Chap 2

Clawalker nuzzled his face on top of Whistle's head "It's okay to cry" He was so warm. A touch Whistle never felt before only once in her life.

Whistle moves from Clawalker. "Thanks, Warrior Clawalker but I'm Princess Whistle I don't need pity" Whistle walked to her chamber. Clawalker was watching her "So much pain for someone so young."

Back to the Fall Den, a family of three was sleeping in a separate corner of the den. Leaf opened her eyes, she was standing in the middle of the water. Then in the middle of a battle, a battle Leaf remembers all too well. The cat was darting toward her until Sunburst jumped in front of her.

"No!" Leaf jumped and she looked around to see Bartwood still asleep and Sunblast walked to her "Mom?" He yawned. "Go back to sleep Sweetpaw" Leaf sighed, Sunblast curled up next to her and fell back to sleep.

As the Sunrise hit the Old Oak Tree. The Spring Cave, Skyeye grooming Tracker "Mom my hair is fine" Tracker cried. "Hold on Tracker" Skyeye licked his face. Skyeye and Tracker were walking down the Fall Path when they spotted Mercury and another female cat twirling their tails together. "What would you like for breakfast Tracker?" Skyeye asked.

"A Sparrow" Tracker smiled. Mercury looked. "Skyeye didn't see you there" He smirked. Skyeye walked past him "I see three sparrows in that tree" Skyeye ignored him. "Sky" Mercury hissed, Skyeye turned her head. "Yes Mercury" Skyeye was cold toward him like a winter breeze hit his shoulder, he stood still for a moment and shook his face.

"It's just I have a lover now so I thought you would be-" Skyeye cut him off. "I don't care" She blurted. Mercury flinched.

"The only time we should be talking is about Tracker and his future, I have no care in the world about how many whores you have on the sides" Skyeye snapped.

"You should watch your tone with me, Skyeye you move on pretty fast and must have a lover on the side too" Mercury roared.

"Careful that scar on your cheek might get bigger" Skyeye joked and kept walking. Tracker walks beside her. "Tracker I have you next week" Mercury looks away. "Okay, whatever" Tracker put his head down. They were silent with them both and they wanted to say anything to each other. Skyeye just wanted to make things normal for Tracker.

"Am I the cause of all this?" Tracker looks at his mother in the most guilty way, the problem for his mother's happiness and pride and the only reason she still has to talk to his father. Skyeye's face turns sad at her son's words no mother should hear from her child.

"Listen to me and listen to me now Tracker, you are never the cause of any of this and you are the best and most wonderful gift the spirit gave me" Skyeye smiled and pulled Tacker into a hug.

"I can't believe your ex-wife called me a whore" Female cat huffed.

"Whatever she missed me that is all that matters, that she-cat was always too stubborn for her good and I try to reeducate her," Mercury smirked. Someone bumped into him. "Watch it!" Mercury hissed. "Ugh, something touched me" Nightshade brushed himself.

"Brother, I'm sorry Mercury." Nightmare sighed. "Whatever stays away from me," Mercury yelled and walked away. Nightshade and Nightmare were picking herbs and moss in silence until Nightmare opened her mouth.

"Shut up" Nightshade speaks first.

"Please Nightshade you have been so cold and mean to everyone since our mother died" Nightmare put her paw on Nightshade's back, "And your relationship with Vineglow-" Nightshade hissed at her. "How about you fix your relationship and stay out of mine for once!" Nightshade growled. Nightmare put her ears down as she started to cry.

"Shut up!" Nightshade hissed. Nightmare looks at him with fear. "I gotta say this once and only once little sister, you are too old for tears we are not on the battlefield no more!" Nightshade walks up to her, she slowly walks backward into a tree.

"Stop bringing up Mom and stop trying to get me to talk to Vineglow I know how to deal with stuff on my own and I don't need help from someone like you" Nightshade walked away, picking up more herbs and putting some in his saddle.

"You should be going Nightmare Autumn needs her medicine, fix your face" Nightshade finished. Across the training ground and close to the Winter Castle is Winter University for adult cats that are training to be soldiers or apprentices if they get selected, it used to be an orphanage for young cats that lost their families to the war. It is also used for dorm in case there is an emergency and the soldiers need to move fast.

Nightmare was walking into the building, and she went to the office. "Vice Principal" Nightmare called for them. "Hello, Nightmare you have my herbs?" Autumn was marking papers with her paws. "Yes," Nightmare was putting the herbs in a bottle. The two work in silence, Nightmare opens her mouth.

"How are you, Nightmare?" Autumn pointed out.

