Coils Of The Grief

It had been a month since Patricia's grandfather died in a car crash. Her grandfather was an epitome of punctuality and had been a living example of a perfect human being for her.

Mr Jean Mathews was an Earl in the Royal courthouse of State Rhenisia. He lost his beloved wife prior a week his granddaughter was born. He named her Patricia because that's what his late wife wanted it to be.

As the time went by, his health deteriorated and one final day he died.

This was when Patricia was broken. He was the only who made her feel wanted. He was the constant on her life and his departure left an insatiable void.

Her parents had a materialistic bond with her. They both wanted to claim the property following a divorce. They were barely at peace.

She would cry all night and there was no one to chase her silence. She was stilled in her melancholy.

She had been penning her irrelevant and occurring nightmares which were relatable to one another.

It was a usual gloomy night. She was at her dressing table, she was combing be her brown smooth straight hair when her eyes fell on the bracelet. It was the same bracelet which Jules gave her on her birthday.

This bracelet was enough to late her into another pool of dejection. She suffered the same distress all over again. How he came into her life, how she saw everything getting a lot better, how she was high on life but then he ended up cheating on her.

This sudden gush of annihilation kept shattering her. She wanted an end to her life. However she wasn't the coward one, she knew how to fight and she wanted to battle all the wrongs of her life to get the right.

After a day of contemplation along with severe headache, she came to a conclusion. She resolved to name one forth of her property on her parents. Maybe this would relief her from the mental trauma they put her into.

Soon evening prevailed. Patricia sat for dinner with her father sitting on her Grandfather's chair. Mother and she on the either sides. Shine, her sister sat next to her mother. John, her brother came to take his regular seat next to hers.

"So you switched to that seat!" Meghan, her mother exclaimed scowled at William, her father.

"Am I not supposed to. My father has to leave his riches to me. I wish people stop nosing into it." William replied coldly.

"Excuse me, I.."

"Mom, Dad. I've something to say." She cuts her mother.

"Not now Patricia. Let them go on." John commented.

"What is this? A drama going on?" Shine said taking her part.

"I've planned to name one forth of my property equally on mom's and dad's." Patricia spoke in frustration. These words were enough to silence their parents for once.

"Wait darling? What did you just say? Meghan stood stunned.

"Don't tell me you're joking, Patricia dear." Jules remarked.

"You all heard me right. Since I've the major portion in the property, I've planned to divide

one forth of it equally among both of you."
