Chapter 6:Cliff

I slid the boys orders to them and grabbed Mark and Mike extra dressing. "You okay?" Oliver asked as I nodded. He straightend my twisted braid. "Thanks." He grabbed my hand and squeezed. It was our signal that we needed to talk. I squeezed it back. "Tonight?" I nodded and he let it go. I got them refills and watched as Bri walked back inside. "I'm sorry." She said to me as I walled over with two more cokes. "Not to me to Leah." I watched as she turned and walked to Leah.

Leah looked to me as Bri whispered something and Leah started to cry. I dropped my tray by Oliver. "Be right back." I made my way to Leah who was locked in a stall. "What did she say?" A sob sounded and Jacob opened the door. "Everyone okay." Another choke sounded from the stall. "You better get Bri out of here before I find out what happened." Jacob nodded and the stall opened Leah pulling me in. "She said she wouldn't apologize to me because I was beneath her." I held her offering her toilet paper to dry her eyes.

"Leah she is a slutty bitch. Don't ever let anyone tell you that you are less or beneath them. That is an outright lie. I'm sorry she's so ignorant." Leah laughed as I wiped her face. "Don't let her get to you and I promise I'll knock her out next time." Leah laughed and I hugged her. The door of the bathroom opened and Jacob's voice rang out. "She's gone." Leah opened the stall and we came out. "Wanna tell me what happened?" Leah pushed past him as I proceeded to tell him. Jacob's eyes flashed darker. "She is not welcome here anymore. I'll let Joe know when we close up."

"Jacob." I said quietly and he entered the bathroom. "Yeah." I looked up to see see him. "Just thanks for checking in." He nodded and his while body blocked the door. "I can help with those anger issues too if you want." I glared at him. "Nothing bad, just breathing exercises and weights, maybe some jujitsu. If you want." He took a step away from the door and opened it. "Just think about it." I nodded and walked back out to Oliver's table. They all had left and gave  me a crazy tip. I shook my head and cleared it.

I went behind the bar to help Jacob with his rush before leaving. Joe handed me my tips from the tip jar and added a few hundred for covering the table. "Thanks Joe." He shook his head and handed me an extra two hundred. "No thank you for kicking out the trash, Jacob told me what she said and thanks for staying to help again." I handed him back the extra two hundred. "I'd have done it for anyone. See you tomorrow Joe."

I walked back home knowing Oliver would be waiting. I paused at the door before sliding it open. "Ollie." There was silence so I went up and showered before knocking on his door. I opened to see him balls deep in one of Bri's friends. I slammed the door and retreated into my room. Gross.

About fifteen minutes later Oliver came in my room. "Sorry didn't hear you knock." I nodded as he sat on my bed. "Did you shower cause if not get off." He smiled and got off the bed. "You okay, what the hell happened tonight?" I retold the story and he slammed his fist into the wall making a huge hole. "Guess we both have anger issues." He took a deep breath and looked back at me. "Yeah." He nodded and I hugged him. "You gonna toss me out?" He laughed and shook his head. "No Valor."

He kissed my head and tuned on my newly braided hair. "You're stuck with me now." He said before closing my door. I fell asleep forgetting to eat dinner.

The next morning Mark and Mike shook me awake. "You wanted to go to the cliffs we gotta move, your brother's gone and Jacob's jeep just pulled out. I jumped up grabbing my suit. "Out so I can change." They both groaned, but moved outside. I slipped on my suit and grabbed my wet suit to put on in the car. Mark drove, as Mike talked me through what would happen. I followed them down the side of the cliff. Zane, Jacob, and Oliver sat on theor boards fighting to stay back.

Zane yelled for Oliver to go and I almost ran into the water, but Mark held me back. "The rocks Valor." He surfed and hit a rock. His board popped up in pieces. "Oliver!" I yelled before ripping from Mark's arms. Mike tried to grab me but I dove in. "Valor!" I heard before my head went into the waves. I looked for Oliver and saw his leg caught. The strap wrapped around his ankle and trapped in a rock. A wave came in and pushed me, but I fought against it. I used a rock to kick off of and make my way to Oliver. His head was bleeding. His body not moving as he dangled there. Another wave crashed through the rocks knocking me backwards into the same rock Oliver laid against upside down. I freed his ankle before bracing for the next wave. I pulled him up and pushed off to take another breath before getting pushed back under.

