Chapter 9 - About A Girl

November 17-29, 2022

In the span of nearly two weeks Norman has been on a blood bath.Not in the sense of a warpath more of strategic attacks.As stated in Normans journal,

"I've endured in three altercations so far, it's insane how little people care for the homeless sometimes.I've attacked about six of them and confirmed three dead, some with help and some by myself.I now truly feel expressive, I have shown them the pain I've felt and have been feeling.I cannot lie, some do fight back as I've been scratched up a bit but that's just a challenge waiting to be concurred.It's outrageous how I haven't been caught yet or at least shown a suspect, the world truly doesn't care about those in need; only when it benefits them."

So he did go on, he has his simple motto; Hammer, gun, knife.He cycled through them as each attack had made him grow more and more deranged.

"Please for the love god- don't ! " Said the man as Norman swung over and over with the hammer and replied

"God beg to your god when you meet em …"

He stopped swinging after Susan said

"Alright, that's enough …"

Norman kept swinging as Susan grabbed him off and said

"Hey- hey ! I said enough man, Christ were on a deadline; come on let's go…"

He got the hammer from Norman and dumped it as they walked out of the alley way.Susan quickly put a blanket over the man as Norman said

"Sorry …." He was exhausted as they got back on the street.They walked as Susan smoked a cigarette, as he lit it Norman asked

"Can I get one ?"

Susan looked at him surprised as he handed a cig over, he lit it for him as Norman exhaled.He started coughing profusely as Susan patted his back and said

"There there pal, accept it …"

Norman stopped coughing as he smoke some more, he felt rebellious.

He walked with confidence as Susan gave mean looks to people as they walked by.They had no idea they're in the presence of two killers.

"The fuck you looking at ugly ?" Said Susan to a random man walking by as the man said

"What- Buddy I don't know you …"

He was frantic as he continued walking, Susan was angered as he threw his lit cigarette at him.

"You fuck !" He yelled as the man continued walking in confusion as Norman said to Susan,

"Whoa, relax man…"

They made it to a grocery store as Susan got out another cigarette.

As he lit it, Norman looked at the sign of the store and said

"I fucking hate this place …"

They both stared now as people entered,

"Let's blow it up …." Said Susan as they looked at each other.There was a short pause as he starts to exhale, they both burst out laughing as they continue walking home.

As they make it to a light they push the button to make it turn green; a cop car passes by as the sirens sound.

"Looks like they got us …" said Susan jokingly as the car passes by in a hurry, nearly crashing.

They pair laughed again as the light turned green, they walked.

"You don't think that was us ?" Said Norman as Susan replied

"Well they're heading that way but it's probably nothing …."

They make the turn as they walk towards a street that leads back to Agnes's suspected home.Norman still doesn't know for sure,

"So how's that girl been, any thing new ?"

Asked Susan as they walked in a hurry,

"Still nothing, should I try texting more to you know- give more context ?"

Asked Norman as Susan was infuriated and smacked Norman on his chest.

"No- hell no …!" They argued back in forth

"Why the hell not ?" Said Norman as Susan added on

"Don't- hell no, it's what they want….you double text then you look desperate…."

Norman felt offended but said

"I am desperate dickhead !"

Susan scoffed and said

"Yea but you don't want them to know that….look just give it sometime and then text and if no reply then ….we kill her …."

Norman started to laugh as Susan kept explaining,

"No I'm serious, we break into her house; get rid of family so no witnesses, kill any pets because fuck em but no dogs- we don't kill dogs, then we drag her outside and boom kill her…."

Norman stopped as Susan did as well,

"What's wrong ?" Asked Susan as if he didn't just say the most obscene thing imaginable for Agnes.

"What do you mean what's wrong asshole ?" Said Norman as he shoved Susan, they both got in a shouting match as they shoved each other around until Susan calmed it down.

"Okay- alright relax, look in just fantasying, don't take it seriously…."

They both walked again but Norman kept his distance as they still talked.

They talked about many different ways to kill a man, the professional and barbaric way.

"So think about it, you can skin a man alive and they'd survive what- a few hours ?, and that's when the fun would commence…." said Susan as Norman rebutted

"Yes the fun would start but think of the factors of such a mess, you skinning em like a potato and even wedges leave messes- so try it this way.."

They made a stop as they sat on the church steps they passed,

"Let's say you have the floors covered in a debris that'll soak up the mess- keep the suspense afloat as you spike their drink then you'd have fun …."

They both had different styles of death and the same execution.They sat there as they were thinking, what they were thinking of is up to you but they somehow blurred out the same thing.

"Chainsaw …." They both said as the looked at each other in laughter.

"We're fucking geniuses …." Said Susan as they continued smoking.Norman still wasn't used to it

as he coughed up even more,

"It's alright, don't quit yet …." Said Susan as he patted him in his back.

