Chapter 3: Welcome Surprise

"Oh," Alex uttered as she opened the door and found herself staring at a familiar, but unexpected, face.

Ravyn giggled at Alex's face, shoving a plastic bag of food into her arms before brushing past her gently and strutting into the apartment in confidence. She stopped in the living room behind the couch, her gaze directed to the right toward the window. Alex rolled her eyes and closed the door before joining Ravyn, opting to sit down on the couch and let Ravyn finish looking around.

"You look cute," Ravyn commented, her attention on Alex for a second before walking around the room, exploring it. Alex looked down at her outfit and had to agree. She was wearing short denim shorts that showed off her second-best asset, her long legs. She also had a white crop top and a red and black plaid shirt on to complete her look.

Between the two of them, Ravyn was the more fashionable of the two - it was effortless to her and today was no exception. She was dressed in a deep red, knit dress accessorized with a black, leather corset belt and black, suede slouchy boots. Her brown twist braids were tied up in two space buns, showing off her beautiful face.

Alex had met Ravyn on a job a few years earlier and they'd bonded over being the only two black girls at the shoot. They often found themselves at the same jobs and auditions so they'd struck up a good friendship over the years.

"This is a little dull, isn't it?" Ravyn asked in disappointment as she plopped down next to Alex, immediately tucking one leg under her body slightly and angling herself toward Alex, one arm thrown over her shoulder.

Alex chuckled and nodded in agreement. "It is a little dull, but it's only temporary and I can make it my own a little bit at a time."

Ravyn tutted as she looked around again with clear disdain. "Come on honey, we can do better than this. It's pretty small too, isn't it?"

"You know I'm more lowkey than you are," Alex answered back good-naturedly as she started untying the knot on the plastic bag she'd placed on the coffee table. "What's in here?"

"It's Chinese food from a place around the corner," Ravyn answered as she watched Alex unpack the food and investigate each carton.

"So what are you doing here?" Alex asked as she picked up a set of chopsticks and started poking at some food.

"I'm here to welcome you to New York!" Ravyn declared in a dramatic fashion.

"You live in LA," Alex pointed out around a mouthful of sweet and sour pork.

Ravyn rolled her eyes. "It's about where you live, not where I live. I wanted to check out your new place and help you get settled in."

Alex smirked at Ravyn and gave her a knowing smile. As much as Alex enjoyed Ravyn's company, she was not blind to her flaws - one of which being that she was quite self-involved. Ravyn didn't do something if it didn't benefit or suit her, they both knew that she hadn't come here to help Alex settle in.

Ravyn threw her head back and laughed before shrugging carelessly. "Don't look at me like that. I'm sticking to my story."

"Where are you staying?" Alex asked with interest.

"Here," Ravyn answered with a coy smile, causing Alex to chuckle and shake her head.

"No, you're not."

Ravyn pouted at Alex playfully before smiling again. "Fine, I'm not. I'm staying at Davinci for a few days, I'm in town for a shoot and I figured I'd stop by and grace you with my presence."

"I feel so lucky," Alex responded sarcastically as she set down her carton of food.

Ravyn slid closer to Alex, putting her hand on her bare thigh. "Met anyone interesting since you've been here?"

Alex rolled her eyes and swallowed her food before giving Ravyn an amused look. "Are you phishing?"

Ravyn smiled in an unrepentant manner. "Always. So have you met anyone interesting?"

"No. Surprisingly, in the five days I've been here I've yet to meet anyone," Alex said sarcastically before standing. "Do you want a drink?"

"Sure," Ravyn answered with a wide grin as she watched Alex leave the room.

Alex laughed quietly to herself as she walked into the kitchen and tried to remember where the glasses were. Ravyn was very predictable and transparent and today was no different. She had obviously come to Alex's apartment for a very specific reason.

Alex was filling one of the glasses at the sink when she felt a warm body suddenly pressing into her back, two slender arms wrapping around her waist.

