Fiancée

"Could I ask you something, Princess?" I asked as a question came to my mind

"Of course, what is it that you wish to know?" She asked as she looked at me

"Why did you break off your engagement with Earl George, don't get me wrong, I am pleased that you did, I am just curious, it is known that you have loved him since you were, but a little child" I asked her as I prayed that she wouldn't find it offensive

"Well love fades away, especially when you find out that your sister and fiancé have been sleeping together, I might have been a love-sick fool, but I am no idiot" What more had my sweet angel been through for her to still smile after that type of betrayal? I wanted to make her forget about it all, but how when she didn't seem sad at all?

"Pardon me for saying this, but you do not look a bit sad about this at all," I asked her hoping she would tell me why

"That's because even if the Earl had not cheated on me, my love would have died, my fate is to be your wife is it not?" She responded to me

"You are very interesting my lady," I truthfully told her and I got a very sweet smile in response to that statement

"So are you Emperor Deimos," she said after a while and drank her tea

After staying there for a while in silence and peace, we sadly had to depart so to ease the sadness I offered to take her home with my carriage, luckily she agreed, but yet again we were filled with silence as we drove, but it wasn't too bad, I got to be with her for a few minutes and that was enough for me

"See you at the ball princess," I said and kissed her hand as we sat inside the carriage, outside the gate of the manor where the princess lived

"See you Deimos," my beautiful fiancée said and got out

"Athena!"I called out when she was about to enter the gate

"Yes, your Majesty?" She answered as she turned around to look at me

"Sleep well" was all I managed to get out of my mouth, but that still made her smile at me

"You too Deimos!" She shouted and continued to walk on, I could not wait for the day I would kiss her good night as she lay next to me

I soon decided to leave the place after I could no longer see Athena which meant she had gotten inside the manor

"What do you mean she said yes," Felix asked me as we sat down, cursing my running mouth for telling him all that out of excitement, what if Athena didn't want anyone to know before the wedding?

"Like I said, I asked, and she said yes" I told him and his response was

"Did you threaten to kill her?" of all the questions he had to ask me that one

"No, well not really, she agreed to marry me that's all you should know," I said, this was starting to piss me off

"Okay, does she know about the blood?" He asked and I nodded and his response to that node was more dramatic than I expected

"She knows and she still said yes, your Highness, don't you think that she truly is crazy or she wants to use you as a death route?" he asked and my face said it all. Felix was crazy.

"Are you perhaps drunk?" I genuinely asked

"I should be asking you and the princess that question sire," he said and nodded his head in agreement with his own statement

"Get out of my office Felix" I chased him out as I pointed to the door

"With pleasure, don't want to catch whatever you and the princess caught," he said and left. Was she and I getting married that surprising?
