.

After dinner, Baili Yifei told them to leave. He still has some work to finish and right now he doesn't want to see Gu Muyan.

Gu Muyan walks out with Baili Xue and Jinlan followed from behind.

Both of them didn't say a word. Gu Muyan just silently walks next to Baili Xue and from time to time, he would take a glance over.

Baili Xue smiles. "General Gu, what do you like about me?"

Her sudden question makes Gu Muyan stops walking.

"Why do you ask?" he asks and looks at her.

Baili Xue stops walking, "Presumably Huang Xiong has asked if you would like to marry me. I know that the general has a lot of admirers. Even though I am the princess, my birth mom is a mistress. You want to marry me out of an order by the emperor or something else?"

She wants to hear an honest answer from him. Last life, she has been betrayed by love, and in this life, she doesn't want that to happen again. If Gu Muyan is the one, then she's willing to try and give her all her heart to him.

Gu Muyan looks into her eyes. "I never do things that I don't like. I will only marry the one that I love and care about."

Baili Xue's eyes widen. 'Did he just say that he loves her? But why? From what she remembers, they have never met before until now.'

Gu Muyan seems to could read through her face and smile.

"We will have a lot of time to get to know each other." He said and slightly brushes off her furrowed brows.

Their eyes met and it seems like time has stopped.

Gu Muyan is a man and so he wasn't allowed to walk to step in the back palace without permission. And it's already late at night.

He walked Baili Xue halfway and watches her until she disappeared into the darkness.

"General!" His left-hand man, Gu Qi showed up next to him.

"They have begun their action!"

Gu Muyan smirks. It's like he already knew this would happen. "I thought they'll hold back a little longer. I guess they really can't wait."

"Prepare the horse. It's time to pay them a visit!" he said and then left the palace.

For the next few days, Baili Xue has been staying at the palace practicing her sword skills. Ever since Baili Xue has received her grandma's inner strength and learned martial skills, her hearing skills and sensitivity have risen.

"Isn't this our Princess Baili?" a voice said.

Baili Xue looks at her and coldly smirks.

The girl is the daughter of the prime minister, Xu Wan Er. Xu Wan Er is the Queen Mother's niece and so she always has that high above look. She is Baili Yifei's cousin and admires him. Xu Wan Er hates Baili Xue. She doesn't like when Baili Yifei is so close and nice to Baili Xue. Xu Wan Er doesn't understand. Baili Xue is just a mistress daughter. Why does she get all the attention and love from Baili Yifei!

"Miss. Xu came to see mother?" Baili Xue asks.

"I heard that you getting married to Gu Muyan?"

Baili Xue didn't answer her.

"Then Wan Er wishes Princess Baili and General Gu happiness." She can't wait for Baili Xue to get married and stay away from Baili Yifei.

Baili Xue of course knows what she's thinking and finds her dumb.

She didn't say anything and just left Xu Wan Er standing there.

"Miss, how could she just leave like that?" Xu Wan Er's maid asks.

Xu Wan Er felt embarrassed. She has never been ignored before like this. But she held it back in. Once Baili Xue leaves the palace, then Baili Yifei would be hers.

"Jinlan, let's go out." Baili Xue said happily.

She has been staying in the palace for a few days now and right now she just wants to go out.

"But the emperor said he'll be coming over for dinner later," Jinlan reminds her.

When Baili Xue goes out, she would lose track of time and would come back really late. One time Baili Yifei was about to find his troops to go look for her. And then he grounded her and didn't allow her to leave the palace for a month.

"But I'm so bored." Baili Xue said.

"Do you know where General Gu is?" Baili Xue suddenly asks.

"I heard that General Gu is out of the city," Jinlan said.

"Out of the city?" Baili Xue knows that Gu Muyan is very busy and one time she heard from her brother that Gu Muyan got hurt on a mission once. And that time he almost died.

"Do you know where he went?" Baili Xue quickly asks.

Jinlan shakes her head.

Baili Xue then quickly stood up, "Jinlan help me get dressed!"

Jinlan looks at her, "princess, where are we going?"

"I'm going to find Gu Muyan!"

Jinlan knows that she couldn't stop Baili Xue and so she helped her change into casual clothing and puts her hair into a high ponytail.

Baili Xue puts her sword around her waist.

"Jinlan, stay here."

"What? I can't allow you to go by yourself!" Jinlan said worryingly.

"Don't worry. You forgot who I am? Plus I need you here so my brother won't get suspicious. But if anything, just give this to him. I think after he read this, he'll understand." Baili Xue gives Jinlan the letter.

"I'm going to go now."

Baili Xue didn't give the time for Jinlan to stop her and left the palace.

Using her last life memories, she remembered her brother saying that Gu Muyan went to YangCheng (a city in J Country).

She went to buy a horse and started her journey to YangCheng.

Night came and Baili Yifei came over to Baili Xue's place.

Jinlan nervously walks back and forth. When she heard that the emperor came, her heart almost fell off. She knew that this can't be hidden from Baili Yifei.

Jinlan gives the letter that Baili Xue wrote to Baili Yifei.

Baili Yifei reads the letter and eyebrow frown. He slams the paper hard on the table and both Jinlan and Eunuch Zhang kneels on the floor.

"Eunuch Zhang, go send this news to General Gu. And go find some people to protect Xue Er," Baili Yifei said.

Eunuch Zhang quickly went and Jinlan kneels there with her head down.

From the imperial City to YangCheng takes about one day and one night. Baili Xue doesn't want to stop and rest. She wants to get there before anything happens to Gu Muyan. Baili Xue doesn't know why, but she just doesn't want to see Gu Muyan getting hurt in front of her again.
