The First Kiss

"Here," Caith said coming over to her side and filling her cup trying not to look into the bath water which was now bubbly and soapy.

Sionna smiled and took a sip then looked up at Caith who was walking away.

"Caith, the water is getting cold." She said shyly watching the man who was still part mystery to her. Then there was a strange part of familiarity, like she had known him for her whole life. 'Its strange feeling' she thought to herself. Watching him turn back around and come to her side.

He looked away as he held one of his large hands to the side of the tub. And Sionna admired the muscles in his arm that could even been seen through his thick cotton shirt.

Soon she felt the water start to warm through the heat radiating off the side of the tub.

"Why can't I hear all of your thoughts?" She said finally looking at his face which was faced away from her.

"Like I said I know how to control them," he replied simply still looking away.

'I wish he would look at me,' she thought forgetting he could hear. And tentatively he turned toward her making sure to look at her face and not body.

"I want to hear all of your thoughts." She said looking at the blue sea in his irises.

'I don't mean to hear your thoughts to be honest.' He replied, 'I hear yours clearer and louder than I have ever heard someone's.' He said moving his hand from the side of the tub and gripping the brim. She looked down at his giant hand and put hers on his noticing how small hers was compared to his.

The looked back at him and focused trying to hear his thoughts willing her mind to merge with his.

'She's so...' Sionna could hear in her head less loud and clear than usual. She closed her eyes lifting herself from the tub so that her forehead could be against his.

'I have never met anyone like her.' She could hear almost through static. 'I have lived and traveled and seen much of the world, but never have I come across someone so beautiful and unique. When my father talked about falling in love with my mother, I think this is what he was talking about.' She could just barely hear Caith say through a busy static.

She opened her eyes and looked at his face, his eyes were still closed but she couldn't hear his thoughts anymore. She looked down at his lips which were still stained red with wine.

She closed her eyes and leaned in closer and felt her lips meet his. At first she felt his body go stiff and she pulled away ever so slightly. Still tasting him on her lips, and then she felt him lean into her kissing her back. He was warm and tasted strange and new. She lifted herself further from the tub to lean against him soaking his shirt with her soapy wet body.

'I have never felt this way about anyone either.' She told him as their mouths were intertwined. And upon hearing her thoughts Caith wrapped his arms around her and pulled her from the bath tub. In a few big strides she was on her back on the bed her hair soaking the blankets as she kissed him passionately. This was the first time she had ever kissed someone and she never imagined it would feel this wonderful.

Gently she slid her hand underneath his shirt feeling the smooth skin and muscular abdomen.

"Stop," Caith said suddenly pulling away from her while holding his body above hers. Her hand was still up his shirt and she noticed how heavy his breathing is.

"Why?" She asked looking up at his face which seemed to be in physical pain.

"I want to do more than kiss you." Answered his eyes seems to be filled with an icy flame.

"Then let's do it," she replied confidently.

His eyes flicked with excitement and then he pulled away from her and went to the bag grabbing a purple dress and handing it to her.

"Not now," he said finally and grabbed the bath tub and left the tent. Sionna sat up in shock feeling the silky material of the dress. It was a deep purple almost blue and had fancy embroidery along the edges. She carefully slipped it on and noticed a towel on the table next to where the tub was. She wrapped her hair in it and finished the cup of wine.

When Caith returned his breathing was back to normal an he placed the tub back in its place. He then went the bag and took out his usual black on black pants and shirt. Sionna went over to the bed and watched him undress and redress. He occasionally looked at her and his expression was unreadable to Sionna.
