Chapter 17: Relaxing

So I'm adding some things. Since the MCs clan isn't a cannon house, I'm adding two extra demon houses that serve under them. Those two being Belphegor and Abaddon. This was something I was debating for a while so I never directly mentioned it but now I'm adding it.

"Were ho-" I started but before I could finish I was pulled into a tight hug by someone. Knowing it was my mother, I gave her a firm hug back and pulled back kissing her on the cheek. She smiled and released the hug, walking over to Serafall, Grayfia, Kouko and Inari and giving each of them a hug.

I could notice Inanna was a little awkward, maybe since people in Japan aren't as open like this, so I decided to introduce her to my mother, and vice versa.

After introductions, my mother called two maids and told her to show Inanna and Inari their rooms. I followed them, since I had their stuff, and dropped off their things at their rooms. Afterwards, I use my magic to scan the house and find where everyone went, which is the living room.

Walking in with the two behind me, I see Kouko and Mother having a serious conversation in a quiet tone with Grayfia and Serafall making comments throughout. I coughed and got their attention, and while I heard part of the conversation, I couldn't make out what it was about. "What are you all talking about?"

"Nothing. How was your trip?" My mother spoke quickly before changing the topic.

"It was fine, a little boring but productive. I'm going to go visit Ajuka and let you finish your conversation, I'll be back later." I said.

"Okay, wait for a second." She replies and stands up walking over to me.

"Yes what i-" My words are cut off when her lips sealed my own. I responded in kind, wrapping my arm around her waist and pulling her closer, deepening the kiss. I pulled back and asked a question that I more or less knew the answer to, "While I don't mind this, what was that for?"

She pouted, which looked cute even on a hundreds year old devil, "You started a relationship with your sister, which is fine, but then even with Inari before me."

I gave a wry smile and placed another kiss on her lips, "Sorry, sorry. I'll make it up to you, I'm going to go, Love you."

She smiled, "Love you too. Have fun."

I summoned a teleportation circle under me and teleported off to Ajuka's place. I walk up like normal and make my way to his lab, where I know he is. I knock on the door and after a few minutes Reyna opens the door and greets me with a surprised face.

"Hey Valerian, it's been a while since we last saw you, how was your trip with everyone?" She asked before welcoming me inside.

"Productive. All the girls got weapon trainers, and I met a few people. On a different note, how is the research coming?" I responded.

"Productive. We have figured out that other than the acting as a focus, we can link two of them together. If we can figure out a way to link two together and then channel energy through one into the other, it could theoretically be used to change a person into a devil." She explained.

"Do you think you could link two and put one into a devil, and another into someone else and it could turn them?" I asked explaining the general concept of the king pieces.

"We could... But we don't know how it would affect the other person. It could just kill them if they can't handle the energy. We are working on a way for a devil to store their energy into these crystals and have it assimilate with whoever uses the crystal." She replied.

"Could you make something that can store the devil's energies and then integrates into a person and directly assimilates with them from inside their own bodies?"

By now, we arrived in the lab where Ajuka was seen standing in front of two Agares crystals. He was channeling energy into one, and it was flowing into the other. He stopped and responded, "It could work, but we would have to figure out a way to make these crystals store energy."

"Have you tried cutting them smaller? If you put the same amount of energy into a smaller container it might last longer." I suggest with some half assed logic, but it's an anime world so who knows what's possible. Logically a smaller container couldn't hold the same amount of energy as a larger container, though my point wasn't completely illogical. If it could hold that much energy and it was dispersing throughout the whole crystal and leaking out from it, if there was less space for it to spread out through it would take longer to disperse.

"That... Might actually work. Let's try it while your here." He responded with excitement.

So after an hour of cutting it down to different sizes, it went from a large crystal that was bigger than my forearm to a crystal smaller than my palm. I grabbed it and channeled energy into it, which glowed with a dark purple that had a variety of colored dots sparking around the inside. At the very center, a barely discernable burning orange eye could be seen from all sides.

We all observed it without saying a word, though I could see the other two were confused why it looked like that but I didn't bother clarifying. It took the crystal close to 5 minutes to disperse the energy I put into it.

"Well, I think its safe to assume your theory is correct, at least to a point." Ajuka said. Reyna nodded in agreement.

"Well, I just came to say hey and see how your project was coming. I'll leave you with the possibly dangerous stuff." I laughed and summoned a teleportation circle and went home.

"Dick." I heard Ajuka mutter before I left causing me to laugh even more.

Appearing back in my living room, the girls were all on the couch chatting happily with each other, even Inanna. "I'm back." I say walking over to Grayfia, who is sitting in between Serafall and my mother and stand her up, sit where she was and put her on my lap.

Her face goes red but she snuggles into my embrace nonetheless. I wrap my arms around my mother and Serafall and pull them closer as well. Serafall leans into my shoulder, but my mother looks at me for a second.

"Valerian we need to have a serious conversation before we can relax. I was going to mention this earlier but you were leaving so I held it off." She said to me.

Not just me but everyone looked at her in curiosity. Seeing she had our attention she continued, "The situation with the fallen angels and angels is getting worse already. There have been small skirmishes here and there. So I'm going to start teaching you war tactics. Not just you, the two oldest of the Belphegor house and the heir of the Abaddon house will be joining us. We'll be starting tomorrow." She said seriously.

I nod, "Alright. We can worry about that tomorrow. For now we're relaxing."

She giggles, and leans into me quickly falling asleep on my shoulder. We relax for the rest of the day before eating and having casual conversations. Heading to bed, I close the door and take of my shirt before I hear the door opening and closing behind me. Acting like I don't notice I continue to strip until I'm in my boxers, which I had to get custom made since they weren't popular around these times, and laid down in my bed. Before I could even rest my head on my pillow, I felt a warm, half naked body sitting on top of me.

Looking up, it was surprisingly not Inari, who I though it was, but Grayfia. Though it was dark, I could see the red tinge that covered her entire face from her ears to her neck. She was breathing heavily as she ran her hands up and down my chest. I put my hands on her hips and looked into her eyes, "Grayfia. While I certainly don't dislike this, what's up? This isn't like you."

She blushed harder and her hands stopped. "I... Want to be the first. Also you are going to be busy soon, so I though I better do it now." She squeaked out with embarrassment.

I paused for a second before chuckling, causing her to lightly hit my chest in annoyance. "That's a bit surprising, but I guess with Inari living here, that place is probably at risk." I said back softly.

She didn't reply but here eyes grew firm as she leaned down and started a passionate kiss with me.

Ok degenerates. Next chapter will start will start with the first lemon scene, but fore warning, I'm not great at writing lemon scenes and this isn't a smut book, so it won't be super detailed. It will only make up like 1/5 of the chapter probably, maybe a little more so I'll put a scene break for anyone that wants to skip it.