"I'm alright- I'm good …." Replied Norman as he fixed his posture.

They Night was still young as Susan pulled out a pistol, Norman was nonchalant about the appearance as Susan said

"You like it ?"

It was a Springfield 1911 Garrison,

"This is your redemption right here Norman…. You get nine tries …."

Norman was intrigued as he admired the pistol, Susan had it aimed at the cars that drove by as he made a "pew, pew " sound as he pretended to shoot each one.

"What do you mean Nine tries ?" Asked Norman as Susan turned slowly as he placed the pistol between the two as he explained,

"What I mean is… you have nine tries to kill … an attempt is always a good as achieving your goals"

Norman couldn't get his eyes of the gun as Susan quickly picked it up and aimed it Norman.

"The hell you doing …." Said Norman ad Susan said

"Don't move !- just sit and relax Norman …"

Norman was in fear for his life as he was trembling, the gun was cocked.

"Look this is your chance now, do you want to keep living this Greek tragedy or are you gonna conquer Rome ?….. now tell me about the girl ….." demanded Susan as Norman looked around to see no one, Cars stopped passing and the lights got dim.

"Alright alright- just stop pointing the fucking gun at me -" he asked as Susan yelled

"No no no !- if you can't be calm under pressure then you can't be calm under comfort ….now talk !"

Norman was shaking as he took one more puff as he let it sink in, he through out the cigarette as turned to Susan in a different demeanor.

"Her names Agnes May, looks like Audrey Hepburn with blonde hair…well I don't know what it was about her I just fell in love, I mean I remember her in high school- she was always nice to me….."

Susan slowly put the pistol away as Norman kept talking,

"I mean she genuinely seemed like she was interested in how I was doing….well it all drifted apart when I was sent to that hospital- many of my friends cut me off and that was reasonable but she just, she disappeared from me- like D. B. Cooper, I then find her again and try to reconnect but she's made me look like a fool …."

Susan tried to intervene as he asked

"And you're angry ?"

Norman agreed as he added on

"Yea I'm angry- I mean I'd understand if you're having your own personal problem in life and have no time to respond but a proper fuck off wouldn't hurt …."

Susan laughed as they sat there again in pity,

"Oh man…." Said Susan as Norman asked

"What ?" Susan shrugged it off as he said

"Nothing nothing- it's just you kids these days man, always worried about the wrong things …."

Norman felt offended as he said

"Man fuck you, I'm not just worried about a girl I'm worried about a lot of thing it's just- this specific thing has been stuck on me for a while now….like I wanna stop feeling like this but it just won't go away …"

Susan got up and said

"How about I help you find someone new, help you clear your mind ?"

Norman was hesitant but got up as well and said

"Alright- but it's nothing like a prostitute or something right ?"

Susan scoffed and replied

"No no no- god no, why would that bother you ?"

Norman was annoyed as Susan said

"I'm just fucking with you man- come on …"

November 30, 2022

Theo and Norma are out on a little date, they're at a fast food place.They peeled into the parking lot as Norma said

"We haven't done this in years…"

Theo parked as he said

"I know so let's enjoy it while we can …."

They got out as they walked together,

"Jeez I heard a student of mine mention this place- saying how it's so fucking good- hehe, his words "

They both laughed as Theo got the door for her,

"Thank you …" she said as he followed her in.They got up to the register as she noticed it was another student she teaches.

"Hello what would you like today -" said the boy as he noticed it was his teacher.

"Oh my god- Mrs.Pierce, hi ma'am …." Norma noticed and her eyes lit up,

"Oh my- Jason …look at you working -" they both laughed awkwardly as Jason said

"Oh this feels embarrassing…..uhh what would you like ?"

This is where Theo went in and brought out a paper of coupons,

"Yes alright- it says on this one, if we buy the burger and fries we get another free ?"

Jason looked at it as he saw closely the date on the paper,

"Yes that is true but sadly sir…. This is expired …."

All three were disappointed until Jason added on,

"Don't worry about it, I got you guys …." He rang them up as the two were happy of the news.

"Will that be all ?" As Norma looked at Theo and asked

"Should we get Norman something ?" As Theo replied

"Why bother, he doesn't eat this crap anymore plus he's always out with his friends….."

Jason looked worried as he remembers Norman and what he'd done as Norma turned back and said

"That'll be all sweetie, thanks …"

Jason saw the total and said

"Alright 22.86…cash or car- alright cash …"

Norma quickly handed over a twenty-five dollars as she got her change back quick.She thanked him as they went and sat down,

"You know it's good the youth is out and working already….God damn Norman just sitting at home …"

Said Theo as Norma smacked his hand and said

"Oh watch your mouth, he's still too young and that's your son for Christ sakes …."

The two sat there as they looked in their phones to see whatever was interesting.

