Calling Father...

Azriel sat in the horse and rode to the inn, they now call their home. When he finished his conversation with the princess, he found that the rest had left. It was strange because kielee won't leave without him.

She was not a lover of parties neither was he. Whenever there was a party in the tribe, they would look for an excuse to go hunting. It was better to keep watch at the gate than to sit and watch people dance…or drink ale.

"Heather, where are you?" Azriel asked himself as he neared the inn. He looked around. There was nothing abnormal happening. Everyone was doing his or her business. If the guards arrested his friends, they would have sent for him by now.

"Welcome Lord," the barman bowed.

"Are my men inside?" Azriel asked the man. He hoped he was right. If anything happens to them, he was going to blame himself.

He brought them to survive not to get them killed by these dirty people.

"Yes, Lord. The viscount and the maids came back. But it seemed one of them got sick during the parties" The barman explained.

Azriel was surprised. Was it Heather? What happened to his sister? He got from the horse immediately and handed the horse to the barman "Thank you, I will check them."

He walked into the inn and headed for their room. The murmurings of the men did not disturb him. They were saying something about him and the princess being in the garden alone. But it was the least of his problems right now.

If anything happens to his sweet sister, how will he live? After the death of his parents, she was one of the closest family. His uncle was still lying on the bed with no hope that he would get a cure. Stryga and Sigurd, his sons tried to keep his legacy going.

He turned the doorknob and found Heather holding a bowl of water. She kept it on the table and came to him.

Azriel's hands wrapped around her back as he shed tears for the first time in years "I thought something happened to you, my rose."

"No, my dear brother," Heather said. He was scared she could hear his heart beating faster. His body became very hot. "Who told you I'm unwell?"

"The bar told me at the door that one of the maids was sick so I thought it was you" Azriel replied when they broke from their hug.

"No…I'm fine" She told him. He was relieved. He took a deep breath and ran his hands through his face. However, this calmness did not last when she broke the news to him. "Kielee is the sick one."

"What?" He asked. "What is wrong with her?"

"She almost summoned the rains while you were making love in the garden" Stryga chimed in. He was sitting on the chair. Sigurd was with kielee in the next room. "It took everything to calm her down."

"How is she now?" Azriel asked.

"She is better…I put her to sleep but you can check on her" Heather knew the reason why kielee got angry but did not want to say anything to the boys. She wanted to keep it a secret for now.

"How did it happen?" Azriel asked. He knew that only anger can make kielee summon the rain like that. They were supposed to hide their powers from the rest of the world. The royals must not know what they were.

"Only the gods and Heather know, my dear brother" Stryga replied. He was angry at Heather for not saying anything to them. He knew she knew more than they did.

"I-I…d-don't know" Heather avoided their gazes. She went to the table and picked up the bowl. "She is having a fever. I will take care of her."

Azriel opened the door for her without asking about it. Stryga was not satisfied. They were family. He expected Heather to tell them what was going on.

"I hope you die with that secret of yours" Stryga shouted at his cousin. But Heather only chuckled. She knew he wanted her to say it.

"Calm down Stryga," Azriel told him. He placed a hand on his back. "If kielee doesn't want us to know then it is fine. The girls deserve their own space this time."

"What is wrong with you?" my aunt yelled at me when I flung the door open. She held my wrist and checked to see if I was bleeding. She thought I was going to commit suicide. But how will I? Not now, that there was a beautiful man in my life.

"Nothing, aunt," I said with a smile. I could not hide it away from her.

"Is this supposed to be funny?" queen ivy asked. "You scared all, sweetheart."

"Forgive me, please" I apologized as soon as I realize how much it had affected her.

"I knew there was nothing wrong with her" Ember said. She was leaning against the wall but my left.

"What happened?" the queen asked her.

"Lord Azriel whispered few words to her ears and she rushed to the carriage" Ember narrated. I wished she didn't.

"Who is this Lord Azriel?" Queen Ivy asked with her eyes darted. I looked at Ember and wished she remain silent.
