Santa's Little Helper, Jynx

Cora and her friends along with their Pokémon were relaxing near a beach when Kilala spotted a Pokémon near the shore.

"Espe, espeon! (Cora, look!)" Kilala pointed to the Pokémon.

The group looked to where Kilala was pointing and saw Jynx holding a boot who was looking very worried.

"A Jynx?" Cora took out her phone.

[Jynx, the Human Shape Pokémon. This Pokémon has some very unusual powers. Its special attack is the Lovely Kiss, which puts its opponent into a deep sleep.]

"Strange. What's a Jynx doing all the way out here?" Alain asked.

"Maybe it's lost?" Mairin suggested.

"Maybe." Cora turned Kilala and Chespie, "Kilala, Chespie, why don't you two go over there and talk with Jynx? Maybe you can find out why it's out here."

Kilala nodded, "Espeon. (No problem, Cora.)"

Kilala and Chespie walked over to Jynx. The Jynx was surprised to see Kilala and Chespie. One minute later, Jynx walked up to the group. Jynx held out the boot to the gang.

Cora blinked, "Why is it holding a boot?"

"Maybe it's from its trainer." Alain theorized.

Mairin gently takes the boot and looks inside and gasped, "It can't be!"

"What's wrong, Mairin?" Alain asked.

"I think this boot belongs to Santa Claus!" Mairin said.

"To Santa Claus?" Alain asked, confused.

"Just look inside," Mairin said and the others were somewhat able to see Santa's picture inside, "It's got his picture right there!"

"Then that means that Santa must be Jynx's trainer!" Cora stated.

"Espeon! (Wow!)" Kilala smiled.

"Ches! (So cool!)" Chespie's eyes sparkled.

"But why are you out here on your own, Jynx?" Alain questioned.

Jynx's hair begins to glow, and the strands of hair were placed on the gang's foreheads, and they saw a vision. They saw Jynx polishing Santa's boot at the North Pole, when the ice it was sitting on suddenly cracked and became an ice float, resulting in the Pokémon leaving the North Pole. When the vision ended, Jynx started crying.

"You drifted away from the North Pole while you were shining Santa's boot." Mairin said.

Jynx nodded with tears in the corner of its eyes.

"How's Santa gonna deliver presents without this Jynx at his right hand and this boot on his left foot?" Alain questioned.

"Don't worry, we'll help you, Jynx!" Cora proclaimed.

Alain nodded in agreement, "This should be fun."

Kilala and Chespie nodded while smiling. Santa's Jynx thanked them repeatedly.

The gang finished the raft they've made for Jynx to get to the North Pole and the water Pokémon were pulling it as they swam through the water. But soon the Pokémon were starting to get tired.

"They're getting tired." Alain observed.

"Yeah." Mairin agreed.

"Mairin, let's switch with our other water Pokémon." Cora decided.

Mairin nodded, "Right."

So Cora and Mairin returned their water Pokémon and let out the others. But soon after a while, the water Pokémon began to get tired. Cora and Mairin switched their water Pokémon again. Then Alain switched with them. Cora let out her last one which was Rory and Alain let out his last one which was his shiny Gyarados. After a few moments, the two Atrocious Pokémon got tired as well. So Cora and Alain had to return them.

"I'll pull us the rest of the way so they can get some rest." Cora volunteered as she took off her clothes, leaving her in her cobalt blue one-piece swimsuit which made Alain blush at the sight.

"Are you sure?" Mairin asked.

"I'm sure." Cora assured them as she tied the rope around her waist and got into the water. Then she started pulling the raft. She soon started feeling a little tired but pushed herself to keep going for Jynx's sake.

"(Chosen one.)"

She suddenly heard a voice making her look over her shoulder, "Did you guys say something?"

"I didn't say anything." Mairin said.

Alain shook his head, "I haven't said a word."

Kilala and Chespie shook their heads.

"I see." Cora turned back around, 'Maybe I just imagined it.'

"(You've got a long way to go.)"

She knew she didn't mishear it that time but didn't have time to think about it as she was soon swept up in a wave, while the others were drifting away on the raft.

"Cora!" Alain and Mairin yelled.

Cora was plunged underwater but surprisingly she could breathe, "What? How am I breathing underwater?"

"(Chosen one.)"

She looked ahead of her and saw a pale blue light of a creature that looked pretty big in her opinion, getting a closer look she saw it was a Lapras!

"A Lapras!"

Lapras smiled, "(Indeed. I was sent by Santa to help find Jynx and bring her back to the North Pole. Then I saw you trying to help Jynx. That was very kind of you.)"

Before Cora could say anything else, Lapras already brought her to the surface where the gang was staring at her with relieved faces.

"You're okay!" Mairin said with relief.

Alain was relieved as well. Then he realized something, "Wait a minute! She's riding a Lapras."

Mairin took out Cora's phone:

[Lapras. This intellectual advanced Pokémon is able to understand human speech. With its mild temperament, Lapras prefers to carry humans on its back, rather than engage in Pokémon battles.]

"Wow, so it can understand people? Cool." Mairin smiled.

Lapras chuckled, "(Thank you for the compliment.)"

"It talks?!" Mairin exclaimed.

"(Like Jynx, I am able to communicate telepathically. I will bring you all to Santa's workshop as a token of thanks.)" Lapras smiled.