" oh look at this, they found a homeless man dead not so far from here …."

Said Norma as Theo said

"Tragic, crazy what drugs can do nowadays…"

They both shrugged it off and agreed as they're food seemed ready.Jason took the liberty of taking it to their table as Norma jumped and said

"Why thank you Jason, so sweet …"

Jason laid the bag on the table and said

"I put in some extra nuggets and fries, enjoy y'all …"

He walked away as she thanked him, as did Theo.

"Sweet kid …" said Theo as he looked through the bag, Norma kept looking through her phone as Theo got out a burger and fries as they both began to eat, phones were away.

"So how's school been ?" Asked Theo as Norma replied

"Well last week, these boys got into a fight outside my class and I had to break it up- it was so idiotic …"

Norma at her burger on small bites as Theo asked

"How come ?" Theo ate in a big bites as he didn't waste time eating, he had no thought of words portion control.

"Well they were fighting over a girl is what it sounded like …."

Theo's eyebrows raised as he said

"Well it makes sense to fight for your woman right ?"

Norma scoffed and said

"I mean yes but thinking like that so young is idiotic…everyone truly falls in love when they're like in their 20s, younger than that- you're just horny …"

Theo kind of agreed as they ate in silence, the silence broke as Theo said

"Norma….I can't lie to you, I think our sons Gay .."

she was flabbergasted as she said laughingly

"What ?- what could you think that and would that be a problem !?"

Theo drank a sip of his cup as he replied

"No I don't care if our sons gay but I just think he is because you never see him talk about girls with you or even me or even Penelope for that fact, plus remember when you caught him in the middle of night dancing in the dark…."

She scoffed more as she said

"Oh that dancing- it was so innocent and adorable… nothing weird in it …."

Theo disagreed as he ate the fries,

"Well- hmmm these are good huh ?, well yes but hey I just don't see him talk about any girls anymore, just talking about hanging out with his " friends ", that could be slang for something …"

Norma still found this idiotic as Theo added on

"I mean look, I find nothing wrong with him being gay it's just- it feels wrong he feels ashamed so he has to hide it- if he was …."

They still assume as the continue eating in silence as Norma asked

"Should we pick something up for Penelope ?" As to which Theo laughingly replied

"No, she keeps talking that being independent bullshit, let her be independent…."

They both laughed as they continued laughing.

They had assumption for their sons and they never made a the gruesome accusation.The awful things he's done in the name of love is atrocious.You really will get to experience such horror when you're truly lost in life.

December 1, 2022

Norman is sitting on a park bench as he is anxious, he's expecting someone.Norman is wearing a green striped button up long sleeve shirt and khaki pants with Nike Cortez.He also had on a bomber jacket and a single purple rose.He looked at his phone to see the time, it's 2:33 pm as he's expecting someone at 2:35 pm.

What's happening here is Susan has arranged a little date for Norman.To keep his mind of Agnes of course, Norman is excited but nervous.He looked around as he saw a tree across from him that had a squirrel.It crawled on the tree as it looked around frantically, Norman oddly stared at it as a woman approached.

"Norman ?" Asked the girl as Norman turned quickly, the girl was stunning to him.She had black hair and the haircut was a short Bob with round edges, her eyebrows were hard-angled and she had brown eyes and she'd look like she hadn't slept in days.The way she smiled just shook Norman to his core.She wore high nylon socks and black boots in a red skirt.Norman gave her another look as he also noticed a black sweatshirt and had on multiple little necklaces.She looked like a young Karen Carpenter and Norman loved it.

"Yea- yes I'm Norman, you're Emma ?" He asked as he got up and stood aside her.She gave a little smile as she replied,

"Yep- you ready to go ?"

He was confident as he handed over the purple rose as she found it lovely.She twirled it around as she said

"That's sweet, alright let's go …"

She started walking as he followed in interest, they walked the park on peace.Norman looked at Emma one more time as he felt a connection already.Emma was a friend of Susan as her older sister and him used to date.

"So Norman, how old are you ?" She asked as she wrapped her arm around his, he was surprised but followed along with the gesture.She smelled the rose as he replied

"I'm 17, I'll turn 18 next year …"

She was shocked as she said

"Oh ?, you look much older- I'm 18, I just turned 18 a few months ago….."

They walked as she laid her head on his shoulder, this felt a bit quick.Norman doesn't know if Susan made her do this or if she's just so natural at making him fall in love.

"Can I ask, do you ever just wonder ? ….." she asked as he replied

"Wondered what ?" She looked at the rose with such delight as she turned to him and said

"You ever wonder what's life worth living for ?"

He was intrigued by the question as he thought about it for a moment.

"Well no not really, you just live life and die …."

He said in a sad tone as she said

"Oh come on man, that's weak; life is only worth what you give in return …."

