The Trial 1
AYAN'S POV
I had been in the imperial city prison for almost two weeks when the prison guards informed me that my trial would be held the following day. I then realized that my hour of judgment had come. I knew they were investigating my case back at the General's estate, I could only imagine what evidence they had piled up against me.
The following morning after breakfast, the guards took me out of the prison cell and taken down the hallway. A breeze swept by as I left the prison building, I looked behind one last time. A carriage with barricaded windows awaited me in the driveway of the prison ready to take me to the courthouse. As well as two imperial knights that waited by the door of the carriage that would be accompanying me to the Imperial city courthouse.
