The Berserk Dragon

After the system had scanned the area and the people in it, there was a loud buzzing alarm. "Danger approaching" screeched the system. Jason spun around after hearing the systems warning. Within seconds there was a man crashing through the door, he was armed with a pair of brass knuckles. The man wore a black cut off jean jacket, Black pants to match, and he had his arms wrapped In cloth that looked like they had been soaked in blood. The man swung at Jason, catching him in the lower left side of his ribcage. Jason felt two of his ribs shatter from the force of the punch, then there was a burning sensation. the force from the punch made Jason slide back several feet. "most people can't take a hit like that from me." stated the man. He went to swing again, but this time his whole hand caught on fire. Jason grabbed the knife he just got from Katelyn, and slashed at the man. The man hit Jason directly in the gut this time, but Jason had left a deep cut down the center of the man's chest. "Damn I can't believe you actually cut me" the man said, sounding a little pissed off.

"Don't tell me you though you could break through the door, take not one, but two swings at me, and still walk away without a cut. You really are as stupid as you look, aren't you?" Jason mocked as he spit out a mouthful of blood. "No one mocks Thomas McHenry, of the McHenry's flame branch." Thomas roared as he raised his left hand and shot a rage filled fireball at Jason. As Jason sees the attack coming, he has plenty of time to dodge, but if he does the fireball would hit Katelyn. That's risk he just couldn't take.

The fireball landed directly on Jason's face from point blank, the blast sends Jason flying. Jason slides twenty feet until he stops right at Katelyn's feet. He looks up just long enough to see her crying, then his vision slowly starts to fade to black.

{Inside Jason's Head}

"Am I falling? Why cant I move?" Jason thinks to himself. "Jason, are you alright? Please answer me." He can hear Katelyn but he can't see her, as her words echo in his head. That instant a deep, angry voice booms "Is that really all you have? You are a disappointment, but if you die then so do I. I will lend you some power."

{Back in the real world}

Jason suddenly shoots his eyes open, but something doesn't seem right. The burn marks that were on Jason's face are now covered in scales of darkness, the darkness spreads slowly across his body, until the only human features left are His red eyes. Jason rushes toward Thomas at almost superhuman speed and strikes the man in the black jacket, and sends him flying outside.

The snow has stopped and you can see the two figures without a problem. Thomas ignites the area around him, melting the snow within a ten foot radius. Jason's transformation is still ongoing, as two dark wings sprout from his back. Thomas raises both of his hands that are engulfed in flames, "Flame branch basic technique: Multi fire bullet." Within seconds, Thomas has launched six medium sized fireballs and one large fireball to finish everything off. Thomas lowers both of his hands and is shocked by what he sees.

Jason had used his wings as a shield, the wings fly apart. The force from using the wings propel Jason at a frightening rate, He grabs Thomas and takes off into the air. Once they have reached an elevation of 200 feet Jason throws Thomas to the ground. Thomas is using his flames to slow his decent, it is a failing effort as jason has gathered darkness in the palm of his right hand and turns the energy into a blade that wraps around his fist. Thomas hits the ground with a hard thud. The only reason he is not dead from hitting the ground is because someone told him to bring a supporter. Thomas turned to see his pal Hayden Lawson, of the Lawsons Earth branch. Hayden had turned the ground into sand where Thomas landed, cushioning his fall. "Looks like you saved my ass right there, Hayden." Thomas says grateful. "You can thank me when we get out of this." Hayden says as he builds a rock dome to try and block Jason's attack.

Jason comes crashing through the dome, bloodlust can be seen in his eyes. Jason raises his hand gathering dark energy, Thomas sees this and does the same with his fire energy. The two of them launch there attacks "Flame Technique: ultra fire bullet" Thomas yells. "Dark Skill: Dark Aurora" Jason says as all the dark energy he has stored up is launched from the palm of his hand, creating a beam that resembles black lightning, that cuts through Thomas's fire bullet.

Katelyn had been watching from a distance, since her power only made her usefull as a healer, all she could do was pray that Jason was alright. At the moment There were two loud shreaks as the rock dome crumbled to peices. After the dust settled there was one person standing over two bodies. Katelyn ran as fast as she could to get close, She saw Thomas laying on the ground beside a second body. That body was short, and fat, with long curly hair. Katelyn didn't care about the two one the ground, the one she was worried about was Jason.

When she finally got close enough to see what happened to Jason, Katelyn couldn't belive her eyes, all the rumours about him being fused with the black dragon were true. Katelyn stopped in her tracks while looking at Jason. "Are you scared of me just like everyone else, now that you see the monster that was sealed inside of me?" Jason turns away as he asked, not wanting to know her answer. After what felt like an eternity to Jason, he fells Katelyns arms hug him "Of course im not scared of you, silly. I just wish you would have told me beforehand." Katelyn says crying, as she burries her face into Jasons back. After a minute Katelyn feels Someting warm on her forehead, Jason had went back to his normal form. Jason turns around unable to open his right eye from the burn. "Lets go heal that wound." Katelyn says as they walk back to the house.

Jason feels a bright healing light over his eye. When katelyn pulls her hand away, Jason is able to open his eye without any pain. "Wow that is amazing, I never knew you could do that." Jason says as he touches the area around his eye that is now healed.
