"WHO...?? FROM THE PALACE?"

When everything was done and Lana was about to leave, she looked at him and said "Can you please tell me who the person was? I can tell that it was not one of them who did it… They can't afford to.."

The Dean stood up from his place and said "I don't know much about it but I can tell that they are from the Royal family of Country M… I guess some King family…. I heard they are very powerful there and influential.."

He said and left, leaving Lana in shock…

She was about to leave the country because she felt threatened for her kids' safety and future but right now she was putting herself into the pit of fire…

As soon as he left she called Misty quickly and after a few rings she picked up the and said "Why are you calling me at this time… I was sleeping just now.."

Lana was so panicked just now that she forgot about the time difference between the two countries and quickly apologized "I am sorry..I was just so worried that I forgot about the time..."

"Fine… come to the point… I am still sleepy."

Misty said while yawning..

"Misty… I heard that the person who did all these things with us, is from the Royal family of country M"

When Misty heard this, her sleepiness faded and she sat up on the bed in a hurry "Wh… What did… What did you just say.."

She said in complete horror as she knew how dangerous they were and rumours about them were everywhere…

"I said someone from the Royal family did this to me… What wrong have I done to them?"

Lana was not sure why this was happening to her and especially why those people were after her…

Was it not enough that her uncle's family were trying to harm her at any rate… Now she had a new enemy to face off and even she was going to live there in their very own territory…

"Ok..Leave the fact that they had done these all to you… Just tell me... Have they seen you? Or your name or anything ?"

Misty heard her and thought for sometimes and asked 

"No… They didn't see me but I guess they know my name as I am being sacked here..."

Lana thought and tried to pray that they would not have seen her so that at least she had a chance to live there…

"Don't guess randomly… Try to know if they actually saw you.. And if possible, try to know who the person is..?"

Misty said, as she was also feeling as scared as Lana because she had finally gathered the courage to come back and now she was in trouble with the palace people, even politicians would not dare to offend them and here she was just a little girl...

"How can I possibly do this? I mean who would tell me?"

Lana said and before Misty could reply She continued "I know… I know that my HR manager can help me with this… She had been helping me all along and she still gave me a chance to survive there, instead of firing me she gave me the chance to resign..."

"Yes.. Yes.. why not… Go and ask her immediately… She might really help you in this...Call me if anything happens.."

Misty was truly worried for her best friend as she knew what she had gone through all these years…

" No… I won't tell you anything… Just go to sleep I will tell you when I meet you tomorrow.. And don't worry here I was all alone and there you would be with me so I have decided not to be afraid and run away anymore… "

Lana knew she was really very worried for her so she tried to cheer her up by acting all strong…

"Ok… don't worry…If they don't know you personally but still did it all then they would not care about you.."

Misty knew her friend was trying to ease up the tension so she played along and agreed with whatever she had said…

"Now go I am really sleepy… but at least leave me a message about it so that I will feel relieved after waking up…."

"Sure baby… Why not.."

Lana hung up the call but her heart was still pounding by the possibility of messing up with those people… She was not alone now and she already had her family to fight with, who were influential too and now she might be going to fight with the Gods…. After all they were not less than Gods in their country. 

Her family held some power in a few areas of the country and they had power to impact her life even in the US, so she could guess roughly that if it was true that there was really someone from the family whom she or her kids had offended then she was doomed..

By thinking all sorts of possibilities and consequences, Lana finally reached her office or the place she used to work before today…

Her mind had only one thing right now and that was that she would not face Victor here…

"God please.. Please.. Please… I beg you please don't let me meet Mr. Victor today… I am really not sure how to face him and what to do about it"

She kept on praying and directly went to the HR department to see her manager…

It was already 10 AM by the time she had reached all of the staff had arrived and were busy working...

She silently went to her office without letting anyone know…

"Knock"

She knocked twice…

"Come in..." She quickly went in and bowed her head as soon as she saw ehr manager…

"Ah… Come on Lana... You know I don't like when you bow your head in front of me like this..."

The manager came forward and held her shoulders and said "It might be normal in your country but it seems weird to me"
