She tried several different ways to get the contract in her favor, but each one was shot down before she even finished trying to explain her side of why she should get the benefits of a better contract. 

In the end, though, she realized that she was pushing her luck and that she just wasn't going to be getting a better contract, so she signed all of the documents that she needed to. Once this was done, though, she figured that this was a good time to ask the questions that she had about the school, such as how to sign up for classes and teleport in and out of rooms and other things such as where to buy books and other things that she needed to learn to get around the school.

When she asked instructor Kai, though, he only seemed shocked that she hadn't learned any of this information before and told her that she should set up an appointment with her advisors to get her someone who could help her with learning these basic things that everyone should know.
