Chapter 6: The Knight

Zed looked directly into Hatai's eyes, he wasn't afraid of anything. Zed and Hatai rushed at each other. Hatai slammed the hammer down and Zed, he quickly dodged to the right and slashed at Hatai's the left arm armor. Hatai immediately turned around and hit Zed with a hammer. He immediately rotated his sword to parry the attack. Hatai pressed the hammer down on Zed, who then slid down and kicked him in the leg. Hatai got down on one knee and was punched in the face by Zed causing his hand to drop from the hammer's handle. Zed slashed repeatedly at Hatai, he crossed his arms to block the slashes. Hatai instantly grabbed Zed's blade and punched him in the face. He took the hit and punched Hatai back in the face, making Hatai fall back. He stood up and kicked Zed, making him fall back. Zed rushed forward and stabbed Hatai in the chest, but failed to penetrate the armor. Hatai hammered Zed from the bottom up. He dodged quickly and kept dodging Hatai's hammer blows. Zed grabbed a precious vase nearby and threw it at Hatai's face. He took the hit and hit the floor with the hammer, shaking the whole floor. Zed didn't stand and was exposed. Hatai immediately grabbed Zed and squeezed him. Hatai slowly squeezed Zed harder, causing him pain, he said:

"You're going to die."

Zed replied:

"Not yet."

The wolf tattoo released darkness all over Zed's body, he punched through Hatai's hand, causing him to painfully release him. Zed kicked Hatai in the face causing him to back down. Zed and Hatai spit out blood and no needed to rest and continued to fight. Hatai picked up the hammer and spun around like a whirlwind rushing towards Zed. Hatai destroyed everything in his path and rushed to Zed. Zed immediately ran as fast as he could to Hatai. The tattoo of a wolf unleashed darkness on the Dante sword. Zed unleashed a powerful slash that fired a shadow slash at Hatai. His armor was destroyed and he fell to his knees. Zed said:

"What's wrong? Too weak."

Hatai replied:

"I am The Horseman of Death, your attacks don't harm me at all. See now, the power of a Horseman. The Death!"

A large war elephant was summoned from the Zin hammer. It wore ice armor and Hatai said:

"Behold, The Death."

Scared Zed said:

"Hmm, I know what I need to do."

Zed quickly ran away. Hatai rode The Death and said loudly:

"Go after him."

The Death roared and chased after Zed destroying everything in its paths. Zed screamed:

"Save me Elastor."

Zed ran upstairs but Hatai and The Death also chased to kill him. They kept going up to higher floors and every floor they passed was destroyed and many people were injured. Returning to Elastor, he looked at everything in Reaper's room and said:

"The room is nice, I'm very impressed with the decoration here."

Reaper pulled the Whipper scythe on the floor and approached Elastor. Elastor said:

"I'm praising it."

Reaper slashed at Elastor, who slashed down to block the attack. Reaper jumped up and pushed Elastor's greatsword out and hit him with the hilt of the scythe. Elastor turned around to dodge the attack and continued to swing his sword to slash the Reaper. He used the body of the scythe to block the slash. Reaper pushed Elastor back and slammed him into the wall. Reaper unleashed a small scythe in his left robotic arm and stabbed Elastor. He immediately spinned his sword parried the stab and kicked the Reaper back. Reaper lunged forward to stab Elastor with two scythes repeatedly. Elasto suddenly threw the greatsword at Reaper, who raised his hand to block it and broke the scythe in his hand. Elastor jumped up, grabbed his Volt greatsword and slashed it down at the Reaper. The slash hit Reaper's crow mask, he screamed in pain. Reaper screamed:

"My face. It's painful."

Reaper painfully flipped a desk over and writhed on the floor. Elastor ran over to Julia and said:

"I'm here."

Elastor untied Julia's leash and said:

"Where's Eva?"

"In prison, we should go now."

"Agree."

Just as Elastor and Julia were about to leave, they realized the Reaper had disappeared. They worried and leaned back against each other to look around. Elastor said:

"Where is he?"

Elastor and Julia took out their weapons and got ready to fight. They kept hearing Reaper's chilling voice all over the room. He said:

"Time to play, time to experiment, time to DIE!"

The screaming zombies in the cage distracted Elastor and Julia even more. Reaper suddenly appeared behind Elastor and Julia and slashed down at them with the scythe. They immediately turned around and used their weapons to parry the slash. Elastor and Julia saw Reaper's true face. It was a horror face with a mouth and right eye with only bones left, with maggots crawling out of the right eye. Elastor and Julia thought to themselves:

"What the hell is he?"

Reaper pushed Elastor and Julia back. He flew up with a pair of crow wings and charged at them. Reaper shot poison from the crow's head in the Whisper scythe at Elastor and Julia. They dodged the incoming poison and ran to the door. Reaper disappeared again and he reappeared at the door of the room. Elastor and Julia immediately backed away and ran to the center of the room. Reaper flew in and slashed between them. Elastor and Julia lowered their heads to dodge the attack. Reaper flew over and showed a big crow clinging to his back and helping him fly. Reaper said loudly:

"My Elemental Spirit, The Ripper."

Julia says:

"What creature is that? It's bigger than normal crows."

"I don't know but it explains why he's so strong."

"Is there a way to defeat him?"

Elastor looked up at the Reaper's experiment cages on the ceiling, and said:

"Can you throw me on the ceiling?"

"Let's do it together."

