Chapter Three

So the next day, I ended waking up Hermione and Dustin. Dad was right when he said Dustin will be a waking up human zombie.

He literally drawled brains when he woke up.

"Dibs on the bathroom." Hermione yelled.

That snapped him out of his zombie dream.

"What? I'm always dibs." he said.

"Well next time, you won't say brains when you wake up." she said.

Before he opened his mouth, I said it first.

"Second dibs on the bathroom." I said. He slumped and pouted.

"It's not fair." he said sounding like a child who didn't get the race car of his little boy's dreams.

"Life ain't fair baby." Hermione said from the toilet.

In case you at wondering, I have my own personal toilet. My room was actually supposed to be my parents but I yelled dibs the moment we moved. We have this fair rule called well, dibs.

"Still ain't fair." he said.

I smiled and entered my closet. I looked at my clothes before deciding on a pink plain t-shirt and blue jeans.

"What do you think?" I asked holding the clothes in front of him.

"So you. But not first day of school you." he said standing up from his position on the floor

"What does that even mean?" I asked.

"No idea. But it sounded sexy in my head." he answered and entered my closet to complete the task called finding an outfit for Tracy.

"Where's Dustin?" Hermione asked coming out of the bathroom.

"Finding a clothe for me for school today." I answered.

"You do know you are going to end up looking like Lady Gaga's younger sister right?"

"I know." I said and showed her my choice of clothing.

She nodded in approval and gave me a thumbs up.

"So perfect," she said. "So you."

"Thanks."

"Now go shower before my ass of a brother brings out a cloth we never knew existed.

She's right. Last year, Dustin produced a see through crop top when we wanted to go to the water pack and I needed a shirt to cover my bikini.

I entered the bathroom and looked at the clean toilet. You won't even know Hermione bathed here.

But her twin brother, oh lord of mercies. It's like a tsunami and an hurricane blew there when he is done.

I took my bar soap and began to shower.

Minutes later, after we were showered and ready for the day, we headed to the kitchen.

Dad was nursing a mug of coffee and mom was bringing out freshly out of the pan pancakes.

We took a role and simultaneously bit our mouth into the savory sweetness.

"Hmm. Yum. This is what I call breakfast." Dustin said as he groaned in pleasure.

"Thank you Dustin. If feels good to be appreciated," she looked at dad and me with a pointed look, "once in a while."

"Hey." Dad and I protested.

"We appreciate you." I said.

"Yeah, what she said" dad said.

"Really? Tell me one time you said what Dustin just said."

Dad looked at me.

"That one when you were pregnant for Tracy." he said.

"I didn't even cook" she said.

"But you were carrying a child that loved food more than her parents and I thanked you for that." he defended.

"Your argument is sweet and all but we have school to go to so bye." Hermione said.

"Bye kids. Tracy, you are going to their house after school right?"

"Yeah."

"Okay. Bye." she said.

"Have fun." dad said.

"That is like telling us to have fun with dinosaurs." Dustin said before closing the door behind us.

"Dionasaurs are extinct Dustin." Hermione said pressing a button on her car key making the car beep.

"Exactly. That is what school is to me. An extinction." he said going to the driver's side.

She hands him the car keys and entered the back seat.

I love my friends. Shotgun is my favorite seat in the world. I even beat my mom to the seat when we are going to church or we are traveling.

"So where to?" Dustin asked gunning the engine.

"Gee Doodoo. I don't know. How about a place where we go to during resumption five days a week."

"The cafe?"

I could see Hermione through the side mirror slap her forehead.

"School. Dustin. School." she all but shrieked.

"Okay. Okay. Chill."

Dustin got us to school 20 minutes before the bell was rung. That gave us enough time to go to our lockers and prepare for 12th grade.

"Do you think Allison graduated?" Dustin asked opening his locker which was beside me by the right.

"Well duh. Her uncle is the principal." Hermione said.

"But her uncle isn't biased so think that through Hermy."

"Allison might be mean, but we all know she is brilliant. Not our standards but brilliant enough to graduate."

"Yeah. True. But still, wouldn't it be funny if she was in 11th grade"

"What would be funny?" We heard a voice behind us say.

Speak of the devil.

"Morning Allison. Happy new term. I love your dress. Where did you get it? For Allies?" Hermione said giving her fake enthusiasm.

"What? No. Daddy got for me in Germany. What is For Allies? Is a new store?" she asked.

I rolled my eyes and so did the twins. For Allies is the imaginary store we gave Allison.

"Yeah. But it's a thrift store" Dustin said.

"Yuck. I'm sure that's where you got this garbage excuse for clothes" she said squeezing her face like she took lime.

"Yeah. Well bye Allison." Hermione said closing her locker and walking past her.

"Wait" she called stopping Hermione.

"I heard you spoke to the new guys."

"Uh, yeah."

"Now let me tell you something bitch," she said stepping closer to Hermione. "Those boys are mine. I don't want your thrift store clothed hands to touch them. My uncle made me welcome them and I want to so do not start saying to the whole school that you spoke to them." she said trying to sound threatening which did not work well for her.

And she walked away leaving us and waving to the people in the, who had the liver to greet her, like she didn't just threatened the twins already destroyed reputation.

"And you said her uncle is unbiased."