"Good, just helping my brother" Nightmare tries to avoid the question.

"Nightmare you lost your mother not too long ago, I understand myself. But I knew your mother wanted you to move on" Autumn smiled. Nightmare nodded and walked out.

"May the Sunrise guide your path little Nightmare" Autumn went to another room. "Sister I just saw Nightmare" Autumn sighed. Tree looks up from reading a book. Tree and Autumn stared at each other.

"Little sister" Tree nuzzled her head to Autumn's neck. "Sister please it's bad enough that you're my big sister and the Principal but we are both too old to be acting like kittens" Autumn tries to push Tree away. "Aww come on Sis it's just a nuzzle" Tree went back to her desk.

"Didn't you hear me I say Nightmare is back" Autumn groaned.

"Yes, I heard you, who did you think asked for her back?" Tree replied.

"Nightshade, just like his mother," Autumn added. Tree nodded and went back to reading her book. Down in the training ground, Vineglow was circling a soldier. Vineglow pinned the soldier with their neck. "The winner is Vineglow," Clawalker said.

Vineglow helps the soldier up. "Your amazing battle trainer" Soldier smiled. "Thank you alright soldiers go back to your dorms I will see you all tomorrow and may the Sunrise be with you" Vineglow climbed up the rock Clawalker was on. "Nice work Battle Trainer" Clawalker smiled.

"Thanks, Clawalker, and besides you taught me that move" Vineglow added. Clawalker nodded and turned at Vineglow's leg. "You might want to go to the medic before that turns into a scar" Clawalker points out. Vineglow licks their leg.

"Vineglow....." Clawalker groaned.

"I'm sorry, but it's just so awkward seeing Nightshade we are on break until we can both see what we want but all I want is him." Vineglow sighed.

"Then say that dummy" Clawalker blurted out. Vineglow put their ears down. "It's not that simple" Vineglow looked at the sky. At the Fall Academy Teacher was walking into the office. "Hello, Vice Principal." The teacher said. "You here for Leaf?" Skyeye asked. Teacher nodded.

"Yes," Leaf walked away from her desk.

"Yes Principal Leaf, your son missed his class again" the Teacher sighed.

"Yes I know, he is just going through some stuff." Leaf smiled.

"You're the Principal and he's your son, and he needs to set examples for the other students." Teacher barked.

"That's a bunch of bull-" Leaf stopped Skyeye from finishing her sentence. "Yes, I understand thank you." Leaf put her head down. The teacher walks out of their office.

"What the herb Leaf?!" Skyeye hissed.

"Do you want to lose your job Sky? Cats talk, they will know something wrong, and that my son wants to be a Warrior." Leaf starts pacing around the office.

"The war is over Leaf." Skyeye put her paw on Leaf's back. Leaf sighed and covered her face. Skyeye thinks for a moment and opens her mouth.

"How about letting Sunburst teach here?" Skyeye said. Leaf turned her head to her fast. "You must be out of your mind Skyeye" Leaf chuckled. Skyeye stares at her. "Now you have bugs in your head." Leaf paces around her.

"Think about it Leaf, we are still getting used to a normal life, but we are short on teachers and some Cats want to be a soldier," Skyeye advised. Leaf put her head down and thought. Summer Mountain, as the tree moves slightly in the wind. A big cat was sleeping on a huge rock as the sun touched her body.

"Sunburst!" Sunblast yelled. She opens one eye, and this kid is back. "So you gotta train me?" He smiled.

"I was thinking maybe I need to build up my body," Sunblast said. Sunburst turns her head around and looks at Sunblast, he does have a nice figure for a kid his age, if he does train he might beat Clawalker one day. Sunburst stretches out. "Hey runt," Sunburst said.

"My name is Sun-"

"How about we start your training." Sunburst starts walking in the trees, Sunblast follows her. Sunburst stops at a waterfall. "Whoa, it's pretty." Sunblast smiled. "Can you swim?"

"Good enough but-" Before he knew it Sunburst pushed him down the waterfall. Don't worry, he is safe and the waterfall goes straight to the river path. As Skyeye and Leaf were walking to the Mountain they spotted fur in the River. "Someone shedding?" Leaf poked it. "Hey, Mom." Sunblast grinned. Skyeye was trying to hold back her laugh. Leaf picks him up with her teeth and places him gently on the dirt path.

"I swear Sunblast, you've gotta be the death of me someday," Leaf growled. Sunblast curled up. Leaf sighed and calmed herself. "Where is Sunburst?" Skyeye stepped up. "I don't know she pushed me, down the waterfall." Sunblast covers his mouth.

"She what?!" Skyeye and Leaf yelled.

