Get The Most Out Of This Story

The story describes the first meeting between the two protagonists (a girl and a boy, a young woman and a young man) and is in fact an account of what happens to them in the first 4 hours of them meeting (in both physical, but also emotional terms).

Right from the start, there is a palpable connection between the two of them and a feeling that this is not just an insignificant encounter. It is not a chance meeting. They proceed by getting, rapidly, very attached to each other but are forced within a matter of hours to part ways. Something which, in turn, leads to strong emotional tribulations for the two of them. The chances of them spending more time together (in the immediate future) are minute given their particular "life-circumnstances". But, completely out of the blue (due actually to bad weather, from all things) the young woman in the story does not return to her home country right away but is forced to stay in town for another day.

That additional day provides the young woman and the young man with the opportunity to get to know each other in incredible depth and they both use the time to the maximum, not letting a single second together go by unexploited. What's more, they even manage to steal a few more hours the following day, before the woman's departure, to spend more quality time together.

As the hour of the young woman's scheduled departure draws nearer, they both try not to get overcome with emotion and there is only one thing which really helps them with that. The fact that in their minds and in their hearts, they now know that this is a story they are not going to forget. This is an encounter which will last...for ever.

They will see each other again and this is what makes their upcoming/imminent separation bearable.