He felt confused at what she said but accepted it.

They spent the whole day talking and talking, they talked so much they got tired of being quiet.They ended up on the roof of a hotel, she was familiar with the area.They climbed a ladder up as the topic now was love he said

"How can you feel love ?" They got up to the roof as she said

"You just do, you can feel emotion can you not ?" They debated back and forth for different subjects as they got to this.

"I guess so but just sounds moronic …."

He said as She scoffed at what she's heard, they say on the edge of the roof and looked down on the city.It was such a beautiful view as they smelled the fresh air hit.She closed her eyes as he had his wide open.She turned to him as she asked

"You ever kiss a girl ?" He stunned as he replied

"Well not really- or yes I mean- I don't know …"

She laughed at him as she asked

"How don't you know it's your lips touched or they didn't, so have you kissed a girl ?"

She awaited a response, he thought about it as he replied

"Well, saddening to say but I haven't …." He felt embarrassed at saying this as she got closer to him.

"Well do you want too ?" She asked as he doesn't know if she's messing with him.

"What- uhh….sur-" she didn't wait for an answer and didn't hesitate.They kissed as his world changed, He didn't even feel the thought of Agnes anymore.He has found that love is not being trapped to just one person.She stopped as he felt it right to kiss more, he leaned in as leaned back.

"You still don't feel love ?" She said jokingly as they both laughed.They proceeded to make out as the night had just begun for the two.

That same night Norman awoke as he was still on that rooftop with Emma.

"Ahh shit …" he said as he saw it nearly midnight as he checked his phone.He surprisingly had no missing calls from his parents.

He turned to Emma as he thought of what he did,

He felt joy.He got up and looked towards the moon as it beamed in anguish.The moonlight set as Emma began to awake,

"Good night …" said Norman in a chippy mood as he put on his pants ,she smiled at him.

That smile began to fade quickly as she looked of her phone to see the trouble she's in.

"Oh crap, I gotta go …." She said as she began to get off the building.She put on her clothes as she headed down, Norman followed as he asked

"What, it's still early ?" He laughed as she was in a hurry.She walked quickly as he stopped her

"Wait…" she stopped aside him as she asked

In frustration "What ?"

He put her arm around her as he said

"You gotta let yourself go, don't feel so stress …"

She was more frustrated as she got him off her,

"Man fuck you …"

She started walking as she changed the walk to jogging which then changed to running.Norman was still in a cherry mood as he ran along side her.

"Getting in a good run after that is good …." He was comedic the whole way as she replied

"Guess I'll need a marathon then …"

They got ran along side each other now as she was too tired to feel anxious of what's to happen when she gets home.

"Christ …." She let out in a tired breath as she stopped, Norman stopped as well but he didn't feel as tired as she noticed.

"You ain't tired ?"

He held a good posture as he said jokingly

"Nope, want me to carry you ?"

She laughed to how stupid he sounded she replied

"No but you know what, take me in that cart …" she pointed at a shopping cart that was across the street.

He went over and fetched it as she was still trying to catch her breath, they ran a simple mile.He returned with the cart as she carried herself inside slowly.

"That way " She said as Norman began to push the cart.

The chatted for about 20 minutes as Norman did move in a fast pace.

"So what's the panic, parents gonna hit you ?" Said Norman jokingly as she replied laughingly

"No- god no it's just you know I can't be out this late….they'll be mad sure- but just hate to look bad for them …."

Norman scoffed as he said

"Don't be feeling so pressured, you're only young once…."

She took that into account as she noticed what streets she's on,

"Stop right here …" he stopped as she got out, they both walked now.Norman looked as he saw he still had some rose petals in his pocket.He gave it to her as he said

"Looks like it didn't last ha …" she accepted it as they walked along side each other.

"Thank you …" she said as she wrapped her arm around his.

They walked as he asked "where's your home ?"

She pointed down the street as she said

"Just down the street, that apartment right there "

They walked calmly as it was silent for a moment.

He looked at her as she looked at him,

"You're still look good …" he said as she found that cheesy.

"You still look ugly but you got a good heart ….."

she said as she had a smirk on her face, he was speechless as they made it to the apartment.

"Oh god…" she said in embarrassment as she sees her mother sitting in the staircase of the place.

"What ?" He asked as her mother noticed her, she got her arm off him as she said quickly

"Nothing, tonight was fun, Goodnight and hope to see you again …"

Her mother got up as she began yelling in a different language, it was Romanian.

Norman didn't know what she was saying as her and Emma had a shouting match as he just stood there.The mother pointed at him as he waved, Emma pointed at him as it sounded as she was defending him.

Norman didn't know what the hell to do as he slowly walked away.He was in a joyous mood still as the two still argued as he tried not to laugh.He made his way home as felt so happy about the day.