"You couldn't wait a few minutes?" Alex asked as she turned in Ravyn's arms, meeting her gaze with amused eyes.

"You were gone forever," Ravyn said with a playful pout as she pulled Alex closer to her.

"I was barely gone two minutes," Alex mumbled against Ravyn's lips as she wound her arms around Ravyn's neck and pulled her into a deep kiss.

Alex sighed happily into the kiss as Ravyn's tongue licked her full bottom lip playfully. She opened her mouth and let Ravyn in as their kiss quickly grew heated. She pulled away with a giggle as Ravyn grabbed two handfuls of her a*s and squeezed.

"Came to help me settle in, huh?" Alex asked as she panted slightly with a mischievous grin.

"Isn't this helping?" Ravyn asked with a faux innocent expression on her face.

Alex chuckled and pushed Ravyn away slightly so she could go back to filling up their water glasses. "Helping me with what exactly?"

"Whatever you want," Ravyn said with a smile and a wink.

"Come on you horndog," Alex commanded as she led the way back to the living room with the two full glasses in hand.

Ravyn followed after Alex with a slightly disappointed look and a laugh. "You're no fun."

Alex snorted in disbelief as she sat down and set the glasses on the table in front of her. "We both know that's not true at all."

Ravyn planted herself in front of Alex on the other side of the coffee table and gazed into her eyes as she untied her corset belt and tossed it aside. Alex watched with a raised eyebrow and sat back in a relaxed position with her water glass in one hand.

Ravyn smirked at Alex before tugging her knit dress over her head, leaving her completely bare except for her boots and a black, lacy thong. She turned with a flourish, giving Alex an unimpeded view of her back so that she could admire all of Ravyn's body.

"Come here," Alex commanded as she drank Ravyn in with heated eyes.

Ravyn pranced over to Alex and pulled her glass out of her hand before settling into Alex's lap and capturing her mouth in a passionate kiss. Alex's hands automatically cupped Ravyn's bare a*s cheeks as their kiss deepened.

"So you flew all the way here for a booty call?" Alex asked through labored breaths as they pulled apart, Ravyn already pulling her crop top over her head, the plaid shirt hastily shrugged off just moments before.

Ravyn laughed as she tossed Alex's crop top away, her eyes locked on Alex's bare breasts. "No, I flew here for a job. I told you that. Did I take this job just so I could see you…that's possible."

"So you missed me?" Alex questioned in a teasing tone as Ravyn latched onto her neck, sucking and nipping at the flesh gently.

"Didn't you miss me?" Ravyn asked with a pout as she pulled back. "Didn't you miss this?"

Alex groaned in pleasure as Ravyn lowered her head and sucked Alex's nipple into her mouth while her hand palmed the other one, tweaking her nipple sensually.

"I missed this," Alex moaned softly as her hand caressed the side of Ravyn's face. "I definitely missed this."

"Good," Ravyn said in satisfaction as she pulled back and hopped off of Alex's lap, her hands immediately finding the button on Alex's shorts.

Alex lifted her hips helpfully as Ravyn shimmied her shorts and panties down her hips and off her legs. She shivered in pleasure as Ravyn started peppering soft kisses up her leg, switching legs as she hit the thigh.

Alex watched with heated eyes as Ravyn kissed her way up her thigh until she was face-to-face with her bare center. Ravyn looked up and smirked at Alex before she leaned forward and placed a playful kiss on her mound.

"Don't tease me today," Alex said with a groan as Ravyn carried on pressing kisses on her mound.

Ravyn pulled away with a coy smile and a laugh. "I do it my way or not at all."

Alex pouted but laughed and put her hands up to signal her agreement before settling back into the couch, her skin buzzing with anticipation. She moaned quietly as she felt Ravyn’s tongue teasingly run up and down her lips - gently brushing Alex's throbbing center.

"Maybe I did miss you," Alex commented with a happy moan as Ravyn dove in deeper.
