Quick Background Story: 

Jason Todd's life was never easy. Growing up, his Dad constantly abused him, leaving him with no other option but to leave home at the age of 18. With nowhere to go and no one to turn to, he enlisted in the army, hoping to find a sense of purpose and a way to escape his troubled past. Despite his youth and lack of experience, Jason proved himself to be a natural leader and quickly rose through the ranks.

But his impulsive and defiant nature soon got the best of him, and he was discharged dishonorably at the age of 23. Feeling lost and alone, Jason turned to a life of mercenary work, and eventually becoming known as 'The Red Death'. He spent the next four years taking on dangerous missions and living a life of constant danger and excitement.

It wasn't until a mission brought him to Central City that he met Rebekah. The moment he laid eyes on her, something clicked. They went on a date, then another, and before he knew it, he was married. But he couldn't shake the feeling that his dangerous job was putting her in danger.

So in a mission in Gotham City, Jason makes a decision. He faked his own death during his mission, giving up his old life as 'The Red Death' and disappearing with Rebekah.