Reaper flew forward to attack Elastor and Julia. Elastor threw the Volt greatsword to the floor and slid and then he jumped up and Julia punched the blade of the greatsword sending Elastor to the ceiling. She lunged forward and punched Reaper repeatedly. He also slashed repeatedly at Julia to counter the attack. Their gloves and scythes collided creating sparks. Elastor grabbed his greatsword and slashed down the cages containing the Reaper's experiments. The cages dropped to the floor and released the Zombies. They went in a swarm and attacked the Reaper. Elastor grabbed onto a chain, he slashed the chain and fell with the cage below to the floor. The zombies bit the Reaper's limbs and pulled him away from Julia. Reaper laughed and said:

"You dare attack me? Hahaha, that's great."

The Ripper flapped his wings to push the zombies away, Reaper turned around and killed a few more. But more zombies attacked him, they kept coming to surround Reaper. He couldn't kill them all and was crushed by them. Elastor ran to Julia and said:

"Let's go."

Julia looked at her mother and said:

"Wait. I want to free my mother."

Julia took the candlestick and set the room on fire. She tried not to cry and said:

"Let's hurry, I'll take you to Eva."

Elastor and Julia left that hellish room. Reaper emerged from the zombies, finding the room and the papers recording his experiments burning. Reaper shouted angrily:

"I'll be back, vandal!"

Reaper and Zombies engulfed in flames. Elastor and Julia ran to Eva, they defeated all the soldiers in the way. Elastor said:

"Hey, why did I see you being taken by soldiers to the crow guy's room? And you weren't even handcuffed like you were free in the castle. If Eva gets caught then you're an accomplice and will be cuffed too."

"Uh so..."

"Just tell me the truth, Julia."

"My mother was captured by the Reaper and transformed into a monster. To save her, I had to lure Eva into a trap this morning."

"Interesting. You betrayed your best friend, what will you say when you meet her?"

"Eva will be really angry at me."

"I'll let this go, but never betray us again. Promise me, Julia."

"I promise with my whole life Elastor."

"Then let's save Eva and then help Zed."

They keep running to save Eva. Back with Zed, he was still being chased by Hatai and The Death. The Death stomped on the floor, causing Zed to slip and fall to the floor. The Death created a wall to block Zed's run. Hatai and The Death stood in front of Zed and said:

'You're trapped, prepare to die."

Zed stepped back, he said:

"Time to fight. The Knight."

Suddenly, a wolf jumped out of Zed's shadow and confronted Hatai and The Death. Its fur was as black as darkness, it howled fiercely and looked dangerously at its enemies. Hatai said:

"You also have an Elemental Spirit, it looks like this battle will be good."

Zed said:

"Ready to go, The Knight."

The Knight replied:

"Let's put an end to him, master."

Zed and The Knight rushed towards Hatai and The Death. The Death smashed the trunk down on them. The Knight turned around and whipped his tail to block the blow. The attack was so powerful that both of them fell back. Zed jumped over The Death's head and slashed at Hatai. He dodged and they fought on the back of the elephant. The Death tried to stomp on The Knight, but it easily slipped through the elephant's leg. Zed jumped up to kick Hatai in the face causing him to fall off The Death. Zed jumped down and grabbed its tusks. The Death smashed its tusks against the wall intending to hit Zed, but The Knight jumped up and scratched his face. The pain of the Death hurt Hatai as well. Zed kicked The Death in the face, stunning it, and The Knight scratched the elephant's leg, weakening it. The Death fell to the floor and pressed Hatai. Hatai withdrew The Death and stood up saying:

"Without The Death, I can still defeat you."

The Death reappeared, but it merged with Hatai turning him into a giant elephant man. Hatai took a hammer to attack Zed. He beat Zed repeatedly like an ant. Zed dodged repeatedly while saying:

"The Knight, enter the sword."

The Knight howled and ran to merge with Dante sword. The blade turned into a wolf's tail and at the end of the hilt grew a wolf's head. Zed concentrated darkness on the blade, his whole body emitting darkness. Zed calmly closed his eyes. Hatai frantically slammed the hammer at Zed. Zed opened his eyes and his eyes radiated a black energy. He slashed at the hammer and held it. Both pushed each other strongly, no one gave up. Zed shouted:

"I haven't given up yet!"

Zed pushed harder past Hatai. He slashed Zin hammer high up, surprising Hatai. Zed slashed a shadow slash at Hatai. He was hit and flew through dozens of rooms. Hatai was fainted and defeated. Zed wearily knelt down and said:

"The Knight, withdraw."

The Knight entered Zed's shadow and he slowly stood up. Zed was slightly injured but weakened from using too much darkness, he said:

"I'm so tired but I have to keep going."

Zed tried to walk, he walked very slowly and had to use his sword to help him up. Suddenly someone's voice behind Zed:

"Very impressive, defeating one of the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse. I doubt the Hatai's true strength anyway."

Zed whispered:

"Damn it."

Zed turned around and met Zack, the strongest of the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse. Zed was not worried or scared, he raised his sword and said:

"Come on, we still have plenty of time."

Zack smiled arrogantly, he summoned Doom Axe Bloody(It was a double-edged axe with fire motifs on the blade, in the middle of the axe was the head of a lion) and said:

"The Colossus! Let's fight."

The Colossus jumped out of Zack's red hair and stood beside him. It was a fiery lion. The Colossus roared loudly, shattering all the glass on that floor. The wall behind Zed collapsed but he didn't care. Zed said:

"The Knight, lend me your power."

The Knight went into battle again, howling and looking at his enemy. The Colossus' fur caught fire burning halfway down the hallway and around Zack and it was a huge fire that could melt them all. The Knight gathered darkness turning half of the corridor dark and around Zed and it was nightmarish darkness. Zed and The Knight rushed to attack Zack and The Colossus. The next battle of Zed and Zack began.
