The beginning after the end

'… H- How did it come to this he thought as he watched his « best friend » creating air and water blade.

Those blades that were floating around his best friend slowly began to move towards him, and after a few moments, they began to slice through his whole body.

"Why are you doing this? We were friends, so why?!?" He asked while losing his sight.

"Kila, I've hated you since we were little so it's normal, don't you think?" He replied.

"J- Just for th-..." Kila said before being interrupted.

"Well, we'll see each other in hell little shit" he interrupts him before being teleported out of the Colosseum.

'I promise you Cayron, I won't let you go like this. You will pay me for it ' Kila thought before taking his last breath.

Following the arrival of the new races on Earth, the latter experienced drastic changes. The continents began to expand, and others disappeared giving way to brand new, even larger and more beautiful, leaving all the beauty of nature reborn. However, Men have other intentions when they see this. They saw new land to explore, and therefore new resources to use. The new civilizations thus began to be created that way, sometimes with only one race inhabiting these new continents, sometimes with several, even though this was rather rare.

One of the cities of this new world was called Parsé. Parsé was a city with a 100% human population. And in this human city lived a young teenager of 19 years old. This teenager was quite tall and skinny, measuring exactly 6 feet and weighing exactly 62kg. He had charcoal black hair and amber-colored eyes and was quite handsome compared to the other humans. However, in comparison with other breeds, it was neither particularly beautiful nor particularly ugly, it was quite normal.

This teenager had to see one of his friends, Cayron. He was his childhood friend, and the only person he could call a true friend. The others were no more than acquaintances for him.

So they had to find themselves in the new amusement park that had just opened, in exactly 30 minutes, and knowing that it took exactly 30 minutes to get there, he had to go out immediately if he didn't want to be late. Putting on his shoes, he walked out of his apartment and started walking toward the amusement park.

He was dressed in a white sweater and an open gray vest, going down to the back of his knees. He also wore black pants and black sneakers. As for his hair, since it was quite voluminous, he had smoothed it and put it on the side, which made his face seems extremely handsome.

He continued to walk for about fifteen minutes before he passed a bookstore. Since he loved to read, he decided to go in, even if it meant being about ten minutes late. Cayron wouldn't get upset for 10 minutes, right?

So he went to the fantasy section and started looking for books about vampires. For as long as he can remember, he had always loved vampires. His father and mother often told him about them, and he loved to hear them tell him a lot of stories about them.

Unfortunately, these stories stopped when his parents died during the war against the new races, at least, that's what the government had told him. Even though humans had the upper hand for most of the conflict, that didn't stop the fact that there were a lot of deaths on their side too, and his parents were among those people.

After that event, he decided to read the vampire stories he could find here and there, instead of waiting for someone to come and tell him stories. He read all that had a connection with vampires, whether realistic or not, fantasy or romance, which made him extremely blush during his reading time.

So he had read almost all the things he could find related to vampires, but still, he decided to stop every day at the bookstore to see the latest news. And today, miraculously, he found a new book, one he had never seen. This book was called My Vampire System, and, not even looking at the small summary on the back cover, he decided to buy it on the spot.

Once purchased, he walked out of the bookstore and was quite happy. However, he couldn't savor this moment as he had to find Cayron in exactly 5 minutes, and would therefore still be 10 minutes late.

He began to run with all his strength to the amusement park. He arrived at the park after 10 minutes of running, arriving 5 minutes late.

About ten meters from him, he could see Cayron, a boy dressed from head to toe in black. Black T-shirt, a black vest, black pants and finally black shoes. He has brown hair and had let his hair separate from the front, leaving part of his hair on the right side of his face and the other part on the left side. He had boreal green eyes and had approximately the same physique as his friend who was late.

"Hey Kila, you know it's tiring to wait for you every day huh?" Cayron said, quite furiously.

"Sorry, I saw that there was a new book in the bookstore and I couldn't help but buy it," Kila replied, extremely sorry to have made Cayron wait for such a futile thing.

" *Tch*, grow up a little, you're not going to be able to read all your life you know? Marks are not everything, start to come out of your bubble" Continued Cayron while clicking his tongue.

"Oy, it's not because I say nothing that you can roll over me you know? I've already apologized, what more do you want huh? That I get on my knees? Kila replied, in a calm voice but with an aggressive tone that baffled Cayron. For him, Kila had always been a calm person, and this was the first time he had seen him that way. So he decided to calm things down before it went into a spin.

"OK, OK, no need to get upset. Anyways, come on, let's go, I've waited long enough," Cayron said while starting to walk towards the park.

"Go on your own, I have something to do," Kila replied as he walked in the opposite direction of Cayron.

Hearing this, Cayron understood that he did something bad, he absolutely did not expect a reaction like this.