I leap frogged across the rocks not caring that my feet where getting cut up. I held on under his arms as I pushed again and again. I made it around the bend before surfacing again. I pushed on my brother's chest and pushed on hisnchest as waves crashed behind me. Water spewed up out of Oliver's mouth as I beat on his chest. He grabbed my hands before I fell on his chest. Mike and Mark made it down to us and helped my brother up. "Bro your sister is an animal." The twins said at the same time. I stood on the rock watching as Jacob took off. "Is he stupid!" I yelled as the twins turned to see Jacob stand up and surf he got just as far ad Ollie before he went under the surf. "Ohh come on!" I didn't see him surfsce and Zane paddled in to the main rock. I dove back in as Oliver screamed my name. I searched for him and didn't see him. I surfaced to see him come up thirty feet from me.

"You jumped in for me?" He smiled as I ducked. I had gotten distracted and ducked but I was to late. the wave slammed into us; Jacob's body slammed into me and then we slammed into a rock. I'm head hit it pretty hard and Jacob immediately turned his body and pressed onto me his arms reaching out and braced himself, blocking the next wave. He kissed me giving me some air. We surfaced after the following wave and he pushed me foward we jumped rocks making our way around the rocks to the front of the curved rock towards the rocks we could climb. When we made it I laid at the top and choked a bit having swallowed water on the last  wave.

Jacob rolled over me. "Valor you okay?" I nodded and his slid his hand under my head. Zane arrived and helped Jacob up off me. When he pulled his had away we saw blood. "Valor you're bleeding."

I peeled myself up as Jacob and Zane helped me up. "I'm fine. Where's Oliver?" As soon as I was up I ran to the twin's jeep. There they held Oliver down. "Look, we told you she would be fine." Mark and Mike let go at the same time and Oliver jumped up grabbing me. "Don't ever do anything like that again!" He screamed as he crushed me. "I won't if you won't." I whispered as he let me go slightly. The twins pulled up in front of the hospital.

We carried Ollie in and Jacob and Zane pulled in behind us. "You should get checked out too Valor." Jacob said as he walked in behind us. "I'm fine." He didn't argue as he walked up and told the  urge I needed help as well. "I'm fine I told her as she looked me over. "You have a cut on your head, one on your leg and goodness knows what your feet look like." She gave me a look and Jacob picked me up. I fought his arms as he led me into a room and laid me on the bed. "Please do this." His face made me pause, I'd never seen him so concerned. His usual confident and sometimes smug demeanor no where in sight. The nurse cleaned my feet, and I winced. "Can you strip the wet suit off?" I nodded and pulled it down. Jacob helped me as I lifted my butt up in the air. She cleaned a good gash that went down my leg.

"Her head is bleeding too." Jacob pointed out and she wiped that up too. "You are very lucky you dont need stitches in your head as well." She left and I shot up grabbing some glue. I pushed the skin together and glued the wound on my leg before she returned with the doctor. "Guess you didn't want stitches?" Jacob asked as he sucked in breath. "Fuck Valor your back." I ignored him. "They make me stiff and I hate the feeling of the string pulling on me skin." The doctor strolled in. He was around thirty with beach blonde hair.  "Cavern." Jacob said as the two shook hands and he forced me to the side.

The doctor looked me over. "Your back is all bruised. What are these to scars from?" The doctor asked and I struggled against Jacob. "From an old injury." Jacob ran his hand gently down them as the doctor left seeing I had already closed the wound on my leg. "Who did this to you?" I closed my eyes and got up off the bed. "Doesn't matter." I said as I pulled up the wetsuit to my waist. Jacob's arms grabbed my wrists and his eye caught the Scar on my arm. "Are they all from the accident?"

I looked up and shook my head no. "Just this one I raised my hand slightly since he still had a hold of my wrists. "The ones on your back?" I couldn't hold his gaze so I looked away. He released my arms and tilted my chin up. "Valor." He whispered before kissing me deeply. His tongue slipped over my lips. I went to open them as the door opened and Oliver burst in. "Get away from my sister Jacob."
