The darkness inside the realm vanished immediately as it was vanquished by the bright light that exploded from the broken debris from the ground walls.

'Did it work?'

I thought about the success rate of this plan. If successful I would be able to at least stagger his movements. If not then it would be the death of me from the stabbings through my heart.

The initial plan was to let him destroy multiple walls that I will make with each small gap imbued with mana that makes up intricately made traps that were layered upon itself making it much more effective in surprise attacks.

It was difficult to keep track of someone who is super fast with super strength. The best possible action I could think of was stopping the movements of Y. I did not have much experience with fighting someone who can dodge my attacks before I even made them.

Time passed as smoke began to dissipate from the thundering noise the explosion did. The ground was left behind a big crater which was evident in the explosion's intensity.

However, Y wasn't present in the spot where the crater was formed. I panicked and furiously looked around trying to find where he could be.

Then multiple explosions began to happen in a clockwise motion, the traps that I have set have been triggered most probably by Y.

Traps were laid out on the ground next to me in a scattered position. I was oblivious to his patterns of attacking. Thinking about how it's not me that comes to him I devised a turtling plan that would make it possible for me to stay in the fight in a much more sustainable way.

Explosions happened around me as it came near to my position. In the midst of it all, a giant black silhouette can be seen flashing through the fields at rapid speeds following behind the silhouette.

'Y is always fast, I don't think I would be able to battle him in strength or speed.'

The traps I set were quickly being triggered however, it wasn't effective when it comes to someone fast. I placed my hand on the ground, I quickly synthesized more to replenish the traps that were being used.

I was surrounded by my traps isolating myself from the far world. As I realized this, the explosions stopped. I quickly found it odd and looked at where it was last heard.

I didn't see anything from there, no movements can be seen or heard. It was oddly quiet.

'Did he give up?' I thought. 'No that can't be the case would it?'

I soon dispelled the thought as I saw a massive tree flying across the field toward me. Out of instinct I raised a giant wall made from earth and blocked it with just a second delay of being hit.

The wall was partially broken as the tree gave an offset of explosions triggering a chain reaction around me. The traps that I placed my confidence in were used against me.

I visualize a thick earth dome that would cover every inch of where I was. Explosions happily cheered as they invited others to join the conversation with excruciating noises.

Every time parts of the earth dome were broken my heart would jump and I would quickly replace it with a sense of anxiety that explosions might come through any time.

Y dared to use my spells against me.

It was extremely effective as I was rendered useless inside the dome that I keep rejuvenating with my mana as fast as I could.

The explosions stopped after a while. I was mentally tired from all the self-destructing mechanisms that happened around me.

Although you cannot get tired here physically or get injured. But, your mental capacity of yours would be affected by the events that would happen around you.

I was limping from the mental exhaustion that I experience, all was very heavy, and although my body was still energetic. I was having a difficult time moving without the presence of my mind.

It was hard to comprehend the situation that just happened. Things weren't looking good for me as all my defenses were turned to offense only to be used against me. It was a feeling of failure and disappointment that came to me.

I didn't even think that was possible until I realized that my uncle used a rock to trigger the same chain reaction in the room that I was once in.

It was the day when things began to subsequently come into play and continue to worsen as time passed. I could never forget that. Now I am here fighting for my life training to obtain an unknown object down the basement.

I reaffirmed myself and quickly imagined sharp spikes that would appear everywhere near me as soon as the dome went down. It was hard to imagine, of course, I overclocked my thoughts once more as I struggled to give my all.

'Alright, I can do this' Everything was ready I gave myself the necessary motivation I needed to pull this off.

And with that I made the earth dome vanish. Spikes quickly emerge from the ground piercing air and cutting through the transparent fog that was prevalent inside the abode.

It was quiet. Nothing happened, it was oddly quiet. Things weren't going as I expected, the plains were still, and the broken pieces that were scattered on the ground were laid to rest.

I heard a shrill sound far away, I looked over and found trees that were thrown with strong speeds that penetrated the air making the high pitch noise.

After that, I face a barrage of trees being thrown at me. I was overwhelmed by his attack by the large trees that eviscerated the land. That day I got stabbed in the heart less than a hundred times in exchange for experiencing what it feels like to be flattened by the forest more times than I can count.

The day ended with Y giving me another educational beating. I woke up in the infirmary once more, my body was slowly getting better. It allowed me to deal with Y's attack with much more response.

It was then I realized another weakness that is crucial when fighting. I lack the means to quickly counter any long-range attacks that were thrown at me.

'I'll also need long-range attacks that would hit somebody from a far distance' I thought as I stayed inside the infirmary.

Every day I feel revitalized from the pain coursing through me. The infection from the shade that it inflicted on my left hand was almost gone, however, it left a scar. A small burn on my left hand.

It was the end of the day when the training ended. It was an educational training from the way of things but honestly, it was just like the training that I received when I was back when I was six years old. I was good enough to walk properly without any issues, I stood up and approached the window bringing a chair in hand.

I placed it beside the window where I sat down at a leisurely pace. I stared at the empty village from above, the rustic view and mesmerizing night made it enjoyable. The tranquility that the night offered was addicting. The stars that shined through the night sky with great delight, brought a smile to my face as I stared at them with peaceful recognition of my surroundings.

I then recounted everything that happened in my life. It flashed my memory as I remember the times when the hounds were still here, after training we play, do stupid stuff, and just sleep. In the morning, the usual routine continues.

Y didn't come out tonight and I was thankful for that, it made the evening much more interesting and enjoyable. The dark night illuminated by the stars was a captivating view, though pain may asunder the world as I know it. The stars would never fail to shine in the night.

"In the bright black light, the darkest hours of the night, even in peril shall stars shine without fright," I stated a quote that I once read in a book that I forgot the title of.

I took a little longer to stare at the night's gaze and then thought about things in a much more conventional way on how to respond to situations like the fight with the trees that fly through the sky.

It was a sight that I would never forget, and an experience that might be hard to encounter again. Suffering through all of this, it made me feel the burden of the oath that I swore. But it is an oath that I am willing to uphold till the end of my life.

That night was the last night I can articulate with precise words. In the following days, it was the abyss, the cycle continued in which I thought of plans only to be defeated and had to recalibrate everything. The days went fast, and now I was on my way to venture through the basement.

I'll be changing the title of the novel to make it much more interesting. Those that do know about the original name congrats :)). Thank you for sticking with me
