Cutting the ties

"Noah Stevens, how bad do you wanna get laid that you are torturing me with your words?" Sasha asked without any control over her tongue. She needs a change in her life, that's why she decided to seek medical attention. But not in her wildest dreams, she expected that her doctor would reveal her details to someone.

"If I only cared about sleeping with you, I would have done it last night, while you were unconscious. But it was against my morals," Noah refuted as he held his high. He might be a playboy, but for him, consent matters the most,

"Why is it so difficult for you to take a "No" as an answer? Why do you terribly want to meddle with my life?" Sasha lashed out her anger, "Why do you even care for a stranger. You barely know me,"

"It's because I saw it... I heard it from you, that how much you want to-"

"Please, stop this conversation right now. I don't want to talk about anymore," Sasha cut down his words right away and stood up from her seat intending that she has ended their argument,

"I hope you don't show any hatred towards the food, since I was the one who brought it," Noah followed her suit and pointed towards the bowls resting on the table.

Even though he personally served every single dish, Sasha didn't give it a taste or touched it.

"I am not that petty,"

"Then we are good. I will leave now, eat the medicines after your meal and take rest," Noah said as he walked towards the front door,

Since he was trying to play the card of a caring person, Sasha chose to remain silent.

"I will see you around," He repeated,

"I hope we never meet again," Sasha crossed her arms across her chest and declared in a cold tone.

"Does my presence irk you that much?" He couldn't help but point out. Sasha appeared totally different from the girl he met last night.

"I tend to avoid humans as much possible," She glared at him and continued, "especially who are being extra clingy,'

"We will see that," Noah casually retaliated to the girl who was on the verge of exploding.

"Are you challenging me?"

"If you want to take it as a challenge, I am ready for that… I am hundred per cent sure that you will end up falling in love,"

"You must try to understand that not everyone has the same goals as you,"

"We will see," Noah give her a cheerful smile as he stepped out of the penthouse, " Take care good care of you, Sasha,"

"You too," Sasha kept her words short and immediately closed the door.

As soon as Noah left the place, Sasha plopped onto the sofa and hugged her knees.

" What just happened?"

She argued, Nah more as she fought with a man who claims to like her.

It doesn't make any sense.

Her life was going smoothly and out of a sudden, someone barges in to reveal that she craves to be loved and adored to a point that he was willing to volunteer to help her.

For the first time, in her life, Sasha regretted her decision to seek out medical help. It was her mistake that she hoped for a change.

This is it, there are no more sessions with doctors to improve her social relations and cure her anxieties.

If she is going to die alone, let it be

But one thing which left Sasha curious was Noah's words about Zach Reagan.

Was it true that Zach Reagan ignored her and she cried over it?

Why should she cry for a person who never cared for her?

Sasha exhaled and picked up the soup bowl which has now turned cold. Since she has already turned blind due to hunger, she started to eat it.

The argument with him just drained her energy and she should eat well to regain it.

Since Noah was out of the story, she can be at peace that a stranger whom she had a one night stand with will remain as a stranger.

Once Sasha finished having the meal she took the medicines and lied down on the bed.

However, on second thought she took her phone and dialled a number which she has been avoiding after returning to soul city.

Exactly after two rings, the call was picked up,

"Good afternoon, young miss," A man's voice resonated from the other side with a tinge of surprise,

"Mr Scott, I need a favour from you," Sasha immediately demanded. Adam Scott, Zach Reagan's personal assistant was the person who forwards her messages to the man who was supposed to be her father.

"Yes, miss,"

"Can you ask your boss to remove me from their family registry?" She purposefully avoided using any of the terms which denote any kind of intimacy to Zach Reagan,

"Miss, that's-"

"I don't want to be known as miss Reagan and I guess your boss is also fond of removing every single trace of me,"

"Young miss, why don't you think twice and "

"People started to ask me whether I am related to Reagan's and I started to hate it. Please make an arrangement, so that it won't affect my life anymore,"

Sasha ended her phone call and stared at the ceiling with a perturbed mind,

She might be living off the money which her grandma and father have deposited on her bank account, however, that won't be the case any longer.

She will work hard to pay off every single penny they have spent for her.

At the same time on the way to Autumnshire, Philippe was almost on fire when his boss called him to work on his day off.

Well, it can't be considered as some official work, it was basically shifting his boss's things to the new place.

His boss hailed from Soul city and he could take a break while catching up with his friend and family, before moving into a new house. At least he could have waited until the new year.

But his boss clearly informed him to buy a condominium in Crimson Bay as soon as returned to the city. But what was even weirder than the boss has called him, earlier in the morning to make the arrangements to move to the penthouse within two days.

One day for shifting his things and another day for cleaning, so that the boss can start living there right away.

Philippe still wasn't able to understand what is the reason behind his boss's sudden change in attitude and demeanour.

Their company and life were going smoothly and all of sudden his boss decided to shift the headquarters to soul city.

Philippe knew that his boss is a risk-taker, but how can he jeopardize everything he earned till now by changing the headquarters without any prior notice?

While everyone at the Soul city branch office worked hard to set up the office for their boss, that wicked man actually went for a bike trip as soon as he landed in Z country.

If he wants to take a break from the busy work life, he could have done it while they were abroad. Why bother everyone by dragging HQ to a place which is not so favourable for their company?

Philippe even thought that his boss will stay with his family, but again that wicked man changed his plans at the last moment.

His boss has become too unpredictable!!!

Philippe let out a sigh as he pressed the elevator button to the top floor of Crimson Bay.

He glanced at the changing numbers on the LED display of the elevator.

"Ah it is coming from the top floor," He told himself and leaned on to the wall to catch his breath.

When the condominium manager said that there is only one tenant who lives on the top floor and that too a single woman who lives alone, he thought it would be some old lady.

But to his surprise, his boss's neighbour turned out to be a beautiful young woman and for some reasons, Philippe felt jealous of his boss.

How come the boss has such a ravishing beauty as his neighbour while he only gets sleazy bachelor men as his neighbours.

It was unfair.

His boss refused to live with his family, quoting that his mother is looking for a bride for her son. What if she comes to know about that pretty neighbour of her son?

"She will probably start discussing the wedding dates," Philippe said inwardly and chortled,

He came to know from their company's gossip chat room, that their Mr Perfect boss used to date a model in his college days. However, once he started his own company, they broke up and the boss never dated anyone after that.

Does that mean his boss is still stuck on his ex-girlfriend? Will he change his mind after meeting his neighbour?"

Ting!!! Philippe's thoughts were broken by the elevator's sound and in a glimpse, a handsome man walked out of the elevator wearing black shades.

"Isn't it Noah Stevens?" Philippe was left bewildered, "Why is he here?"

Philippe was aware of the fact that his boss and the playboy of soul city used to be great buddies. But their relationship was torn down five years ago.

"Why is he coming from the top floor of the crimson Bay?"

As Philippe's mind got filled with doubts, the beautiful face of the neighbour woman jolted awake with a possibility.

"Noah Stevens and that neighbor are seeing each other?" His eyes widened at the thought of it.

"Woah if they are dating, the chances of boss running to his former friend will be too high,"

And all of sudden, realization hit him hard.

His boss had a habit of being competitive over weird things.

Both of them were of the same age and even hailed from similar family backgrounds.

When his boss found a new company of his own and became the CEO, Noah Stevens also became the CEO of his family business.

Only one thing which made them different from each other was the presence of women in their life.

While Noah Stevens was well known among the ladies and dated a couple of time, his boss never showed any interest in dating.

What if he plans to meddle in between the couple and break them apart, so that he can win over his childhood friend???