"Thanks, Lapras!" Cora thanked Lapras.

Lapras giggled and decided to pull the raft for the gang. The gang was happy to hear that.

As Lapras was pulling the raft, they noticed rain clouds and took out their raincoats and put them on. The only Pokémon that stayed out were Jynx, Kilala, Chespie, Jevin (Togepi), and Jackal (Shiny Lucario), who popped out of his Pokéball and decided to stay out for a while. Kilala was cuddled inside of Cora's raincoat. Chespie and Jevin were cuddled inside of Mairin's raincoat. Jynx used her hair to keep Jackal from getting wet.

"This so exciting!" Mairin was smiling from ear to ear.

"I never thought we would get to meet Santa." Alain stated.

"I'm so nervous." Cora smiled nervously.

"There's no need to be nervous," Alain smiled, "I'm sure Santa's a nice person."

"(He is, he knows all of you very well.)" Lapras told them.

They swam for what felt like hours until they finally arrived at Santa's workshop up ahead of them, but before they could go any further a large Gyarados submarine appeared blocking their path.

"What the-?" Mairin stared up at the monstrosity.

"Team Rocket!" Cora glared.

Team Rocket appeared on the top of the submarine. However, they looked exhausted as they tried to say their motto.

"Quick Lapras use Ice Beam!" Cora called out.

Lapras used Ice Beam and froze Team Rocket and their submarine, preventing them from moving, "(We'll bring them inside and see what their intentions are.)"

"If you say so, Lapras." Cora said uncertainly.

"I say we just toss them in the ocean." Mairin suggested.

"Um...no." Cora sweat-dropped.

"That would be too cruel, Mairin." Alain sweat-dropped.

"Let go of me right now!" Jessie demanded.

They got Team Rocket inside and tied them up so they wouldn't cause any trouble.

"Forget it." Alain glared.

"Yeah, the second we let you guys go you'll just cause trouble like you always do." Mairin stated.

"Of course we cause trouble." Jessie smirked.

"And we make it double." James smirked.

Cora instantly gaged them, "There's no way I'm listening to that."

Alain and Mairin gave her a thumbs up.

"But why was Team Rocket here waiting for us anyway?" Cora questioned.

However, Cora already knew why.

Lapras looked at them, "(It would appear that the one called Jessie has a grudge against Jynx.)"

"Why?" Mairin tilted her head.

Jessie spat out the cloth Cora put in her mouth, "Because that thief stole my doll!"

Silence.

Everyone looked at her and it was silent for a few minutes before a few of them went off.

"Are you serious?!" Mairin yelled.

Cora sweat-dropped, "I don't even want to imagine that."

"Me neither." Alain agreed with a sweat-drop.

"I remember it clearly! I woke up and watched that thieving Pokémon take my doll!" Jessie accused.

"Jynx did no such thing." A voice stated making them all turn around to see a man wearing a red suit sporting a white beard.

"It's Santa!" Cora smiled.

Santa came over to them, "Jynx didn't steal your doll Jessie, she merely took it to bring it back here to the shop to fix it up because it was broken."

"So that's what happened." Mairin said.

Jynx went in the back and brought over Jessie's doll from way back then and gave it to her. Jessie stared at the doll with tears in her eyes, Santa had Jynx untie her so she could hold her doll, and "You mean you didn't try to steal it? You were just getting it repaired for me?"

Jynx nodded.

"But then why didn't you return it?" Jessie questioned.

"Because you stopped believing that's why." Santa told her.

Jessie smiled from ear to ear and hugged the doll close to her chest making the others smile, but of course Meowth had to ruin it when he somehow got free and summoned another Gyarados submarine and tried to grab the presents, but Santa wouldn't allow it. He summoned a bunch of Jynx's out of nowhere.

"Jynx use Psywave!" Santa ordered.

All of the Jynx's raised their hands in the air and summoned blue rings making the presents come back to them much to Meowth and James's shock, Jessie was too busy in her own little world happy to have her doll back.

"Kilala, use Psybeam! Jackal, Aura Sphere!" Cora commanded.

"Chespie, use Bullet Seed!" Mairin added.

Kilala, Chespie and Jackal jumped in the air and sent their powerful attacks and destroying the Gyarados submarine.

"TEAM ROCKET'S BLASTING OFF AGAIN!" James and Meowth screamed as they disappeared into the sky.

DING!

"They just never learn, do they?" Cora said.

Alain nodded, "Yeah."

Santa laughed merely before he gave them all presents much to their surprise, but they simply smiled having received them.

Santa had given Cora a Dragon Scale, Mairin had received a keystone which she always wanted to have, and Alain got a Metal Coat.

"Cora, I have a special present for you." Santa told the girl.

"What is it?" Cora asked.

"I want you to have this." Santa held out a blue twelve holed ocarina.

"Wow, it's so beautiful. But are you sure you want me to have it?" Cora asked, uncertain.

Santa nodded, "I have a feeling that you will need it."

Cora gazed at Santa and back at the ocarina. Then she gently took the ocarina from his hands. As she held it, she felt a connection to it. She looked up and smiled at Santa, "I'll take good care of it, Santa."

Santa smiled and nodded, "I know you will."

The gang bid Santa farewell and saw him get on his sleigh riding off into the night sky, "Merry Christmas to all, and to all a good night!"

Having helped Santa, the gang headed off with happy memories.