"Finally." Sunburst sighed happily as she was lying in a tree. "Sunburst!" Leaf darted into the tree she was in. Sunburst jumped in another tree. Leaf hissed.

"Leaf, how are you?" Sunburst smiled. "Don't ask about my well-being." Leaf jumped in the tree Sunburst was in. "YOU PUSH MY CHILD DOWN A WATERFALL!" Leaf pulled out her claws.

"Yes, but I did ask him if he can swim?" Sunburst jumped down the tree and dashed off. Skyeye was running behind her.

"Skyeye, how are you?" Sunburst asked. "I'm fine, but we need to talk to you Sunburst." Skyeye ran up in front of her. "I can't gotta charging mom coming after me." Sunburst jumped in another tree. Skyeye stopped running.

Leaf stops at her track. "We just want to talk Sunburst." Skyeye sighed. "You not gonna claw at me are you, I'm so weak and helpless." Sunburst pouted. 

"Weak and Helpless?" Skyeye tilts her head.

"I won't stick my claw up your a-" Skyeye covers Leaf's mouth. Sunburst tilts her head and walks over to them. "Sunburst." Leaf sighed looking at her injured leg.

"Yes, look at what you two did to me," Sunburst said.

"Sunburst it's been years ago and you still haven't forgiven us?" Skyeye looks at her with guilt in her eyes. Sunburst stares at her.

"No, why should I if that all go home." Sunburst walks away from this situation.

"We need teachers!" Leaf yelled. Sunburst stopped in her tracks and turned her head slowly to Leaf. "What?" Sunburst softly said. Both Leaf and Skyeye were taken aback they never saw her like that. Sunburst sitting down.

"We are short on teachers and need some help." Leaf continued.

"After all these years why now?" Sunburst expressed sadness.

"Cause why not?" Skyeye asked. Sunburst looks at her.

"You're bored Sunburst." 

"How much ration?" Sunburst asked.

"Two rabbits a day," Skyeye replied.

"Two rabbits and three mice," Sunburst demanded.

"Three rabbits and two mice." 

"Deal."

"Deal." Sunburst and Skyeye smirked. Leaf was standing there dumbfounded. "We need permission from the King," Leaf said.

"Permission never heard of it." Sunburst strolls down the mountain. "Are you mad?" Skyeye followed behind her.

Winter Castle*

Whistle was roaming the halls. "Princess." A voice came from behind her.

"Spiritstalker?" Whistle acknowledged.

"The King wishes to see you in the throne room." He affirmed.  Whistle followed him down the hall and in front of the two twins' door.  "My king, Warrior Apprentice Spiritstalker, and Princess Whistle are here." Soldier announced.

"Father-" Whistle watched in fear as Soundwave slapped Whisper in the face.

"You're the evil spirit!" Soundwave hissed.

"Mom." Whistle whispered. Soundwave turns her head and is shocked. "Daughter....."

Whisper smirked. "My child you're mother is not feeling well, soldier take my wife to her chamber." Soldiers followed behind Soundwave as they walked out of the throne room. Then another soldier closes the door leaving King, Princess, Warrior Apprentice,  Battle Trainer, and the now Warrior in a silent throne room.

"Now that everyone is here, there is a problem a flock of deer are resting by the water hole. Some of Vineglow's soldiers were injured." Whisper explained.

"Yes, they are too close to the Fall Academy we might have to reroute the young cats until that problem is solved," Vineglow added.

"After we do that, may I have a say in this?" Whistle announced.

"Yes, My daughter," Whisper replied.

"Would it be possible to kill one for this banquet of the year?" Whistle asked. They all look at her and turn to the King. Whisper walked over to her and put his paw on her shoulder.

"So Clawalker how do you feel taken out a deer?" Whisper turns his head to him. "This wasn't my first time," Clawalker smirked. 

"Good job my child, now you are free to go." Whisper turn around. Whistle and Spiritstalker were walking out of the throne room as they walked down the hall. "Princess Whistle?" He asked.

"I am the daughter of a King who forgot my name." Whistle stop walking. Back at the throne room. "Who knew my blood had ideas like that." Whisper smiled.

"She smarts my King and is perfect as the next Ruler of the Seasons," Clawalker said.

"Yes she is, I'm more shocked you like her, she is my daughter and a royal." Whisper joked.

"Let be honest my King are you sure she your blood cause Queen Soundwave has a lot of soldiers she likes," Clawalker smirked.

"You are losing my interest and that is very dangerous Clawalker." Whisper pulled out his claws. Vineglow put their ears down.

