Nahor truly loved Neya. Neya clearly knew this but she could not love him back. That's what she made herself to believe.
To her nothing was more important than her grandma. She wouldn't let any obstacle prevent her from going back to her.
And Nahor's love was one of those obstacles so she had to avoid it.
She just couldn't back out of the deal. She knew she had fulfilled her part and it was Jordan's turn.
Once he had done that she would prepare for her departure.
Then Neya said to herself, "I'm sorry Nahor but I am going to hurt you in the process of trying to to get my own happiness.
I know you are destined to get your happiness not long after I go.
But I will never get mine if I don't do what I am going to do soon."
Neya knew this clearly that if stayed there for any longer Nahor's love would grow stronger for her and she would have no way of getting out of there. She wanted to go back home to her grandma as soon as possible. She only hoped that Jordan would fulfill his promise and help her get out of there with out anyone's knowledge. She only wanted their safety to be assured.
She knew that Nahor would completely hate her for this but she was willing to do this for her and her grandmother's happiness
