Family of 1

In an egg that was as tall as 1 meter, an ant was silently waiting. Whilst in this egg, he was not in a deep sleep, actually fully awake. Memories flowing constantly in his mind, and when they would be over they would replay again. His mother and father, both very powerful, left precious memories to their son after their fall. They had been chased all over the stars and eventually collapsed, but also sending their chasers down as well. Their memories were the only 'parental care' that they could share to the little newborn.

The egg was deep underground in a chasm that contained such strong spiritual energy that some had actually began to condense into liquid. The area around the egg in particular though, was like a dried up well that been used so frequently that it damaged the flow of water underground. The energy was being absorbed by the meter tall egg as soon as it neared. The spiritual energy was then changed and condensed into imprints onto the surface of the egg and then began to greedily absorb more.

The surface of the egg had imprints that were world shaking and stunning. They pictured the destruction of lands and multiple races being destroyed. The power of the ant in question was undoubtedly strong, enough for it to destroy lands and creatures.

...

Inside of the egg, the ant in question was greedily absorbing the essence the egg was directing towards him and also absorbing the memories implanted there too. The memories detailed many things about him, in particular his name which was given by his parents, Little Black. The meaning behind it was the color of his carapace. In his memories, his parents bodies were golden in color, but he instead was seen as pitch black.

This was not bad at all for the parents, instead they were extremely happy about it because there bloodline was originally that of the Dragon Ant, but it had been diluted down the eras. They also knew that Little black was not even comparable to a true infant Dragon Ant because his bloodline too impure, only enough to affect his color and a little bit of power. This was also a reason why they gave up and placed him in a very advantageous spot and then fought one last battle, instead of running for the rest of their lives.

The memories showed him their past grievances and regrets. They were originally very powerful and respected, but once a natural treasure descended upon their nest, all the people who originally showed respect turned on them. An item gifted by the heavens made them poorer than those in the streets. They had thought that they were strong enough, but that treasure was too powerful and attracting. The most powerful races and others all attacked to try and seize it. They also chased the family of ants until they had died precisely because they thought they had obtained something from it.

The past grievances and memories were shown to him by his parents to make him strive to be the best, but they purposefully left out the names of the families, so when he was powerful enough he could then ask questions.

This egg stood still in an underground area for over 50 years, silently learning languages, race techniques and absorbing energy. But today the egg had a pair of ant claws that had punctured right through the front, forcibly breaking the egg and tumbling itself out.

"50 years, really? That place was like a freaking prison, holy crap man." While crawling out his broken egg remains, Little Black was cursing and complaining. It had originally been very small, and had a lot of space in the meter tall egg. That was when it was just born, now 50 years later it had been cramped in that egg and was only then able to break through it.

Looking down at the egg shells by his feet, he suddenly had the urge to eat them, which he complied to. Crunching sounds rang out in the surrounding cave walls. "That actually tastes really good, shame I don't have more, maybe I can get some more eggs later..." The birds all the way up on the surface all involuntarily shivered and returned to their nests.

I am making multiple starting books, but I really like this one and might just drop all of the others and make this a really good one.