"EXCUSE ME!" Sunburst opens the doors. Leaf and Skyeye were pacing behind her. "How. Does. She. Still. Have. Energy." Leaf sat down and sighed.

"Easy don't have kids." Sunburst hinted.

"Sunburst?" Vineglow looks. "Hey, Vineglow look at you, that a new scar keep it up." Sunburst smiled

"Clawalker I know you see me." She smiled. "Good to see you Sunburst" Clawalker looks away.

The King looked at them and grinned. King passed Vineglow & Clawalker and made his way to her."Former Warrior Sunburst you look good for almost a dead cat." Whisper grinned like a madman.

"In your still a royal pain my tail," Sunburst answered. 

"What brings you here Sunburst?" He confessed.

"I would like to be a teacher." She replied. Whisper's eyes were in shock then he started laughing.

"Thanks, Sunburst, I have been so bored seeing the former warrior who helped my father in the war is now a common cat as a teacher." Whisper grinned.

"And see a sissy female Prince is now a King with some balls on him," Sunburst smirked.

"Alright then, Principal Leaf you have the paperwork?" Whisper looks over at Sunburst. 

"No, my King, but I can get started," Leaf said. Whisper nodded and walked away. Sunburst, Leaf, and Skyeye leave the throne room.

"Why did you agree to be a teacher?" Leaf confessed.

"I owe a friend a favor," Sunburst replied.

"Since when do you have friends?" Skyeye asked. Sunburst put her ears down and sighed.

Medic Hall*

Nightmare & Gentle was making medicine. "Now Gentle which herbs are used for infection?" Nightmare asked.

"Turmeric, Thyme, and Olive leaf." Gentle answered. "Good job Gentle." Nightmare smiled and mixed the herbs and water. Nightshade walks in. "I'm back."

Nightmare turned her head and went back to Gentle. "Alright Gentle I think the sunset is touching the trees, here are your rations for today." Nightmare grabs two sparrows. Gentle grab them and walk out to the halls.

"Gentle," Leaf called her. Gentle turns her head and walks over to them. "Hello Gentle." Skyeye patted her head, "Hello Vice Principal, I was just about to go home." Gentle said.

"We can walk you to your home." Leaf smiled. "Who's the kid?" Sunburst asked.

"This is Gentle one of my students, she is also a Medic apprentice in the Castle," Skyeye answered. Sunburst nodded and Gentle nodded her head back. As the female cats walk down the fall path and pass the old oak tree, they make it to the fall den.

"Thank you, Principal and Vice Principal." Gentle said.

"And me too," Sunburst argued.

"Yes, sure you do." Gentle walk in her den.

"I like her." Sunburst grinned. Skyeye smiled and Leaf sighed.

"Well Sunburst since you gotta be a teacher, you can't stay in the Summer Mountains," Leaf said.

"I can stay in a tree somewhere close." Sunburst looks around for a strong tree.

"Oh, I just thought since your leg is....." Leaf slowly drifts away.

"I can't use my leg I need to be grounded," Sunburst mentioned. Skyeye put her ears down and looked away.

"I- well- it just-." Leaf babbled not knowing what to say, Sunburst was the type of a cat to tell you straight up and times you messed up but still make sure you're okay. Sunburst put her injured paw on Leaf's Shoulder.

"I know you mean well Leaf, but you know me I never needed help I was your first teacher after all." Sunburst smiled. Leaf smiled and nodded. When the Sunset touched to river path.

Bartwood stepped out of the den for the night patrol. As he made his way down the fall path and jumped over the river.

"Hello, night patrol." Bartwood smiled. Soldiers looked, waved, and greeted him. Mercury walks over to him and tries to stand taller than him "I don't do overtime Bartwood." Mercury barked. 

"Relax Mercury, I'm only 5 minutes late." Bartwood smiled.

"Tch, whatever watch out there a flock of deer around the water hole try not to mess up." Mercury grinned. Bartwood was not listening and looking at a flock of birds. Mercury growled and darted toward him.

"Patrol Leader!" The soldier yelled. Mercury pulls his claw out and dashes forward, Bartwood stands his ground as Mercury's front leg aims for Bartwood's face, he grabs Mercury's leg with his mouth, and lifts him in the air. Soldiers were standing there in shock. Bartwood slammed him to the ground and pinned his body with his weight.

Mercury hissed at him but couldn't get up. "That was a nice little fight Mercury but stop the act, you should keep your head down from now on after all the reputation of your family is nothing to laugh at, And after what your father did I thought you keep your head down, but no your just like him too cocky for your good. No wonder Skyeye moved on so fast." Bartwood smiled.