Maybe it was because he had talked about his books? Or his social skills? But this was very unlikely knowing that he had already remarked this to him before, albeit less aggressively, but he had already told him.

He couldn't take away the fact that he lived alone for more than 12 years and that it was probably because of that that he was like that, but the fact that he took his criticism like that made him quite perplexed.

Not wanting Kila to leave home on the wrong feet, he decided to go see him. So he started running towards him and grabbed the sleeve of his vest.

"Kila waits, that's not what I meant when I said-... Cayron tried to say before he was interrupted by a blue bubble floating right in front of his eyes.

This blue bubble had also appeared in Kila's vision, and not only him, everyone in the world could see this bubble. People began to shout around him, and Cayron's wrist on his vest also began to loosen up.

Even though the people around Kila seemed terrified, he wasn't. He knew exactly what that blue bubble represented. He had read these kinds of things so many times that it would be weird not to recognize them. This blue bubble was just a message from the system. A system with the same characteristics that we could see in futuristic video games. However, even though he knew what it was, this did not prevent the fact that the content of the message seemed quite strange to him.

[Attention, planet Earth has just been sucked in its last life force. The latter will therefore self-destruct in 5 minutes. Only those with qualifications can be transported to a new life. However, your entire life will also change]

[Congratulations, you have been qualified to be transported to the planet Hydrel. We grant you the class : Elementalists. Please choose your specialization or the system will grant you a specialization on its own. You have 30 seconds to choose, you will be directly transported to Hydrel after this time]

[Elementalist: Elementalists are mages who can master the 4 basic magics, water, earth, fire, and air, but specialize only in 1 element for maximum efficiency. Specializing allows the Elementalist to master the advanced forms of an element such as: water → ice, steam / earth → steel, gravity / fire → magma, electricity / air → surrounding molecule, and sound. Please choose your specialization]

This message announces the imminent end of the Earth. The only reason they give to them was that it had its last life force sucked in.

The Earth had certainly been in bad shape since the interracial war, but no one thought it was so bad. It certainly shows obvious signs such as the seasons that had changed their time frame, or the water level that gradually began to rise, but no one really cares. Earth had always been a planet providing a multitude of resources, so why should it stop today?

The races closest to nature had even warned of dangers, and that the planet was suffering enormously, but human greed was far too great for this kind of thing. But the most shocking thing was what happened next. The fact that only those qualified can be transported to another place.

Fortunately for him, he was one of the qualifiers, and his class was something extremely effective. Without hesitation, he chose to take the specialization of water. He decided to take this one because he knew that water was extremely versatile, much more than the others. One of these evolutions, ice, was the perfect creative element, which will allow him to do whatever he wants with it.

Once chosen, he turns to see his friend Cayron who seemed more and more distant with time. He didn't know exactly why, maybe it was his new friends from college that made him like that? Only he knew. But he still felt that he was beginning to distance himself from him.

When he was in front of him, he saw a frightened Cayron. It was the reaction of a normal person after all. Who could even be happy to see that the planet on which he lived was going to be destroyed, where he had all his friends, his family, and all his memories?

This was the case with Cayron. He did not want to believe it but was forced to return to reality. He was also qualified for this new life but decided to let the system choose its path.

Thinking that he might be separated from Kila, his childhood friend, but also a reliable source of information on this subject, he decided to make direct physical contact with him. He didn't know if touching his clothes would be enough to be transported with him, so opted for a more direct thing, physical contact.

Not knowing what to do, he ran to him and held his hand so hard that Kila tried to shake it to free himself from Cayron's grip. Even though he had pretty much the same body, Cayron was still stronger than him, which explains why Kila couldn't get his hand out.

After seeing that he would not be able to detach himself from his grip, Kila throw a cold glance at Cayron who made him shake with all his might. He felt like Kila wasn't looking at him but at his soul. He then looked away from Kila, and a few moments later, their vision turned completely white before regaining colors.

They had been teleported to Hydrel.

The place where they had been teleported doesn't look like something civilizing at all, at least for now. They had landed in a desert with all the people who were selected in a 10 km rayon. This dessert was hot, so hot that even with shoes, their feet kept heating up. The sun was bright and some people including Kila already begun to feel uncomfortable. Not uncomfortable because of what happens to them, but rather because of the heat.

Once he came to his senses, Kila used what he could to activate his new element. But just before he used it, an extremely pleasant breeze came from the right side of his body. Turning to this side, he saw Cayron with a little green fairy next to him who was winding around him.

Cayron's class was an elementary guardian. He possessed the very allegory of the element in which he was the guardian, and here, in this case, he was the guardian of the elemental of the weakest wind, Sylphide.

After Kila saw Cayron, and he analyzed what was next to him, another message from the system arrived in front of him.
