As the sunlight hits the mother and daughter pair, both of them wake up. Elisa rubbed her eyes as she stirred awake and the first thing that she did was kiss Alvitr on her cheeks as soon as she woke up, and this action of hers caused her Mother to giggle in delight as she also returned the kiss to her daughter's forehead.
"Good morning, Mommy. Did you have a good sleep?" Elisa asked as she sat on Alvitr's lap and enjoyed the warm feeling of her Mother's body as she rested her back on her chest. As she relaxed, Elisa began to check her body injuries from what happened last night, but she was glad that there were none, or else her Mother could actually find out.
She doesn't even know the reason for it, but for some reason, her Mother was so keen and attentive to the point where even if she tried to hide that she was in pain which she was very good at, she would still find out. Elisa even begins to think that she is like an open book to her Mother because of how easy it is for her to read her moves.
"Of course, my baby. I will always have a good sleep if you're beside me. However, I did wake up around past midnight because of some commotion outside, I don't know what it was but from what I was hearing it seemed that there was a huge earthquake that happened because the Rox Mountain that we can always see here was destroyed by some unknown entity." Alvitr answered before adding something more and when Elisa heard it, she unconsciously flinched because she didn't expect that her Mother would already know something about it.
But her flinch was misunderstood by Alvitr into thinking that she was scared because there was such a scary person who could obliterate an entire mountain. Seeing this, she wrapped her arms around her daughter and gave her a tight and warm hug to calm her down, and when Elisa understood what her Mother was doing, she couldn't help but laugh inside. She then just held her arm for 'support' as she rested her whole body on her.
"Can we go get something to eat now, Mommy? I'm hungry just by thinking about such a scary person…" Elisa tried to joke it off as she hopped off her Mother and pointed to her stomach signaling to her that she was already hungry seeing this, Alvitr couldn't help but laugh at the cuteness of her daughter.
"My baby is already hungry? What would you like to eat, my baby? I'll cook you anything you want!" Alvitr said with a smile as she stood up before changing her clothes and held Elisa's hand as both of them came out of their room to head towards the kitchen.
"Pancakes and syrup, Mommy!" Elisa said cheerfully and Alvitr simply nodded as she immediately got to work in the kitchen, while Elisa just tried to help as best as possible. Though it was mostly simple stuff like mixing or putting away the used ingredients, that was still more than enough.
Just minutes later they were finally done and just as Elisa was about to relax and sleep on the couch to get more sleep, she stopped when she heard her Mother's words. Just hearing it was enough to make her go limp in boredom.
"Don't go to sleep back to sleep, Elisa. We're still going to the church, remember?" Alvitr asked from the kitchen where she was cleaning the soiled dishes. But even though she was not beside her daughter, she could already tell that she had a bored look or an annoyed face because she knew how much her daughter didn't want to go because it was not fun at all. But she wants her daughter to have a better understanding of the words of the God that she believes in.
Elisa on the other hand grumbled as she picked herself up from the couch and reluctantly went to her room to change her clothes. Just thinking of going already makes her hurl because even in her past life living on the Mortal Realm, she never believed any kind of that stuff because for her it was useless.
"Why do I even need to go when I don't believe in such stupidity… I don't need to believe or have faith in a person who I can even see, I only need myself." Elisa muttered to herself as she took out her best outfit from her closet before changing into them, and just minutes later she was done, and when she came down, her Mother was already dressed up herself.
But she just puts on a fake smile as she holds Alvitr's hands to not make any more things awkward she already knows that her Mother knows something about her reluctance in coming to the church, she just doesn't say it to her.
As they were walking towards the church, they were greeted by a lot of people. This was nothing new to Elisa as she was already used to this kind of scene, though that doesn't mean that she wasn't shocked to see it when she saw it the first time. She thought that her Mother would at least get bullied by a lot of people because of how she was stripped of her Noble Title, so a lot of people would take advantage of this and bully her. But she was wrong.
But it was the complete opposite, she was loved by all to the point where some people would even give them some of their farmed vegetables for free, and some would also give meat for her, of course, they were free too. Because she is her daughter, that love was also passed down on her as she was completely adored by everyone in their village, some of them referred to her as Princess. Because of this, Elisa had to research what happened and why are all of them so nice to her Mother because in any normal situation, it would be near impossible.
What she found out somehow didn't surprise her though. Her Mother was regarded as a Saint by the people that their Noble family overseers because of her kindness to her people, she would occasionally put out charities and even feed the homeless people for free. Some of the money that was even used came out of her own pocket and not from the Strasser.
That wasn't all, she also did a lot of jobs for the people so that they could earn money for themselves, and in her time as the Princess of the Strasser Family, she did a lot of things that Wagner Von Strasser did in his lifetime to the point where it can't even be compared to what she did for her people.
Because of all the things that she did, she was loved by everyone so when they got the news that she was getting kicked out all of them were enraged and they even retaliated to the Strasser Family.
But it was useless because, at the end of the day, they were just commoners without powers, and with the persuasion of Alvitr, all of them stopped. From that, all of them swore that they would repay the kindness that Alvitr had given to all of them even if it was just little because she was their Saint, their savior.
