"Aurora, where is Mom?" Elisia asked as she stepped into the grand hallway with her friends.
She planned to introduce them and hoped her mother would allow them to stay. It would be easier for her to enter the Chamber again if she had additional distractions, especially if her mother was home.
"I am sorry, but your mother is not home, Elisia. Did she not call you? Ms. Marcia had an urgent trip today." Aurora informed her, surprised that she was home. "She was not expecting you will be home too, I presume."
Her mother's assistant was right about that. She forgot to call her mother earlier since the trip home was chaotic, especially when she did not expect that Isaac would be joining them.
She was trying to avoid him, so it was an opportunity not to see him while she was back in her territory. However, when Adam and Avana decided that it would be better if Isaac also came along with them, she had no choice but to agree.
