Chapter 20: A Loyalty couldn't be cut easily

Third POV

Eric winced when he treated his wounds, he thought about the blank expression that Beatrice give to him making him sigh in frustration.

'I can't get what her expression is because she put up a blank expression.' Eric thought and put down the cotton that is now covered in blood, he patched the wounds up and grabbed immediately get his coat and went to the door.

'I need to find that Crisanto boy.' He thought as he closed the door, he didn't notice that a book fell down from his shelves.

The book was titled "The Origin Of The Desmond Family"

Eric's POV

I have no choice but to let that Crisanto boy knows this, since Beatrice said that she will broke the ties between the three of us.

Even though it hurts, I still have to tell him since his her friend too. I have a feeling in my gut that she still hasn't told him yet.

I passed the school that me, Beatrice, and that Crisanto boy went to, memories immediately came crashing at me, but I shook it off and was about to walk away.

All of a sudden, a gust of wind came, it had a calming presence but at the same time, it had a lot of emotions that humans have, it was soo confusing to me, when I followed where it came from, it leads me in the school.

When I got inside, I heard a faint musical instrument that had been played, in my opinion it had to be a violin and it was distant, it felt like it comes from the rooftop, I had no objections to check it, so I did.

But when I arrived, the presence behind the rooftop door overwhelmed me, so I gulped as I raised my shaking hand and gripped the door knob.

I immediately took a calming breathe and opened the door slightly, but what I saw made my eyes widened, as my jaw was slightly agape, in front of me was Crisanto, but it was not the Crisanto that I used to know that I have meet together after Beatrice.

The Crisanto in front of me had a light imitating from his body while playing the violin professionally. As I realized, he was playing it while singing.

Crisanto's POV

"Your melody is my song

All this comes from You

Re-offered to You

I offer my whole heart to You~"

I sang, I know that someone is watching me, but I don't care. I need to get something out from my chest.

The violin was playing with the rhythm along with the song that I was currently singing.

"The only thing I want

I will leave everything

Nothing more is needed, this is enough~"

Is this really right? I know it's forbidden to fall in love with a human, because I am immortal. But, I couldn't help it.

I'm sorry I lied, I felt like a terrible friend, I lied about my current life here.

But, even though I think of something like that, I can't always get comfortable to her and Eric.

Because in the end, people die in the right time, and the right moment if they will not cut their own destinies by committing suicide.

I gritted my teeth. 'DAMMIT! WHY CAN'T WE, THE IMMORTALS AND HUMANS CAN FALL IN LOVE?!' I thought in frustration.

Just then, the rooftop door was slammed open and it revealed Eric, who was the cause of it, Eric glared at me while I watched him in shock.

I know that someone is watching but, I didn't expect it to be Eric and be the first one to find out.

Third POV

"We need to talk." Eric said seriously as he glared at Crisanto.

He was soo sure that it was some questions that involved at what happened a minute ago.

"Shoot" Crisanto replied but Eric look at him with a dot eyes, he couldn't understand him.

"What I meant is, tell me the question that you want me to answer, but I can't promise that I will answer it all because their are some answers that involve personal stuff." Crisanto nod as Eric was now satisfied.

"Now, first of all, what are you?" Eric asked, Crisanto sighed and shrug. Most of Eric's questions was only either replied in a shrugging his shoulder and nod and shake his head.

The two talked and they realized that they didn't even know Beatrice that much yet, she's still a mystery for the two but she was already gone somewhere.

Crisanto's POV

As I was talking to Eric about Beatrice, he handed me his phone and let me the hear the record.

When I heard the recordings, I was burts into tears. She was my first true friend here but she cut ties with me.

'I wouldn't let it!' I thought. 'I will find the way to find out why would she do that!' I dragged Eric with me.

"Where are we going?" Eric asked, I side glanced him. "Somewhere. We need to find out what made her do this, we need to help her as long as she's here. I don't want to cut ties with her because she's been a good person." I stated, Eric silently agreed.

But his pride and ego will be ruined so he stayed quiet for the time being.

Beatrice POV

I stumbled in my office and immediately collapsed on my bed, but I stood up again and went in my solo bathroom, I put water in it and when it was full, I went in the tub.

It felt nice, it was chill, the water is cold enough for my body. I was slowly got drifted off to sleep.
