Favonia and Elisaweta returned along with the Sisters of the Moon. The five of them lined up in the tiny one-bedroom apartment. The walls were bare, and the only furniture was a bed, a dresser, and a small table. Josephine frowned at the meager accommodations. She had been expecting something more luxurious, given that the Sisters of the Moon were supposed to be powerful witches and assassins. The place looked like it had been abandoned years ago. The paint was peeling, the windows were broken, and the door was hanging off its hinges. I didn't have to explain that this was the only room available because we all knew it. We were all disappointed, but this was our only option. We cautiously entered the room, and I could see the disdain in everyone's eyes. At least for the night, we had to stay here.
